It’s designed to be less punishing given you have less precision, but it’s clearly too forgiving and shouldn’t be a thing in competitive racing.

I think there’s something fishy going on, Jarno alluded to it a couple times during the video, it might be something to do with fps tyre wear and curbs or maybe it’s just a problem with the game some players are experiencing
For all the 999 shitty things F1 22 did in terms of features, they really did improve the vehicle dynamics compared to the previous "ice-kerbs" year. After watching your videos from release day and finally driving it myself when it came on sale, the initial impression is that the mechanical grip makes much more sense: it's not as much like previous years where even F1 drivers complain that "medium traction control feels more like driving the real car than no assist". You get this very abrupt loss of traction once you overcook the throttle too far, but even around 4th gear there's less potential for wheel spin than previous games, and the grip doesn't magically become ice when you go on a flat kerb like '21 (although of course with ground effect it's understandable that it should affect a lot when you ride an elevated kerb). The car's behaviour itself makes it more engaging to play on elite settings, and if they can fix those stupid bugs I really don't mind if 110AI is unbeatable by anyone other than eSports athletes-- I was getting to 100AI F1 2020, then had to dial down to 95 for 2021, and it seems I'm going to be further down to 85-90 now.
