Seriously Mariellen, this may just be my favorite thing I found this year! You should try it, there is a free download of the book on the blog. That way you can try it before buying the book (if you want the book) or just use the downloaded version. www.homerogueschool.com/post/creative-form-drawing-class-one-6-7-year-old-s-review
@@homerogueschool8408 Thanks so much. I’ll def check out your blog. Love how you made them into books. I found some 9 x12 Melissa and Doug blank sketch books on Rainbow Resources I think could work. I love how you made up the stories as you drew. I think that would really bring my kids into the activity and help them focus. Are there any suggestions for the little stories in the book or did you just come up with them? I may need a little help there.
Yes a blank sketchbook would work great. I just made up the stories as I went. Most were SUPER simple about animals (like the busy bee flying to the flower and then zipping quickly back) or (the gentle waves of a boat on a calm sunny day and then the contrast of a dark stormy night and how the waves are higher and more bouncy). Some days the stories ended up better than others but my kids were TOTALLY into it.
I just discovered form drawing and then your video which is so helpful! I went to your blog to see if you had the pdf up for your lesson plan because I could really use that and it's not up yet. Do you think you'll be putting that up soon?
Your books are so beautiful. Did you see an improvement in handwriting after doing form drawing? I would love a PDF if your simplified notes if your like to share them.
This was super helpful! Thank you so much for sharing. :)
Glad it was helpful Angela. I hope you love form drawing as much as we do!
I love this! My kids would have so much fun with this.
