Some info: Adora is a singer/producer who worked at Bighit for many years. Whenever you hear female backing vocals in a bts song, that's her. A noticeable example is the song Inner Child.
She left Bighit a few years ago to start her own solo career. But she's still close with them: Yoongi asked her to record vocals for SDL and she also sang live during some of his tour!

As an army who went to see suga in concert, Varnell was exactly right with how the audience reacted at the show. From headbanging to crying and lightsticks. He needs to see the concert dvd.
Everything they say is so true, RM doesn't get all the credit he deserves from the industry just because he is Korean, music is universal and his art touches everyone who truly appreciates music and good art.
For me, the rap line is the soul of BTS, the way they guide their projects in such a personal way, so involved and, above all, so original and honest, is something that is very rare to see today and that is part of what makes them such unique and incredible artists.

Thank you Sleep and Varnell - this is so much fun! Suga is such a talented producer, and I've noticed he has a love of big orchestration and expansive soundscapes - it shows up in his BTS and Agust D work, but it's more noticeable in his production for outside projects, like "Stay Alive" (an OST featuring Jungkook) and "Over the Horizon, " his 2022 version of Samsung's ringtone. Ryuichi Sakamoto was one of his heroes--they met a few months before his passing (no spoilers y'all)--and Suga used to make beats with his instrumental pieces. I just know he has a movie score in him, and I really hope he'll do one someday. 💜

The female voice in People is Adora. She was one of the producers who was with BTS for a long time before she pursued to be a solo artist. ARMY loves her voice too. She has been contributing her vocal for a lot of BTS' songs. Her voice is like the cherry on top of a cupcake. It completed the song very well. ARMY really admires her voice so much. And in People pt. 2, she also had a part too. Maybe you guys can check it oit in future 😊😉

I loooove to hear someone fully appreciate yoongis knowledge about rap/hip hop…on a first listen…once he reads the translations, I think he will appreciate him on a new level as well
So the thing with rapline is that they are big lovers of the old school rap that they would actually basically hold classes for the other members when they joined so that the vocal line could appreciate what they were trying to do when they first were becoming a hip-hop group more than an idol group which they more became. Yoongi especially loves Eminem.

The fact that he got all these feelings just from Dear My Friend's melody is a testament to how good Suga is as a producer in conveying emotions in his music...
I always get emotional listening to it because of the sad lyrics, but there's truth in the melody being a tear jerker in itself!

The rap line are our main writers and producers for all of BTS music not just their own solo work. They have others that help them, but it is rare to find at least one of those three are not on it out of 200+ discography that is just the group they have very few songs that they don’t have a hand in and I can’t wait for you to meet J-Hope 18:07
I’m 43 and I grew up a hip hop and R&B baby till Now. I found BTS just 2 and a half years ago and I was blown away. I’ve been HARDCORE full time proud ARMY ever since. Never fan girl’ed over anything in my life but these guys are on a different level of artistry.

I love the fact that you guys mention that we don't have to know the language to capture the vibe and the feeling of what he's rapping about. And that's absolutely true. Music goes way beyond language barrier. His solo projects might be my favorite from all the seven. Because his skills as a producer are all over Agust D (1st project), D-2 and D-Day, he really went above and beyond and at the same time his albums are so personal and talk about all hus struggles with anxiety and mental health. I can honestly say his songs, specially from his 3rd album D-Day saved me from a very difficult situation. I'm very glad you're covering his solo work. Can't wait for you to cover more members and BTS group Songs!!!!!!

Fun facts abt Daewitcha:
-Daechwita (literally “great blowing and hitting”) is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while marching.” (From my understanding usually when the King was marching) (& yes Korean traditional music/instruments)
-if you pay close attention to how he says Daewitcha you can hear him change it to informal & formal. It is like different sides of himself are saying it (if you watch MV it will make sense)
-Also the beat doesn’t change. It is his voice that does the changing & moves the song. So cool
