Changing the interior to white was, without question, the right choice. That spectraflame red livens this bad boy up, as well. Love the detail work with the pipes as well.

the paintjob is great, the red spectra makes it pop out so far. :) good wheel choice too, the original wheels always look too big on their castings.
as for red or any other colour "bleeding" through white, here is a tip I caught from a modelers magazine from the days before every model builder magazine in germany switched to military stuff only...
put a basecoat of light or medium grey beneath the white, it will even out every colour below and help making it a true white coat. also helps with unwanted graffitti on your wall... ;)

Guys a gals, it is fun let me tell you. I do enjoy making customs.
quick question from a newbie, but after you add the flitz should I still watch the car or dip it in isopropyl alcohol before painting it, in order to remove the grease/oils from my hands. i'll be using a rattle can if that helps.
Scrub it with a toothbrush and some ZEP degreaser

Actual car, the 1:1, is a Pontiac GTO modified by Dean Jeffries. The actual car was used by the "I Dream of Jeannie" TV show as Larry Hagman's/Major Anthony Nelson's car. Either the series ended or the car ended it's run on the show and it wound up in Jeffries' talented hands. Pontiac/GM wasn't happy the car was so modified as to be unrecognizable by the general public, but it was a major it with custom car enthusiasts, like me (a pre teenage boy now approaching 61!)
