- This old beauty was an absolute train wreck but for 150 dollars how could anybody say no. her skis rusted through the seat falling off and the head light broken out should have made me turn away but fortunately for you and unfortunately for me I'm now stuck with this turd X'D
Big shout out to Kevin at junkyard digs for letting me work at his shop

"Ultrasonic Peener" 😂😂
Great job editing this sir! Another great vid!
Sleeping through winter, But the Mullet is still pristine.
"That one's just for fun" 🤣🤣🤣
Been with JYD for quite a while and let me tell you. Your Chanel will be right there with his if you keep it up. Love your content man!
Mook & Angus sighting!! This ep has it all!
That part at the end where even Kevin thinks he's crazy "That's the road out there"
This man deserves your subscription - just for the 80s-vibe alone
somethin else to try out fer the plastic winder is deepwoods off with 40% deet, spray on a paper towel an wipe on, then when its good an dry take a can of clearcoat to seal er up again
That's a great idea!, how many machines have you tried it on?
@anicekid Lil more then 50 pairs of headlights, couple of motorcycles, and a Cushman trackser
@@Brimstone667 I think I'll try that tonight then. Have a great day, and thanks for saving me like a hundred bucks
@anicekid I works so good and it's so easy to do it to
Dude. Great editing! came for the Mullet and wasn't disappointed
These 80's Yamaha snowmobiles are absolute tanks. The engines are really well built.
I've owned a few ET-340's. Pretty good snowmobiles, and they were always easy to start, even if they stood for a long time.
Hey! Just watched JYD's video. Sorry to hear you didnt get that job and sacrificed that beautiful mullet. Dont give up my guy! Keep trying.
loved the intro, that's me every year waiting for it to snow
Here to help the mullet algorithm. Keep up the awesome work!
+1!
Hey John, your comments are turned off for the video with your grandfather. He is a treasure and a wealth of information. I learned a lot. Hope things worked out with your Crim J aspirations. You seem like such a great kid!
Iam a simple man I see vintage sleds I click...The old exell 340 I've had several of em there awesome and reliable as hell pretty decently fast too I miss my one I painted camouflage
if you painted it camouflage how did you find it.... hahaha sorry dumb dad joke for the day XD
@@goldenrustorbust lmao but ya it was army green camo so it stood out pretty good in the snow lol but those 340 yammys are pretty much bullet proof
Glad to see my buddy Kev likes thoes carburetor priming bottles I sent him . Cool
Heated handgrips... friggin' premium man!
Oh man I use to have a 1980 Yamaha Excel V.
Boy I miss that everyday.
You guys are the best at almost making snow mobiles work. I like it!
i loved watching that dolly go flying backwards
A rare machine. the list of added items are a clue. The canopy is not traditional fiberglass. It is epoxy glass. I know we use fiberglass epoxy, but its not the same.
The rest of the ride is pure classic.
Great work, helping others.
This is like watching Vice Grip Garage, the college years 🤣🤣 love it.
I live in bama and never even seen a snow mobile in person so this is of no use to me but I love that damn mullet and mustache! I enjoy your vids bro, keep up the good content!
@@HighlandLaddie you might be on to something ha!
My buddy has a 340 Excel that we tore the track in half on last winter, and the hunt just began for a new track and carb
came here from junkyard digs looks good have subscribed and liked.
I like this guy. Reminds me of gallager.
Bro this channel is awesome!!!!!!
Just the opener got me in. And ironically, I just finished the drive out of the Bronco with ya.
Subbed.
Good luck bud.
Comments are turned off on the newest video, but hey I told you we'd be there to support you! Welcome back
Hey John glad to see you back, I just watched your video with your grandpa and I wanted to let you know the comments are turned Off. I hope you get the Michigan or John Deere running either one would be cool, your grandpa is AWESOME You are so lucky.
hey thank you sorry you tube is giving me technical difficulties
@@goldenrustorbust your welcome I figured you might want to know. Good to see you back been a fan since you and Digs did Bronco Revival.
Well done on creating a new lively fun and interesting channel in the TH-cam jungle of automotive/repair videos. Your enthusiasm really comes across
Excel III was the high trim level on the Enticer, those are a really great machine. It's a 340.
Couple things with that carb; the main jet is screwed into the float bowl (like a lawn mower). You can see it in the video when you pull the bowl off. So unless you took that jet out and cleaned it, it won't run without choke. Also, if you didn't put those two plugs back in, or they're cracked, it won't run without choke.
That thing makes me think of an 80s Goldwing for some reason.
I love the old Yamaha machines I have a 80 340 Enticer Deluxe and that thing hauls ass and is so reliable I also have a 78 SRX 440 and a exciter 440 and they are my favorite machines they are light, reliable and fast
Nice to see you again
You definitely have the potential and support to have your channel grow, gotta stay consistent. I also recommend finding a atv to do.
Awesome video John! Love the energy 💙
Hahahaha dude you look like Gallagher 😂 😂 love it rock that stuff bro
3:33 - Boy, John, you sure do look good with that TENG TOOL in your hand!
Junkyard Kevin sent me. Love the channel 💪
She's a ripper keep at it can tell new channel talking it will get easier the more content you put out keep on keepin on
Come up and ride in the Levi Tri 5 on April 10th! last chance at snow!
That one thumbs down is from your Dad? lol
With my old 85 Rupp snowmobile I had to dump gas down the cylinders every winter to get the gas to suck up the line and then it would be good all winter haha that old Rupp 250 was a runner for its age haha I had when I was a teen in the 90s haha they were just coming out with the mxz800's haha
Honestly the handwriting is impressive
Disappointed we havent been seeing more videos from this guy he has lots of potential to get huge
Yamaha's rock I love them they never die I have had them seized right tight put a socket on the bolt on the clutch with a pipe and bar it over until it moves again toss fuel in it with a little 2 stroke oil mixed since they are oil injected and go out and full throttle for a few miles and it ran like a scared cat I was walking away from my friends bigger polaris and a old 440 TNT ski doo. they could not even keep up those things just love to go fast and hard trust me I have many of them and had many more that I have traded and sold but Yamahas are my favorite
Fun channel ,but don't be nervous your doing great , you have the shakes ,i developed that in my 40's...lol
At least try fixing up for next season of Winter months and be ready then also excellent video!
Hey man hope you haven't given up on this channel or anything, you're probably just busy, but anyway, I and many others will be here waiting for you when you come back. Good luck!
Nice, vintage sled. That's an Excel III. I have your sled's bigger brother... An 1986 XL-V.
Junkyard digs brought me here. You’re a funny dude, so I had to
Damn man you are an incredible presenter. I came here from the JYD Cat vid because you were good in that, too. It'd be great to see more small engine work on your channel. Start up a Patreon so we can throw you a couple bucks to buy more hopeless junk to mess with.
Nice Vid! Cant wait to see more! One college kid to another, good luck with Finals!
I had one like that ... 1986 excell III 340 fan (fancy enticer 340)
My mate John ! You know he is the (snowmobile) man ...😉its snow excuus but keep the intro, its legendary !
Greetings from a hardcore fan from Holland
Wildcat! Lemans! I Digs it!!!
That's pretty impressive that Yamaha still make some parts for those old things.
you can tell that he is not confortable in front of a camera yet.but hes geting there.keep it up!
Nice of grizzly Adams to let you use his shop lmao
😂😂
That vintage Polaris that you showed in your channel summery vid was siiiiick!!!
Dog was a nice touch.
If you wear yellow tinted shades the view thru that shield will become clear😉
It's an Excel 3! Badge on the side of the hood. Those 3 little stripes are supposed to be like a number. 🙂
Golden rust and the sled is gold! You had to buy it. Now buy some parts and really fix it
Need to fix the choke. Denis kirk sells the part. Mikuni choke conversion kit
You gave it a shot, maybe it will make a good parts machine.
Whatever it is looks like you need to figure out how to get that garage door open faster.. haha🤦 love it dude ur AWESOME!
Hmm. Cut back on the olfract-ometer to check gas, not sure if it's Kevin's camera or welding without a mask but i thought i saw a little shaking of your hands. A guy tends to worry about the young fellers. But your treat shagging skills are re-assuring
Love the intro man!
Glad to see a new video
Great intro
And ending ! LOL
Hero. What an intro.
Man 150 bucks you paid for that I would of paid more then that for that machine I love the old Yamaha's they are the best in my opinion
I have one of those was in mint shape than i hit a tree with it. it still runs in great shape starts 2nd pull
That majestic hair 😍😍 ok i caved and subbed...
My dad had one of those years ago it was an amazing rig at the time, excel 3 long time since I seen one, awesome.no points in that rig boyo its the same as an 340 enticer with a different gear ratio in the case.
hey thanks man I love learning more about these vintage machines thanks for watching
@@goldenrustorbust no sweat ,I have 1992 phazer2 480cc in my shed now (mint)gotta love the old yamies, unkillable they are.
Awesome video bud! Keep up the good work!!
That intro was freaking hilarious. 😂😂😂
Come on dude we love your personality do more offroad toy revivals please 😁
Just buy some old pocket bike or something, maybe a drift trike ?
Either way cant wait to see more !
Holy Jesus that is Quality Ent3rTA1Nment. And I mean mint! Love it!
this exell and the old arctic cat should have a drag race see who goes the furthest
That was friggen awsome video man !! An hey I count that as success.. you got it to run an go that distance !! An have us a good few lmao 🤣 👍
That slick greasy mullet is almost as slick as your intros! MULLET on and keep it greasy!
He’s aliiiiiiiive!
Maybe choke adjustment?
Fun video brotha. She runs just fine. May not be the most comfy position on how you gotta keep her running lol, but she will do from point A to about point A.5. Lol.
I got some seadoos I'm gonna be working on and posting on my channel.
lookin forward to seeing that content man I just subbed
@@goldenrustorbust I appreciate you brotha. Keep your content coming lol.
I believe that's a send it special 340 for Larry
The dog barking at the end was perfect🤣🤣
You need more information in the about column. It’s hard to send you goodies to work with if we don’t know where to send them.
well, it ran. kinda. i'd just use the engine for some other project. it would make an awesome go buggy power plant. with as little snow as we've been getting lately, a go buggy will be used way more than a sled.
That's some vintage sled right there.
you need to post a new vid every week man! really enjoying the content!
Hey inhave a few old sleds that you could revive and race at the ice races
Haven't laughed so much in years. Cheers buddy!🤣
Did I just see a Ski-Doo safari rear end behind mook? 👀
Loved the intro man!
If you decide it ain't worth fixing and part it out, I need some pieces from it.
OMG I can’t stop laughing! Keep making your vids! Love your style!
