Kuwait beat us 9-1 in 2010. We didn't have any clue how to play middle Eastern nations, always struggling to pass and couldn't defend for life. We were 3mins away from beating the same team that beat UAE, Bahrain this year. Same team scored 7 past Nepal and Pakistan. It's a huge achievement although bittersweet that we drew due to an own goal.

But we still compromise so that we can give our family a better life....... But on the field we really played like warriors...... And gave them tit for tat..... Kuwait came to play a wrestling match. They clearly could not match our speed and passing . They literally pushed Mahesh about 5-6 times . Sahal was kicked once , then later pushed down for no reason. The Bangladeshi sub standard referee saw it all from close quarters and let it happen. Maybe he thought some of the Indian players would get injured. Incredibly proud of Rahim Ali - he gave it back to the Arabs after Sahal was pushed. Stimac should not be blamed at all. Half the spectators were furious at the antics of the Kuwait players - foul after foul . We should either bring in neutral / south american / european referees in these matches or VAR system. Our football has progressed beyond these sub standard , wrestling teams - we should not risk getting our players injured in these useless tournaments - we can easily arrange for friendlies against Jordan or Belarus or Bahrain during these times.

Excellent game from India. V played really well. Our midfield and forwards r really good. Normally v r used to seeing our football not being up to the mark but in recent times seeing big improvement in all age levels of our team . But defense is still not solid and once again this is true across all age levels. Midfield and goalkeeping v seem to be getting good talent finally. The ground game is definitely improving with good footwork. Kuwait is traditionally a much stronger team and to do this well against them is splendid. Well done India

Kuwait came to play a wrestling match. They clearly could not match our speed and passing . They literally pushed Mahesh about 5-6 times . Sahal was kicked once , then later pushed down for no reason. The Bangladeshi sub standard referee saw it all from close quarters and let it happen. Maybe he thought some of the Indian players would get injured.
Incredibly proud of Rahim Ali - he gave it back to the Arabs after Sahal was pushed. Stimac should not be blamed at all. Half the spectators were furious at the antics of the Kuwait players - foul after foul .
We should either bring in neutral / south american / european referees in these matches or VAR system. Our football has progressed beyond these sub standard , wrestling teams - we should not risk getting our players injured in these useless tournaments - we can easily arrange for friendlies against Jordan or Belarus or Bahrain during these times.

I was in the stadium..India was better in attack n in fast passes. Amazing quality in gameplay. We were equally rough in tackles so no it is not that Kuwait was more rough!. Need to play more through the middle instead of wings... They will be far more deadly that way...
Excellent game from India. V played really well. Our midfield and forwards r really good. Normally v r used to seeing our football not being up to the mark but in recent times seeing big improvement in all age levels of our team . But defense is still not solid and once again this is true across all age levels. Midfield and goalkeeping v seem to be getting good talent finally. The ground game is definitely improving with good footwork. Kuwait is traditionally a much stronger team and to do this well against them is splendid. Well done India
