    Thank you for sharing. Love how it saves so much space and how ergonomic it is. Also, looks better than the LG one.

    Thank you for the very thorough review. I just bought this washer/dryer and really hope it's as good as other Samsung products I've owned.

    I just got this machine and am currently washing my second load of clothes. I was not prepared for the long run times AT ALL. I haven't even overstuffed the machine. Four and half hours to do a load of laundry is nuts, that's more than double what it was when I had separate W/D. I haven't tried the super speed setting yet, only the normal and AI ones. I'm debating sending it back just because of this problem.

      My LG takes over 2 hour to wash and about 2 hours to dry

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ya these machines seem to be for people who plan bigger loads so you can get more done in one load and are trying to save or only have so much space to work with. what i did notice though is if you let the AI and washing machine do its thing a few more times. The machine does get better at using less electricity(alreayd uses very little) and it gets a little faster I would say the first 4-5 times it shaved a few minutes off each time besides the first time taking a full 5 hours for towels (nuts) for clothes it started around 4 hours now its down to like 3 and a half sometimes faster. Wash cycles are super fast if you tell it you have delicate fabrics like athletic which can cut cycle times to 2-3 hours. Things i learned so far if you put something that takes a while to dry with stuff that might not take as long will cause the load overall to take longer. If you keep similar fabrics together it will wash and dry faster. the fast spin cycles are a little crazy fast.

      im concernedaboutthedryer part. several warnings about 90-95% dry. I want to get one but don't want to lose $ if it doesn't dry 100% n then need to buy traditional gas set.

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is true! I had a 240 volt full electric which I am comparing it too. A 2017 model from lg so not super old. It dried faster for sure comparing dryness though I don’t think there is much of a difference. To be fair most of my laundry loads are sports clothes, cotton mix clothes, towels, and wool which for a lot of those I am not using high heat to begin with. I am currently working on the 8th load (trying to do 10-20 before I do a full review). And trying to wait for the big load of jeans and heavier clothes to see how it does with that kind of stuff. So far only one thing came out pretty damp and that was a bath rug we washed with our towels.

    Nice informative video, only question I have is about the longer cycles and higher price tag?

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello there yes the longer cycles are because the heat pump does not get as hot as the standard 240v electrical dryer. And the towels etc needed extra time. They sacrifice the speed for savings on electricity and not needing to vent out air so the house does not have air sucked out of it. When I ran a regular load of laundry it took about 2 hours all in which is more in line with regular laundry times.

    • @williamsung

      Yes right the spin cycle is kinda loud but not the most terrible it being heavy also makes it impossible to move other than that it’s been pretty great

    • @williamsung

      I did try to do a timed dry to add an additional 5 minutes to one set and yes the heat pumps get pretty warm if you have a utility room for your laundry room it will be quite warm after it’s been on for a few hours

    Can it keep up with your family? My wife (family of 5) has concerns it can't keep with our family of 5's laundry needs. How often do you have to use the superspeed? Can you put in a small amount of items and get them out if you need say one outfit?

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If you are doing loads constantly it may be hard to keep up if your savings for a very large load 1-2 a week. I think it will be absolutely fine. start it during the day come back to finished laundry at night for 1-2 days. Larger loads will take anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on cloth style ive noticed.

    Did they offer a pedestal??wonder if this unit has a larger heat pump than the ge profile,given the larger drum size

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  หลายเดือนก่อน

      From what I read from the manual a pedestal is not recommended due to weight and the effects rattling has on the machine.

      I also spoke with Samsung a few times to verify the lack of Samsung Care not being available on the product listing page. I figured it's because it was a new listing and surely had to be a website error as nearly every other major appliance has the option for adding Samgsung Care. It turns out, you may be able to add Samsung Care after you receive the product, but you need the model and serial number to enroll and add a plan. I ordered one and I'm waiting to see for myself, but maybe you could attempt to add a plan on the Samsung Care site and get back to us? @williamsung

      @@williamsung also, that plastic screen in the back when you remove your filter, tends to collect lint. It serves no useful function, other than to stop objects from rolling back into the drum. So you could run the unit without that and it will let more length go into the filter without having you to clean it. you can give that a try. Otherwise it’s just a lint catcher.

    • @williamsung

    Love the technology but it's not 'proven' yet. GE has the best warranty for the heat pump at 5 years plus they have their own dedicated service department, LG is starting up their service department, Samsung don't have a service department yet. The Samsung exploding top load washers and the LG refrigerators with the constantly breaking linear compressors are still fresh in my mind, I'm not willing to be a Guinea pig just yet, maybe a GE unit because of their warranty and service but you're really rolling the dice with the others.

  • @HomeGuySolutions
    @HomeGuySolutions หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Can you post a video of an actual cycle running and after a few loads what the Filter looks like? Are they recommending cleaning the filter after every load or every 5 loads like the GE? I had to design a fix for the GE unit.

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The instruction manual that came with the machine seems to not be for the specific machine but i clean the filter everytime only takes about a minute. I looked at your genius trap for the GE to get the lint and that is super smart. I havent noticed the same issue with the samsung where lint may bypass and get into the compressor but i have been vigilant about cleaning.
