Still, I’ve learned a little about music here and there, and it’s fascinating to see the overlap between my own interests and what I notice in the videos of those passionate about music. In a way, their passions rub off on me a bit through what I learn from videos like Andrew’s.

Well, I may not know a lot about modular synths, but thanks to sciatica I do know a lot about tens unit gel pads! If you need them to stick better just dip your finger in a cup of water, drip it on the gel, and gently rub it around until it's evenly coated. They'll stick a lot better 😊 Awesome music, I hope I get a chance to play with a modular synth someday!

If the randomness is digitally created, it’s not really random. Using yourself as the generator, unless you can control it purposefully somehow, is closer to real random. That in itself makes the art more special to me. The uniqueness of the moment it was captured.

Have you ever checked out the NIME proceedings Andrew? This kind of thing was the bread and butter of my music degree. "New Interfaces for Musical Expression" I think you would have a blast if you ever got the chance to attend the conference. Imogen Heap even presented a paper / demo in 2015 I think. I went in 2016, and you will never find a more nerdy bunch of music nerds.

Here's a fun idea for the future. Making music with boiling water, of water that's fluctuating in temperature. Idk how you'd go about this but uhhhh, could be done probably?
