Chain shrunk approx 60" not 30" I apologize, I sometimes get confused with all the numbers... so remember to make a huge chain 60" longer than what you want
As I watched this video, I couldn’t help but notice your beautiful hands! Your skin is so smooth and wrinkle free😊you could have been a hand model! Thank you for choosing to share your crochet skills with us; this pattern is beautiful.
Crystal! 🙏🏻 I appreciate your tutorials very much because there is no distracting nail art/nail polish and finger jewelry. I can focus purely on the hook/yarn and your soothing voice as I crochet along with you. 😊Thank you very much. ❤❤❤
I made myself a chevron afghan when I was in high school in 1972. Orange, brown, gold, & avacado. So 70s!!! I loved it but now I hate chevron patterns. When you showed this afghan the other day, I loved it. And the steep ripples are amazing. I've never seen a pattern within a chevron pattern. I bought this yarn in several colors from JoAnns. Thank you for this GORGEOUS pattern. TFS! Austin TX USA
@@alicehathaway1377 Exactly. I'm just finishing #2. But I have yarn for 9 more blankets. So I'll be busy for a while. Hardest part is picking which pattern to use!!! Glad to meet another Texas crocher!
I love this so much. It is so different from others. I love the sharpness of the chevrons but then the rounded appearance of the actual stitches makes it even better. The color combo is gorgeous too.
My mother had a sharp chevron afghan that was her grand mother's when I was growing up. It was beautiful and lost many many years ago. I ha e always wanted another one. Thank you for this tutorial!
😂 sometimes hear Crystal's voice in my head with different types of V stitches... After the the first 2 stitches and chains I hear: "Aaaand two more doubles"
That's so interesting.... It reminds 'me' of the woodsy leaves in the Fall 🍂🍁🍂🍁 We must be both drawn to the Seasons 😍 Now we just need to Crochet the other Seasons ! Wouldn't that be cool ! Have a Great Day...GOD Bless 💜
When I first started crocheting, probably 40 some years ago, chevrons blankets were all I knew how to do. Just a basic double crochet ones though This is beautiful
I just saw this yesterday and fell in love with this blanket. I placed my order with JoAnn's today. I cannot wait to make this. Everything I have crocheted over the past few years I have given away or donated. This lovely work of art I will be keeping for myself !
You've definitely got my attention on this one. It reminds me of an Amish pattern from years ago. You explain it so well and I appreciate it very much. 🩷🩷🩷
I love this! I’m going to make a blanket for my son next. Thanks for being such an amazing teacher. I seriously would not have been able to learn how to crochet 2 years ago without you. Love everything you do ❤
Crystal, this is truly a labor of love and patience. The outcome is simply gorgeous. This is to be made for someone you love. I will try out this pattern by making a scarf. Thanks for all your hard work.
I really love this stitch. You have made crocheting a lot easier than I remember doing by myself years ago. Thank you so very much for your hard work. Much love 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
I love all your tutorials Crystal, but this is by far my favorite Chevron pattern!!! 😊❤❤ Is there anything you can't do?!!! Lol 😂 Bravo my dear crochet sister! ❤
Crystal, you make everything crochet seem possible! I love your enthusiasm and encouragement. Back in “the day” we called these ripple afghans. I hated the counting. But, your design is spectacular so I think that my hook will be humming. Thank you!
I love these steep peaks! Thanks Chrystal for spending the extra time to explain the pattern and the edges! I am enjoying the crocheting and truly excited about my upcoming finished blanket. The pattern is so pretty!
Yes!!! For me, it's like learning a new language. My swatch finally looks good! Thank you Crystal! I am going to practice another row, then pull out the project yarn for the real deal! 😊
I really like the colours you've chosen for this blanket. If I were to put a border on this one (which I probably won't) I think I'd begin and end the blanket in the same colour, say grey, and then just do single crochets down was side in the grey. I'd leave the top and bottom edges because they look great as they are.
I cannot wait to start this tomorrow morning. I lost my crojo about 2 years ago and haven't seen anything that caught my "crottention" in a long time. I can't wait to go through my "yarn store" 😂😂for my colors.
Thank you Crystal gor a stunning chevron pattern. I don't ever use bulky yarns, sometimes I use 4 weight. I will make this pattern in #4 yarn right after I finishe the last shawl pattern
Oh sweet peaks and valleys😂😂😂 this one is so darn pretty. The texture is amazing. And i learned some really good info about Chevrons that i had not understood before, and that's to account for fact it'll "shrink" in width. Thank you❤
So loving this pattern...I may have done something wrong on the ends but kept it consistent so it worked out ok... I've found crochet can be forgiving 😉 as long as it's consistent!
This caught my eye immediately! My favourite combo of colours there Crystal! I’ve never had a go at sharp chevrons so now I must do them 😂 Thank you as always 👌💜💜🇬🇧
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful color choices but the second thing really drew me in. How did she get this wonderful texture in a sharp chevron? Now I know! Thank you, Crystal! This is really, really pretty!
I have never done a chevron nor a zig zag ripple none, but you made it so easy to follow along I learn just watching this video once!!! So happy with this pattern can't wait to finish it!
Thanks for this chevron/ripple pattern. I’ve never enjoyed doing these (even though they’re supposedly beginner patterns) because of the constant counting. This is so much easier working in V stitches. This will definitely be one of my go to’s in the future ❤
I love the Chevron pattern! This one is gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to make it. And like other comments, your color scheme is beautiful!!!
I've been waiting for this tutorial. I picked the colors days ago and have been chomping at the bit to make it. It will be my first ever chevron blanket and it's going to be a baby blanket for a friend of my daughters. Thank you Crystal!!!
Hey Crystal! I really like the sharp chevrons! It's so different from the 'classic' chevron, not that there is anything wrong with the classic ones. It's just a nice change. Thanks for all you do! Love ya! ❤️🇺🇸🦄🧚
Love it! Beautiful colors. I never liked the chevron stitch. I have done chevron granny, but this is so gorgeous! I love that it looks so textured. This will be my next project! Thanks for another great tutorial!
Hi Crystal how are you doing today iam doing fine today your blanket are very beautiful colors and very beautiful work thank you for sharing stay safe ❤❤❤
Crstyal thanks for explaining the pattern desing will strink. I should have watched this tutorial 1st. I started working on another aghan, that designer didn't explain the process,, so I thought my blanket would going to be huge based on the # of chains I had to make, so i frogged it. So, now I'm restarting using this pattern.
Crystal, I"m so excited to see this tutorial! I hope you post it in your FB group. I have a UFO 80% complete using this pattern, would have been so nice to have had this video tutorial when I started it. I don't see enough blankets made of this pattern. I will post pics of my UFO in your FB group, preferably after you post this tutorial there. Camille
Crystal, When you previewed this high peaked chevron, you definitely peeked my interest, as I don't care for chevron that much. Yours was stunning! Now that I watched you work it, I truly wonder how your beautiful mind works. I was speechless watching you turn an old pattern into something that is so stunning. The high peaks and lacey effect. You have a brilliant mind. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. 💛🤎💛
I love the Chevron stitch. I also love the colors you chose, as always. We have the same taste, so naturally I will always love what you create. Hope you have a Super happy rest of your week and always remember that I "Love You Bunches"!
