Wow! He's talking about the love of many growing cold and the church getting too liberal back then. I'd love to hear what he would have to say about how it is now.
Sadly if you read about his death he was rejected by the growing liberal movement in the church and feared the worst for the future of it. Apparently his concern was not ill placed.
