I remember Saroj Khan jee once said Madhuri was always technically a better dancer than Sridevi but Sridevi worked incredibly hard to master the choreography. Seeing that first dance OMG, it was flawless, graceful and technically brilliant that it looked effortless. I was blown away watching it. It’s a difficult choreography and to do it without stopping and make it exactly the same as the movie is sheer brilliance! Sridevi ❤
She totally owns the stage, the steps are as precise and captivating as they were in the movies. She had a very strong presence be it in films or in real.
Saroj Khan said Madhuri would simply imitate the steps as she showed them but Sridevi would add more ideas and suggest other things that would enhance the dance more. Madhuri is very graceful dancer but she had training in classical dances like Kathak so naturally she will definitely have that advantage over Sridevi who did not have any classical training.
