Respectfully Stevie… Arsenal had 15 shots against Liverpool with a x3.5 xg basically. They had more touches round Liverpools final third and they created the tempo of the game.

So Liverpool couldn’t have one shot in the target in first half. Arsenal xG was 3.5 compared to 0.49 to Liverpool. This is called playing opponents out of Park. Liverpool were totally outplayed , a team top of the table. The score could easily would have been 5-0 to Arsenal. This is the Liverpool team which were hitting opponents off the park before coming to Arsenal. Explains how good Arsenal was.
This is actually the first real loss of the season for Liverpool. The Tottenham one was robbery. Missing key players like Salah, Szobo, Endo & (recently) Bradley, plus not fully fit Nunez, greatly weakened the team. But congrats to Arsenal, they deserved the win👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

When Salah-Szoboszlai-ConorBradley, 2 worldies and arguably the hottest player on the planet, would've been ideal, and you get what we got, plus Anthony Taylor deciding to send off Ibou and not Gabriel, on a possible breakaway for a fresh Darwin, LiV could've maybe escaped the day. Klopp will definitely add this to the ammo already piled with the TOT referee debacle. ARS definitely got lucky being matched up against a less potent LiV. Is what it is. Let the dogfight continue.

You guys are missing that Arsenal played "without" a striker. Havertz nearly costed us the 1st goal when he missed an open chance. Arsenal is also playing the entire season without Partey, IMO, our best midfielder when fit. Also, Timber would have played at the back had he been fit.
So yes, Liverpool missed some players but Arsenal missed more. Yes Salah is an attacker and therefore gets all the headlines but impact wise, Partey is as important to Arsenal.

There’s been a lot of twists and turns in the title race and it seems like Arsenal are still in the hunt to win the league this season even though many people think that they’ll bottle the title. Liverpool lost to them mainly because of defensive errors, overall Arsenal played better and from watching them you can see how well Mikel Arteta sets up this team, sometimes you wonder how much better they’ll be when they have an elite striker on their team because there’s nothing wrong with their team, they just don’t have a killer in front of goal. Arsenal are a good team and while Mikel Arteta isn’t an elite manager just yet he’s a good coach, the only problem with them is their fans and even though they beat Liverpool today they shouldn’t act like they won the league and it seems like they’re missing some consistency as one day they’re playing beautiful football and it looks like he got it all clicking another day they lose miss a lot of chances and start questioning their title credentials. Arsenal are still in the race for the title but if they don’t build off of this game, then the title race will be between Liverpool and Manchester City again.

The result would have been the same even if Salah was playing. The fact is that Arsenal closed down all Liverpool passing lanes forward. This is why they had to go sideways and backwards so often and why they didn’t have a shot on target for so long. Arsenal simply had control of the game, even if Liverpool sometimes had the ball in and dangerous areas.
