Most pirates in history actually don't know how to swim. It's sometimes deliberately not taught to discourage desertion (or crewmen will jump off the moment a neighbouring sandbar is reached), and also partly as a gesture of mercy - swimming makes a swift death in water into a long, drawn-out one.

@@niksarass Hello! I believe it called Marathan catamaran, and it can be found in Asian Dynasties. It suppose to be a fishing boat, but it can also fight ships. (Don't expect a huge dmg) it's just really fast to capture, and if your opponent got many of them, it might get annoying fighting them.

It only comes up with mortars and similar. The equivalent of catapults and the like.
Quite sure only smaller arms like muskets, bows and a few artillery types can't miss, but I haven't played in a while...

Reminds me of Sid Meier's Pirates. Shots also have ballistics so they are avoidable, ships need time to turn their broadside to you, movement depends on wind direction and strength and Indian canoe is fastest and most maneuverable ship. So you see skilled players taking on battleships of major power with a single canoe with silk sails;)
