    Amazing… more accurate to the film than the first version put out by Nanmu. The outdid themselves and I think this might be as good as Prime1 at a fraction of the price.

      I'll take your word for it! I know almost nothing about JP style dinosaurs and what's been offered 😝 But this one by Nanmu was too good to pass up given my last few models from them.

      @@DinosDragons you prefer this model over the new soul of the Dragon Spinosaurus from nanmu?

    Nice figure, I think the sculpt is better than the older Nanmu, and the paint just slightly better.
    I can't wait to see the albino version.

      I'll take your word for it! Since I obviously know next to nothing about JP figures 😁 I believe people would have received the albino by now and wouldn't be surprised if reviews are already out!

    Great review as always
    i love nanmu figures. JP Creatures are really nice looking. I also realized how some of the newer nanmu figures don't have articulated jaw anymore. It's fine either way

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After a while, unless especially bad, I have learnt to somehow ignore the seam lines for articulated jaws. But when you have a model like this that really has nice, clean, unbroken lines, you appreciate just how much a model really is elevated in realism without an articulated jaw.

    I only own three of these 1/35 scale dinosaurs. My first was the W Dragon original Spinosaurus. Which to this day I still love. I did purchase the Nanmu Bull T-rex but I felt it was a step down from their female (my third one). In the end my original W dragon Spino is good for me. Great review. thank you for sharing.

      Wow you obviously know a lot more than I do about the JP ones! 😁 I'm glad for you though. Nothing more frustrating than to spend money on an expensive model, and then another one comes along that completely blows it out of the water. Ultimately, you just need one good one, really!

      Much better in hand! By the way the peg actually attaches to the base, not the dinosaur, but tends to pull out when you separate them. Forgot to mention in the video.

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  ปีที่แล้ว

      If anyone does a good one, it would be Nanmu. They are of course not going to be very accurate, but they will reflect the movies and give you those precious awesome memories back! 😁

  • @konsaikou5599
    @konsaikou5599 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The metal peg should be on the base rather than the foot. My Nanmu Allosaurus had the same problem, the peg stuck on the foot. Maybe you could try to remove the peg from the foot and glue it on the base.

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! At one point, I _did_ think that when the model came, I inserted the dinosaur onto the peg and not the other way round. But I thought I was mistaken. Thanks I'll do just that! I feel it would be a lot more versatile of the foot of the dinosaur was flat so that I can use it with or without base just like the T Rex!

  • @The_PokeSaurus
    @The_PokeSaurus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is that metal peg in the foot removable?
    Also, I feel like it would have been cool if they named this one Regicide.

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah about that. Yes actually the peg starts off in the base. But when you insert the Spino it, it inevitably gets pulled out. I would have mentioned it, but I forgot that's where it originally was, and in the end thought it actually came with the dinosaur.
      If it happens, use a pair of pliers. You might need to heat the foot a little with the hair dryer.
      Haha Regicide indeed... good one! 🙂

      @@gyleschannel6060 Good day. There is absolutely no way I will ever buy from aftermarket or middlemen with their ridiculous inflated prices. Once it's sold out from my usual sources in China, that's all for me unless they somehow stock it in. If so they often contact me to ask if I want it, and then I will. But not from EBay and other of those other scalpers.

    You do like JP monsters then! now you have t-rex, indominus rex, 3 brachiosaurs (incld. w-dragon one) and this spinosaurus at least! why not mosasaurus next??

    • @omarluna7068
      @omarluna7068 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The mosasaurus would be cool, I would have recommended the w dragon mosa but nanmu already announced they will release a new version, so I guess it’s best to wait and see how it turns out

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha no no my limits go only so far! 🤣 That Mosaurus can't be a Mosasaurus by any stretch of the imagination while the rest I can close one eye, have three drinks, and be very happy! And for another movie monster, I have been looking and thinking of a good Ghidorah or Godzilla! 😁😁 By the way, if you are a fan, there's a new Mosasurus is coming so I would be interested to see how that looks like. Thanks for the suggestion though! 🙏

    i don't know, maybe it is just me but i feel like their oroginal spinosaurus looks better than the new one. Although a bit less acurrate and less contrast in colour, it has much better detail and nicer position (unlike another generic roaring stand). Only problem is...the older one is smaller and not really in scale to rex :/

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah.... thanks for that knowledge 😁. Unfortunately, I really know nothing about JP models in general. Just never got into them, until recently when I decided that I would like to have a few of the iconic ones I remember from childhood, plus of course the two monsters from the JW series.

    No, the Jurassic Park Spinosaurus is at least 50 feet tall, not 45 feet.

    • @DinosDragons
      @DinosDragons  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that. I see different estimates on different sites. Do you know if there is a site that has definitive size estimates for the JP/ JW dinosaurs? For my reference in case I do any more JPesque dinos in the future.

      @Dino-Rhino ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DinosDragons The translator played a trick on me; he wanted to say that the Spinosaurus in the film measures about 15 meters... It's that he translated it to me in feet and above that by putting the height, when I was referring to length.

    • @Dino-Rhino
      @Dino-Rhino ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DinosDragons I don't know of any site, I suppose there will be, but who else could say that is Steven Spielberg. Anyway, if you look at the comparison to humans in the movie, it's huge, and not just 15 meters long (real Spiniosaurus is estimated to be 17 meters long), but at least 5 meters tall at the withers.
      And this happens with Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus in the last one, they are too big compared to reality.
      Sorry for the English, I'm using a translator.
