    Hi, loved your video. I got my keratin treatment back in September of this year and I’m about to be 4 weeks in next week. I washed my hair once since the appointment, and my next wash day is next week. But today, for the first time, I put very loose cornrolls on my head for the whole day to give my hair a break form all the combing and touching (my hair gets naturally oily looking after a couple of days and it looked dull, plus I added hair oil and massage it into my scalp today) and so much pieces of hair fell out when I comb it (wide tooth comb) I never seen that much come out before. Is that normal? Could it be also because the keratin is on top of 9 month old relaxer? What products should I use to prevent it from happening again?
    Thank you 😊

      I’m happy you enjoyed the video! I can’t be too sure without a thorough consultation but it sounds like you’re combing your dry hair. This causes a lot of breakage especially if you only wash your hair once to twice a month. I recommend cleansing your hair once a week especially because you have a relaxer and keratin, your hair needs moisture. Also I would refrain from running a comb or brush through your dry hair. I have recommend my clients use the curl revival system to maintain their moisture/protein balance while having a keratin treatment:

      If you don’t notice a change after a month of weekly washing, you should go to your stylist so they can see what is happening to your hair.
      Hopes this helps 💕

    Is there a resource you’d recommend to find curly hair stylist like yourself who specializes in cezanne keratin smoothing treatment? When I searched the cezanne website, it showed salons that offer it, but not the stylist who were trained.

      The salon directory on the website is what I recommend. You could always go on the individual salon website and see who is trained in the treatment or give them a call and check out the stylist’s work. Sometimes the salon is actually one person but they only use their business name.

    What shampoo/conditioner would you recommend?

    • @timelesslymirna

      A keratin safe shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate free. It should say keratin safe on the bottle. I have my own product line in the salon formulated for keratin and color treated curls: www.timelesslymirna.com/hair-products

    I have a tex lax. Would doing akeratin treatment damage my hair or cause the ends to become straight and thin? I want the curls to become more defined, sae reason as to why I texlax in the fiest place. With a tsxturizer mt haie is a defined 4a-3c😢

      If you use keratin over your Tex lex hair it will most likely get straighter and not define your curls. I would grow your Tex lax out and then do keratin on your natural curls

    I got a bio keratine treatment done and the stylist told me to always blowdry my hair after washday since the heat apparently reactivates the keratin. Would you recommend this as well?

    • @timelesslymirna

      I’ve never used that treatment before so I’m not sure how it reacts. But for the keratin treatment I use, blowdrying isn’t necessary.

    What oils can you use after a keratin treatment

    • @timelesslymirna

      I don't recommend my clients use oil really in general only if you need to smooth hairs. Oils aren't necessary in a hair care routine.

    Can this be used with a balayage? If so would i get the color first?

    • @timelesslymirna

      Yes you can do a balayage and a keratin treatment. I would do the color first.
      I made a video showing the entire process and haircare tips. You can check it out here:

    Great information. Question, can you go swimming in chlorine? Will it damage the keratin?

    • @timelesslymirna

      Yes, absolutely you can go swimming. It will not ruin your treatment but you should wash your hair after swimming to prevent drying out your hair regardless ❤️

    Does apple cider vinegar rinses strip keratin? I do it to control dandruff.

      Yes you can still use ACV after a keratin treatment. Just make sure it’s diluted enough and you’ll be good!

    Curious…. Could I still braid my hair after getting a keratin hair treatment?

      Absolutely! You can still wear your protective styles. It’ll help keep your hair strong.

    Hi. Is Keratin complex a good keratin treatment brand. It is formaldehyde free as well. The stylist i’m considering going to uses that one.

    • @timelesslymirna

      Honestly I’m not sure. I’ve never used it so I really can’t say. I recommend doing your research and seeing curls before and after the treatment, especially from the stylist you want to see.

    Can you use permanent color the same day of keratin treatment?

    • @timelesslymirna

      Yes, you can. But I have some general tips so you can protect your curls when you have color and keratin. I made a video! Here’s the link:

      Only the excess, but every keratin treatment is different so I would follow manufacturer’s instructions
