They mean that every time you rename a city it resets after you leave the game, so like if you’re Greece and you captured Istanbul and wanted to rename it Constantinople, you would have to redo it every time you reload the game.
I hope AOG3 can cancel the keyboard of AOG2. AOG2's keyboard can only input English, which will prevent players from changing city names to other languages
I want the game to be complicated like paradox games, but it should also be easy for beginners to pick up the game and learn. The problem with AOH2 was that it was so simple and so depthless that there was a ton of things I didn't like. He should make the game as in-depth as possible. I also hope Lukaz makes the AI semi-realistic, adds something like focus trees, and adds irl events into eras like HOI4.
I hope making custom scenarios wont become too difficult. The main charm of AOH2 for me over other strategy games is you can make custom scenarios and custom nations yourself without any mods or external applications
I hope it will be amazing. Would be even more if lukasz added a capitulation concept/reworked peace treaty system. You see, during wars in aoh2 you always have to conquer everything in order to gain the maximum amount of points, which you can spend to acquire new lands in the peace negotiations. Especially considering smaller nations, I think it would be helpful to add some sort of capitulation once you conquer your enemies’ capital, in order to save time and troops
From what I've seen, I believe Age of History 3 will be a good thing, I don't mind the leaders dying from old age, or by event. I like it. Anyway what made the AOH series so simple was always that bigger numbers beat lower numbers, now it does not work like that, its strategically. You have to think and decide which units is best, how to win. I like that
@@vladimirbrkovic3925So what? Some people may just dont like it, but I dont really have a problem with it. But it may be a little annoying if someone's doing a medieval until modern ages playthrough.
I am very much excited for it, I just have the same worries as you do that some additions will make AOH2 too similar to other big strategy games to where it doesn’t stand out as much. It was always a game that was easy to learn and was easy to have fun with. However, this could also help it, by combining different aspects of other strategy games with the base AOH2 content could be cool.
I think keeping the turn system would be a really good idea as well. In the end i would hope AOH3 could combine aspects of the major grand strategy games to make a game that changes as you play it, and it allows you to start in say 1 AD and play until the modern day, covering 2000 years of history, with mechanics and styles of gameplay changing as you go. The only issue is that AOH3 is being made by one dude, and I wouldn't want him to overwork himself to where we never even get the game or don't get it until like 2027-30. I think rn he will probably be able to release late 2024 to 2026.
This is good. Anything that creates more complexity is going tl be good (as long as it is possible to implement) This is because we need more people to actually try and compete with paradox, and with eachother. We need to set the standard higher than before.
There is this AoH2 mod called: "Bloody Europe 2" and it has A LOT OF PROVINCES. As much as I love that Lukasz is putting effort into this game, I’m afraid of it becoming a HOI4 clone. AOH2 is charming because it’s simple and easy-to-use. Making it more like HOI4 and EU4 could take that away. There could some merit in a HOI4 clone with an in-game modder though. AOH2’s customization tools are awesome and I hope that’s expanded on here.
