I have something similar but it's not linked to heart or liver. It's a goes away when drink regularly so I pee. It gets worse in the summer so both tend to swell, but it's not bad when I was good shoes it's not bad. Now that it's winter one of my ankle and foot has returned to normal, but my other is just beginning stubborn. My mom and sister have the same problem, it gets better over time.
Also, I have to watch the salt and sweets, and I am on my feet a lot so they tend to swell.

His mandate on this vid was not to "cure" you, but to explain the causes of edema.

Ty Dr. Very informative. But you could have stressed that standing for long periods can cause it too.

I have pitting edema in my foot and from my knee to my ankle is swollen as well. Had leg surgery over a month ago. Gracilis muscle was used in a flap procedure. Had some complications like a superficial clot, hematoma and unknown infection in the leg. After three other antibiotics, I was put on cipro and that's when the swelling in the lower leg and foot really started happening. I've been off cipro for a little over a week and no matter what I do the swelling stays and activity makes it worse. Anyone have any ideas because I'm so tired of doctors being perplexed by me.

To be fair friend, he did explain the causes of Pitting Edima at minute 1:20 including heart problems or liver etc .. that helps to understand what is happening and to do more research on how to support the heart or liver while you set an appointment with your physician to narrow down the exact cause.
It's good to come in armed with plenty of research on your own before getting a diagnosis. I've been burned before by a doctor not giving me the whole story and after looking at the package of meds he was offering me that had potential death as a side effect...I declined the medication as it wasn't required to fix me up, but I only offered a potential speeding up of the process or lowering symptoms. I'd take the long road over possible death. Worked out, and glad I read the medication insert.
So this doc gives a good starting point, but do extra research on your own so you can be an informed patient and be able to ask the right questions and even suggest things you've found in mainstream research that the doc may be too much of a hurry to bring up. Knowledge is power 🙏✝️🙏
