    I recently bought the Plena lens for $1350 from the store Abt, it was a display lens open box. Absolutely amazing lens on the ZF. There were a few days of nice weather for me to shoot outdoors and I’m completely satisfied with this purchase.

      That’s still a steal! That’s the combo I want one day!

    I've had my Plena for a week or so and I love it! The first two pictures just blew my mind. I am going to use it for my landscape photography. Perfect for that in my book. I think there are many uses for it...not just portraits...which is my favorite images to shoot. It is a beauty that's for sure. Peace...

    It is a beautiful lens with character. I have 85mm f1.2 and just bought 135mm f1.8. I am loving both of them

      Actually I've got a question for you. What do you think of the 135mm vs the 85mm? Are they very similar in terms of focal length? What are your thoughts

      @highdynamicphotographyfilm2235 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That’s the first thing I tested when I got the lens 😂
      They are not the similar in focal length, on my recent wedding photoshoot, I used both just to test it out and 85mm you can stay much closer to subject and with 135mm, to get similar shot, you need to stay back quite far.
      I wasn’t able to use 135mm for the bride getting ready shot but when we wet out for outdoor portrait, I couldn’t be happier with the kind of shots I was getting. They both (85mm f/1.2 & 135mm f/1.8) are great lenses, but I feel they are different in their own ways. I was extremely happy with 135mm result.
      Also, I noticed you mentioned you have 24-70 f/2.8 so 85mm was too close to it…just wanted to say, I also have 24-70 f/2.8 but you really cannot compare those two lenses. Of course, I use them for different application.

      I have 85 1.8, is it worth to get Plena ?
      I shoot mainly portraits.
      Thanks

    Loved your review. Got the Plena to use along with my Zf. It’s unbelievable for both Streetscape and Landscape work. It’s a special lens.

      the Zf and Plan combo must be gorgeous, I'm glad you enjoyed my review!

    Great review! I have a Z 14-30 f/4 and a Z 24-70 f/2.8 used on a Z 7II and I think this will complete my kit. I am a predominately a landscape shooter and have been ambivalent about the Plena since it's marketed as a "portrait" lens but I think your review has pushed me over the edge. Thanks!

    Both the 105/1.4E and the 200/2 are equally spectacular .hopefully someone can do a side to side image comparison will be greatly appreciated.

      Matt Granger did a similar comparison with 105 F1.4, 135 F1.8 and 85 F1.2 if I remember correctly.

    It would be interested to use it for panoramic stitching because of its ability to have sharp corner to corner wide open at f1.8. Ian Norman did this with the sigma 105 F1.4

    • @TheProjectPhotography
      @TheProjectPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's what I was thinking. And it's such a nice focal length for panoramas as well. The lack of vignetting really helps with minimizing those dark lines that show up due to vignetting

    Would you use it for landscape ? For a similar budget you could buy 100-400 z

    Also, just so you know, I am a gear whore 😂 and also lucky enough to own pretty much all the high-end Nikon & Canon glass & cameras

    135mm is too long 🤷‍♂️
    Prefer 105mm f1.4
    The 85mm f1.2 is too expensive
