First of all I want to thank you for taking the trouble to film this. I recently reinstalled the exhaust chamber on my Svartpilen 401. It was a pig of a job, mostly because I couldn't find any videos that showed you the whole process. At 6:37 you skip over a really important part of the process. You have to remove the entire exhaust, and heat shield and loosen the 4 radiator bolts, because that is the only way you get the catalytic filter in or out of the chamber. In the video you don't show that part, so I'm just leaving this comment for anyone in the same position as me. Thanks again man and just for the record I think the bike runs much better with the chamber in, less vibes in the foot pegs too! But each to their own. Some people like loud and tinny.
You are absolutely correct with that process that I missed.
As I have mentioned in my video, this got me very tired & frustrated as it took me over 9+ hours to do. The last thing on my mind was to edit the video in order to cover more video since my phone’s memory storage ran out too.
Anyway, my biggest headache was not knowing the cat pipe was buried about 3 inches deep in the chamber, that’s why I couldn’t pull it out. Until I realized that I need to remove the entire exhaust system carefully without undoing the O2 sensor. This process meant what you said: unscrew the pipe from the engine, take off the guard underneath, and all that.
I like the way mine runs now. There is a need for me to have a louder (legal decibel) pipe because I almost got taken out by a car that couldn’t hear or feel my presence…now my bike sends out nice vibrations too.
Anyway, thanks for watching 🫡

Thank you for showing what the mounting hardware looked like 8:39 . It doesn't come with the bolt, so I used the one that was on the old clamp. The best bang for the buck IMO.

Nice na tunog nya gravehhh malakas pero di nakakairita sa tainga ng tao. Love it!!!
I also used a chamber delete comp. werks part and DNA filter lid which really wakes the little bike up
That is awesome, Jeff!
I learned of Coffman’s shorty exhaust before the Comp Werks. I actually watched the chamber delete video of the guy who installed comp werks chamber delete.
I love your comment:

Thank you for this informative video. I'm really grateful for the insights. However, I've encountered a problem at a certain part. The Competition Werkes chamber delete pipe seems to have a gasket groove at the catalyzer end, but in the AliExpress version, it's just a pipe, making it impossible to place the original gasket. Did you encounter this issue as well? Did you simply skip placing the gasket at the catalyzer end, or did you find another solution?
I didn’t put a gasket.

@@elchinolavida Thanks for the fast reply. Not having a gasket may lead to exhaust gas leaking problems which may reduce the low rev performance. It would be great if there was a gasket groove.
@talhagunes91 I was aware of all those consequences you mentioned.
The catalytic converter is buried about 3-4 inches into the mid link pipe. Then the mid link is buried in the slip on by 2-3 inches. I am not worried about a small leak. As it stands, I got the power & sound that I need.
sounds good without earphones too! looking forward to deleting my exhaust chamber.
Hell yeah, bro, do it!
I had to do mine quick coz other motorists here do not pay too much attention to riders. I almost got ran over twice before this install.

My biggest question was the sequence and location of the aluminum spacers. Your inner shot of connection cleared things up. The OEM bolt for connecting with spacers was the correct length? Thank you
Yes.

@@elchinolavida Have you tried connecting your OEM muffler to this exhaust? Some have claimed fitment is not so good. Thx
The best part is were you said long story short … I am stuck there, I’ve been at it for three hours trying to take it out 😂😂
I was so frustrated bro. Trying to keep a straight face 😂
How did u get it off.. I’m stuck.. did u half to take of whole exhaust
@@maseawee yes u need to uninstall the entire exhaust. Be careful with the O2 sensor once the exhaust is unscrewed.

I quit two times trying to take it off 🤣

Did you happen to put a decibel meter on this before and after? Wondering what the after decibels are. Thanks for the video. Good content.
Hey, how did you manage to remove the chamber? Mine is stuck really hard even though all bolts are removed, and the part with stainless steel rod doesn't move a cm at all. Did you loosen the header as well?
Loosen the entire exhaust, that exhaust pipe is about 3 inches deep in that chamber. That’s what took me a while to figure out…to the point of going nuts!
Hey bro! Thanks again for the content! Just another question regarding this mod. Did you notice a loss in power after installing the Chamber delete and Coffman exhaust?
No I didn’t. I actually felt more power coz my bike 🏍️ was able to “breathe out” easier

Was looking for the part where you "remove" the strange bottom tube, im stuck there and there is not a single video that shows how to remove that part, it seems that there is another screw on the other side but its really hard to get there.. anyway.. was looking just for that part..
Greetings man, my compliments for the video and the explanation. However i have a question, did you remove the cat put in the final part of the exhaust (just before the big black bulky chamber)? Because i did your same procedure, but i could not remove it. It seems that it is very stuck in the exhaust. Do you have any suggestion how to unravel it?
You must remove the entire exhaust (from the engine to the slip on) in order to pull out the big black bulky chamber. There’s about 2 inches of pipe buried in that so it’s impossible to be able to pull it out without loosening up every part of the exhaust system. Pause video at 6:38 and you will see.
Just ask if me there’s still problems.

@@elchinolavida yeah i saw it. I mean, i was able to remove the chamber, but i could not remove the pipe with the catalyst, in fact i just put the chamber delete and leaved it with the two catalysts (yes, there are two of them, one at the top of the exhaust and the other at the end of it just before the chamber). Any suggestion how to remove it? Better cutting the tube and then resealing it or directly buy a new without the catalysts?
@@Danderethevideogamer bro, my bike year is 2021. I know that the pipe route was factory modified for my year model. What year is yours?
@@elchinolavida 2021 too
@@elchinolavida 2021 but i solved the problem ordering a full decat pipe. That because my mechanical told me that, even if he would be able to cut the pipe and remove the catalysts, it would be better to install a stock pipe without catalysts. I found it on Frugo for 50 euros, seems fair
Thanks for the video! Did you have to delete the catalytic converter as well or did the mid pipe fit over the top of that?
I only removed the chamber. The pipe that I replaced with the chamber fitted the mid pipe.
@@elchinolavida awesome, Thanks for the quick reply. Ordering one now :) Bike is looking great bro!

Hey bro! Great work. You really nailed the exhaust tone.
Just wanted to ask if you are still happy with the sound or if you find it too loud for everyday use? Considering doing the exact same with my Svart 2022 but worried it makes it too loud.
Thanks!
Actually, the sound is not annoying to me or my neighbors. I can still hear the motorists around me and the music/comms from my packtalk edge inside the helmet.
I also took out the db killer of the coffman’s, I can put that back when it gets too loud for me. I measured the decibel of stock vs now and frankly I’m still within legal, only this time it “throatier” in sound.
Thanks for watching.

@@elchinolavida Did you get a chance to measure the sound? What's the maximum legal capacity where you live?
@@klanga 115 decibel here. After change up, I’m still within the limit. It’s in one of the videos where I showed the measuring.

@@elchinolavida Gracias!
@@elchinolavida 115 is creazy high. In my area there is 96db limit, for mid rpms, measured 50cm from the pipe. So i wonder, give that I keep db killer and original exhaust, will i ever be within specs if I remove the chamber? sound unlikely. Have you tested such configuration?
Sir, pls share direct link where you got the midlink pipe. Thanks
Can you please share direct link in Lazada where you bought this item?
Did you notice any power loss after removing the chamber? I did the same with my 200 and added a unbaffled slip-on can, It sounds great but It felt like some reduction in power especially on the mid to low end
Thanks!
In contrary, It felt lighter and faster.
@@elchinolavida Thanks man! yes, definitely lighter. That black box weighs a lot and it provided more clearance
@@danpatrickdaduya8955 I believe I showed the weights of both. The replacement cat delete weighed less than 500grams and the black box around 3 kilos. Also, the heat build up under me is lesser coz the engine is getting more air 360 degrees.

How is it holding up ? Still enjoying it ?
I’m wondering if I should do this mod but with the original tail muffler. Do you have any thoughts?
Other than that, very informative video! Thank you !
I am still enjoying it. Getting lots of compliments too. The sound isn’t annoying but definitely making my presence on the road heard.
I think that keeping the old tail muffler will still make it sound good. It’s the chamber that’s suppressing lots of the sound.
Thanks bro.

Did you loosen/pull back the exhaust header when it was time to drop the chamber? Does this delete pipe re-use the large inner gasket or does it just clamp over the header pipe? Also, were/are their written instructions for when it comes to attaching the spacers? Yours does look good, but I've seen it many ways. Very helpful BTW.
I removed the entire exhaust to pull out the chamber.
Just the clamp.
No instructions came with.

How did you manage to pull out the chamber without removing the the entire exhaust/elbow?
Actually I figured it out very late that it won’t come off without loosening the exhaust from the front. Just be careful with the O2 sensor cable and connection.
Thanks.
Hello again sir! Just want to ask where did you buy coffman exhaust?
From USA.
Hi, Where you bought gasket? pls link. Thank you
Hi, what gasket are you referring to?
I'm so confused. In all other videos of this bike, the exhaust comes into the chamber from the top????
2021 model is underneath.
Hey man do we really need a fuel management system after installing the pipe
Never did it
The resonator seems stuck and hard to pull out where the 13mm bold was pulled out of. Any tips?
I know the feeling, bro, that sucker gave me a great work out.
These are what I did:
1. Wiggled it.
2. I hammered it lightly with a mallet.
3. Pulled it with a ratchet strap.
4. Disconnected the entire exhaust system from the motor.
These that I did are not in any order.
Goodluck bro.

@@elchinolavida Hope this helps someone.
I loosened the header bots and pulled it out of the chamber a bit and it dropped like a coconut after shaking it while pulling it towards the back.
Apparently a lengthy portion of the pipe is inside the chamber.
@@Drt0Kkdo very lengthy to my surprise too. That’s why I took off the entire exhaust.
Hey Man
I'm doing this exact modification on my Husqvarna. How did you mount the actual chamber delete pipe? I can see you used a bolt, but did that come with the pipe?
It came with it, bro. Goodluck!
Good job bro! Does it not void the warranty? Your bike looks pretty new.
My bike was 3 months new when I did this, I’m not sure if voided any warranty. I did not modified any parts of my bike. Besides, that’s my least worry; my main goal is to be heard on the roads, so that no one hits me. There have been many occasions here when other vehicles almost hit me because my bike is so stock-quiet.

I purchase what looks like the same chamber delete part. The OEM muffler is at least half an inch from letting me get the hanger bolt through. For anyone else trying to use the stock can, fit-up may be a problem.
@@jimoconnor7491 i replaced my bolt
I want to get one but it’s from eBay is it worth the $100aud?
Mine came from China. It’s around that price too. I looked at the weld job done to the piece for starters. Then I made my decision.
@@elchinolavida does it for to the 21-22 model and is it good?
@@Laine8642 my Svartpilen 401 is 2021. Yes it’s good to me. It’s not rusting, it fits well, it didn’t blow up, etc
Do you have a aftermarket ECU on your bike?
No, bro.
This is great! It sounds so much better. I was gonna get the Competition Werkes exhaust + chamber delete, but Coffman + chamber delete seems to sound much better, looks lighter and cheaper!
Is the sound of the intro footage the actual one after cat delete?
The intro and outro vidz are the actual sounds.
I also looked into the Competition Werks’ products. Matter of fact, I watched their vid to learn the uninstall and install. Price-wise, I paid $299 for the Coffman’s and my friend brought it to me when he returned here. The chamber cat delete is ₱3,000 or $60 from China.

Great vids man! Am planning to cat-delete my svart too. Do i need to remap the ecu after? Are there any noticeable improvement on performance?
Thanks, Nico.
I do not know much about remapping ECU when I only removed the chamber and not the entire exhaust system. I guess I will know when I go for my maintenance.
Noticeable improvement, I can feel that my bike can breath without feeling suppression from the stock exhaust pieces that I replaced (chamber, mid pipe and muffler). It feels much lighter with all the stainless steel parts versus the heavy metal parts, therefore it's better for the torque and gas consumption. Did I go any faster? I am not into fast riding and I like chill ride instead.
Goodluck on your upgrades.

I have a completely stock exhaust in the US. Is the chamber emission-related, or just sound suppression? I don’t want my bike too loud, but louder would be nice. That chamber is HUGE! If it would give me a little louder exhaust, & some better performance, that would be worth it. Maybe I’ll do the pipe some day, but curious how the sound would change with the chamber delete & stock exhaust.
@@j0shll0yd the chamber is not emission related. It doesn’t remove any of the emission related components i.e. catalytic converter. Just weight savings and noise bump maybe a little power pick up. Hope this helps!
