Jack McCall, Desperado 1953. A lone gunslinger, Jack McCall (George Montgomery), bursts into a saloon and shoots dead the legendary Wild Bill Hickok (Douglas Kennedy). Arrested and put on trial, McCall recounts a twisted tale that paints Hickok as anything but heroic, explaining how Hickok and McCall's cousin Bat (James Seay) took over McCall's family's plantation, killed his parents and even framed him for crimes he didn't commit. McCall's cold-blooded killing of Hickok was warranted. Or was it?
He did drop an ace of spades, but yes, I was thinking of commenting the same. And Hickock was supposed to be one of the fastest guns ever, and didn't miss, ever. In this, on that draw at the beginning of the movie, I could have beaten the actor who played him, and I have never practiced much with a revolver, drawing or shooting. That was pitiful and the writers, producers didn't portray Hickock in the traditional light.
Hickok did not die in a duel. He was shot from behind. Even I know this story goes against history, and I am not even American. Hickok was a marshal earlier in his life, but he was not a marshal in Dead Wood.
He says it's a copyright issue. So having a picture of Alan Ladd in Shane to trick people is ok is it? You done the same with a few videos, one with a still from The Magnificent Seven on another one and it was a completely different film. Can you answer why you do that? Do you think were all stupid?
@@robbiehillis9330 Sorry, I answered a question only. I'm not too fond of confusion either, but this way, it's much harder to trace the film and take it down. If you enjoy Westerns, you can watch them for free, but if you don't, avoid these opportunities. You don't have to watch them. It's that simple. Please don't spoil it for everybody else!
What a brilliant story and movie thank you

An entertaining film. It's all there, well, nothing critical cut.

Wasn't cold according to this? Always thought Buffalo Bill was a goodie?
Yes ,what do you think 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐
Much action, Bad guys were taken out and the good guy gets the pretty girl. Clean, Clean, Clean and no steamy bedroom scenes. Great entertainment!
If it has a better budget and better director this movie would be better . The plot was great .
Great Western movie thanks 👍🇯🇲
A good western film.
"Jack McCall, Desperado". 1953
Oʻne. Of the best Western movies I will give this video a 12 star.
Good.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This movie plays loose with the facts. Hickok was shot from behind holding the dead man's hand, aces and eights. Good movie though.
Agree. It surprises me that most Americans don't know their own history.

Dont get your history from Hollywood.
Why does the cover of your video show Alan Ladd. He is not starring in this movie ???
No titles. Why?
It's a copyright issue!
