The chorus sounds like a crossover between A-ha and Savoy. The melody of the part "her voice's coming through" is just hauntingly beautiful. So nice to be able to hear Pal's characteristics in music!
Again, well done Zoe!!! Your voice suits this song beautifully as it is on constant repeat over here. Such a rich and yet not too "over instrumentalized" quality to the sound. As always, Paul's songwriting is not to be compared. Can't say the same things about the video though, it at times captures the mood a bit but just isn't thrilling or adding much, a missed opportunity imo. The song itself makes me looking forward to the album even more.
This line captures the mood of the music. "earth, where is the new?" I understand Waaktaar and other musicians are bored. But I don't enjoy listening to music inspired from that boredom.
EXQUISITE!! as expected~! and this song is almost 20 years ahead of our time I guess. I was a bit surprised to see the white faced girl in Korean traditional costume at the first scene and really wonder what it has to do with the song and if anything Korean has affected Pal for the song.BTW I see that's quite unique and different from the original Korean Costume;Hanbok so I guess it's a modernized look maybe. The hat is much like Jobawi(Korean hat for women) and the dress is also like the inner wear for Hanbok...But..the white face make-up reminds me of Geisha which is Japanese.
Zoe has a nice voice but she can't communicate any emotions or feelings. How could Pål give her the songs of this album? I enjoy the melody, the lyrics, though no life in Zoe's voice. What a pity!
the sound of a-ha. Pal is really the soul of a-ha.
Me too!!
Es bueno saber que hay talento en estos tiempos
Fantastisc Päl

Another wonderful song from Pal Waaktaar, what a genius! Tons and tons of great song throughout the decades
Great song, and Pal you are a genius!!!
Mesmerizing song ❤
It really sounds like lifelines or minor earth major sky era, sinth sounds with a "organic footprint"
More Lifelines-like sounding to me. Amazing how I thought the same when the song came out.
Nice association, Paul is always inspired with his music creation, I love the song...

#waaktaarzoe
Sounds like a A-Ha track but with a female voice.
traecy43 yeah I know right
Great song, but the video...well... and I don't think it sounds like aha, more like Savoy
Canta direitinho mas acho meio sem emoção.
Tenho impressão que o Paul participa da a ha por interesse uma pena !
