Best video I’ve seen on this topic, and I have looked. Great chart-super helpful.

Very interesting video. To my mind, this is the core of radioham activity, knowledge and curiosity about how things happen, and how to master them.
Thank you again Davide. 73. Claudio IU0BNG

The tuner videos are excellently done! Davide presents the subjects accurately, succinctly, and in English better spoken than most Americans. 73, Bill, K8TE

Dave, Thank you for making this excellent video.. Many amateur operators feel that if you have a 1:1 match with your "antenna tuner" then you're good to go.. They then get upset when the tuner arks or smokes and they say it's a piece of junk. As Kevin said below this is clearly explained and I'm going to share this with my friends. Rich KG5IF

Nicely done. Can’t wait to get upstairs and work out the math for myself.

I am a bit concerned about the test where I saw the voltage measuring probes attached directly to the input and output ports of the tuner. These could introduce other parameters which could complicate the calcuations. It would be interesting to see the results if you used two identical watt metres. One on the input of the tuner and the other on the output to measure the tuner loss.
I my experiments, I have found that this shows the very high losses on the lower HF bands that occur with small tuners using small torroid coils compared to large tuners which use large diameter wire coils. Otherwise a very good video with lots of useful information. Thank you.

Well done in making such a helpful video, and very well explained. I am a great believer in open wire fed doublets but get into too many arguments about the use of a tuner. Certainly a number of tuner designs over the years have been compromised by the desire to achieve additional low pass filtering which is probably not needed.
