Your race pace has been top tier this season, but quali has become so crucial in esports that you always need a perfect lap every single time to get a top 5. Surely next year the 🐐 will be back
Jarno you should do track guides with braking points and setups
@zenoxrxboxqz as far as I know, esport drivers are not allowed to share their setups, at least until the esports season is over. That’s why he covers the differential setting on the mfd

@@SimoneMarra73 It’s not that they aren’t allowed to, it’s that they don’t *want* to. It gives other esports drivers a chance to peek at and maybe copy your setup to gain an advantage. The blurring on the MFD is was done by the producers at F1 esports bc a driver complained that production leaked their differential or brake bias settings on stream iirc

I think he’s said before he used to be a junior racer but didn’t have the huge funds needed to pursue a career in it so he saw sim racing as an opportunity to keep racing for a living

I would love for F1 esports to have a system where there are unequal cars, but each person gets a different level of car performance. So Mercedes isn’t dominant every race, one race Jarno will have a much worse car than the next race, and it’s average for each person across all races.

Always found it weird that the official F1 esports series only does like 25% races while other leagues will at least do 50%. To me if you're going the be the official series you should do at least 75% of the irl run time but that's just me.
I always wonder if esports teams have contacts with game devs to help develop a game that better suits their needs. Or at the very least lobby to diminish the skill gap.
I feel like qualifying in Austria is harder because the track is short and therefore less apologetic

Well, if Jarno Opmeer is having issues with the handling, doesn't make me feel so bad about it being January and the handling model and setups still giving me problems. The car seems to have both understeer and oversteer at the same time, if that's even possible.
looks like you got some damage to the nose cone (check pitstop cam). not sure if that affected performance at all?

doing more laps on mediums vs hards is bizarre to me.
Less fuel near the end - less wear on tyres comparatively. Just a guess but probably heaps of other factors

Random comment, but does anyone have a stable setup for spa that can work for quali and race? Honestly struggling for speed as with low wings the rest of my setup doesn’t work with the technical part of the track and I spin everywhere, would be appreciated.

Call me crazy but to me esports is better than f1 in real life . Everybody is equal here . All comes to preparation and skill where in real life its all about a car lets be honest .
