I absolutely love the purple version of that house! Really i love all 3 of the Victorian houses! They're all so beautiful and amazing. I have the dreamhouse from 2007,(basically the same as the one from 2006 just recolored) but due to taking it outside alot as a kid to play with my best friends with their dollhouse, it got quite a bit of sun damage on the purple parts of the roof and I've been wondering how to get it off but was scared to try anything other than zit cream, (which didn’t work as well on most spots) seeing yours come out so nicely has given me the inspiration to try this method! Do you think it would also work for barbie horses? I have marzipan from nutcracker and she's got some yellowing happening to her too and I'd love to be able to restore her to her former glory, but I've been scared of damaging her as getting anything of nutcracker was a childhood dream of mine that i didn’t get to accomplish until just a few years ago.
Omg sameee I love all the versions too! So happy to hear that you have the 2007 Dreamhouse, it’s also super pretty, and you obviously have amazing memories with it! Thanks for sharing! I believe zit cream is best for spots on Barbie, like for markers, dirt, etc. Just be careful cause the peroxide works on the sun damage by by brightening the color, so be careful if the purple is already too lightened up by the sun, it could lighten up even more! As for Marzipan (love this horse, btw, and everything Nutcracker like you said) I believe it could work, especially cause Marzipan is pink, so if the damage is orangy, it works well on that! Theoretically though, cause I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve seen this method work on folding houses, other playsets, even polly pockets, and I think Marzipan is made of the same plastic! Best of luck with your restorations and I’ll be happy to hear updates!
@MarinaThe90sBarbie ok thank you! I really hope it works for marzipan, because nutcracker is my all time favorite barbie movie and I was sooooo beyond excited to actually get the entire set! As for my dollhouse, the purple roof parts are really the only parts that are still discolored, so hopefully this will work and it'll be back to its former glory soon! And yes definitely wonderful memories with it. I always wanted a dollhouse with stairs instead of an elevator, as I wanted to be able to act out that cinderella ballroom staircase moment with all my princess dolls, so that dollhouse was perfect.🥰

Oh man i live in the uk and recently got this house off marketplace for £100. Shes missing half of her balcony wbich kinda sux but honestly i still love her. Its so hard to find this house in the uk. Espefially in good condition. Mine has very minimal sun damage. Its in great condition overall and i think £100 was a good price. There is one on ebay right now for near £300 and its so sun damaged. 😮 crazy pricing. This is the prettiest dreamhouse ever.
This really is the prettiest dreamhouse! So, so glad to hear you found it… Like you said, sometimes the prices for it in the UK and the EU are so high! And maybe at some point you can even find the missing part of the balcony and complete it, I’ve seen a lot of people sell spares, but she’s beautiful in any case! Thank you for watching! 😊
