Non law enforcement can own this. They can also own body armor. Upset about the price. This stuff isnt cheap to make. FLIR makes a solid product. If you need one come up with the funds to get one. Take out a loan if you want. I have used infrared during the war its an excellent tool for night observation. Beats night vision
The ads vs other monoculars of same design show that Flir has fallen behind is it the picture quality is no where’s near as good as a pulsar. I tried their best scout flir monocular and Picture quality was lower, far lower than I expected. And when I did a Small vertical spin from 6° to 12°, the scope kept freezing in the picture with stop numerous times. I have to say I’m not a big fan of Florer at this point and I hope they do get better.
That would be against the laws of physics :) Contrary to what film and television may lead you to believe, you can’t see through walls with thermal imaging cameras.
This unit is all about the money since leo doesnt need any more advanced thermal than the average thermal customer. Which is perfectly understandable since businesses are there to make money, just sucks for my taxes :(
Hey Filr, 60hz is not exportable, but if I want it for wild life observation and that kind "non -professional" activity, do I need register it somewhere? Or is it open for civil activity, no rigestration, license etc?
$3300. To see thermally through one eye. Make something that people can actually buy without spending more than the same price as 2 nice guns. $3,300 for something the size of a burrito. Yes I know the technology is advanced, but Flir will never sell to the common who want to buy it at those prices.
Hi Josh! If you are looking for a great introduction to thermal technology check out FLIR ONE, starts at $199 for your smart device. Also, the Scout TK Thermal monocular. Learn more at FLIR.com/FLIRONE or FLIR.com/ScoutTK
They do, go to flir website, I've bought scout and love it. I use it for wildlife. I'm upgrading soon. I would love to get this one of course, but working my way up. They have many affordable one bro. Thanks flir, your life saver for real
I want a much smaller one thats attacked to a head harness, so i dont have to hold it Also 3,000 dollors is way too much for what it is, we dont need wifi and bluetooth, we just want night vision, plain and simple, dont only target government contract buyers, this pushes away civilian buyers, also i dont want a cell phone attachment like the flir 1, of that same system was in a compact scope style design i would be more interested, thermal vision would be nice, but my main goal is night vision but it seems the market is flooded with just what i see here making what i want extremely difficult to find
Check out other FLIR products, they have less expensive options geared more towards civilian purchases. Quality night vision and thermal equipment is still fairly expensive technology, but less quality products exist at a lower price point.

Not for the people. Only for Enemies Domestic.
Looks like St helens finest could use some PT and a diet more than a flir camera.

@@Flir I believe they already have that technology but secret .

Yeah I don’t think it’s the right thing to market something like this to le. I don’t trust them that much.
Well I can just imagine it being the wrong hands

Everything is rechargeable Lipo now-a-days, a shame FLIR didn't develop this product with that in mind.
Fortunately we did! There will be a rechargeable battery available for Scion as well.
@@Flir Consider creating the product to accept widely available Lipo batteries like Sony's NP-FZ100 or NP-FW50.
For law enforcement only? That sucks
It wouldve been great to show the fugitive up in a tree using one of these looking back at that piece of bacon.
You get kicked out the lobby for using this
Can you see Bigfoot with that 😂😂😂😂cool gadgets

The 9 year old that needs “night vision” on his “helmet”. Lmao
Seems like great tech. Many LEOs lives will be saved. Many more crooks will get caught. Can't hide in the bush so easily.
