Charlotte Bay Hassager - Grand Challenges on Atmospheric Science

🔎 In addition to the interview with Will Shaw on the grand challenges paper on atmospheric, we also asked co-author Charlotte Hasager to give her views on the challenges:
"So not only do we have the stresses of the wind on the wind turbine, but we also have the waves and the currents and swell posing a challenge as well. So really bringing together these diverse data sets and also developing some of the modelling tools that can work in the atmosphere as well as for the ocean and then expressions of the waves," says Charlotte. "So I would point to remote sensing is an interesting tool. Remote sensing is such a good measurement principle because we don't need to have a mass that is 300 meters tall or installed in deep water."
