Just awesome. I have a problem I'm trying to diagnose myself but my knowledge was a bit sketchy to say the least. Your video is the clearest explanation I have found and I can't thank you enough for this. You are a superb teacher - even I could follow you! 🙂

thank you for taking the time to do this video, I will go and try all those steps now, my zx12r battery died on me today while I was riding my bike. so defo no charging.
    >> yup my regulator has gone, the 3 stator connectors from the regulator side giving me 477, 471, 001 and when reversed OL, OL, 001
    cheers bud

Hi for a 1st gen sv650s would the rectifier or stator prevent the bike from starting with a fully charged battery?
And what’s the difference between RR and CDI and a signal generator?

hi, i have a 1999 r6 ,when i put my positive probe on the negative pin on the rectifier i get a reading of .640 in 2 of the yellow wires and .550 in the 3rd wire and i get the same readings with the negative probe on the positive pin ,my stator readings are perfect ,my wire connections all seem fine , my battery charges to 13.50v when idling and 13.90v at 4000rpm , my battery drops to 11.90v once i turn my lights on and on another note my hi beams dont work which is aniother issue im trying to figure out ,would there be a bad relay or a short causing the battery to not charge when the lights are on thanks for any help

hello i need help all my reading on the regulator are ok but when turn on the bike and measure voltage on battery i still have 18 - 19 volts charging the battery also my alternator is ok im getting crazy ....

Regulator doesn't sound OK if it's charging at 18 or 19 volts. It's going to overcharge battery and possibly ruin it as excess charge turns to heat energy

@@TheMotorcycleMuse ok thanks i check my stator resistance and its gives me 1.3 oms on 3 phases, is bad right?? it should give me 0.2 to 0.55 i have a suzuky sv650 2001 i think the entire ignition sistem on my bike bad
