I would agree on selling that, small non-handheld bandsaws are pretty worthless. Bandsaws shine when you get to the size you can do some resaw work on wood like a Laguna 14/12 Bandsaw, you can resaw boards up to 12 inches wide. The classic Delta 14 bandsaw or one of the many clones is the smallest bandsaw I would ever recommend, even though it only does 6" resaw you can usually get a riser kit to bump that to 12 down the road, or unless you get lucky and they already have it if you buy it used.

I love my bandsaw but I think you're right. It's a great idea to get rid of any tool that isn't assiting with your wood working and just taking up space. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely, I think bandsaws are one of those tools you either use all the time or barely ever. I definitely fall into that last category.

Paul Sellers said the bandsaw is the only machine he would keep if he could only have one machine.

I couldn’t be more different to Paul Sellars if I tried lol. Matt Estlea has a similar view that the bandsaw is the main machine he would have as well. But they are master craftsmen and I’m a hobbyist and DIY guy. I think a bandsaw would definitely have its place but not the tiny cheap one I had, that’s for sure.
