'Massive in my mouth' lol. Nice review Horst
Один из любимых моих виски, только цена на него у нас в районе 65-70$ и редко встречается в продаже. Кстати у меня в коллекции релиз 2016 года . Спасибо за обзор. Лайк и подписка. Привет из Сибири.🙋♂️
I find this one opens up incredibly well with a couple of teaspoons of water. So much so infact, that the person I used as a blind taste tester (they don't like Islays) enjoyed it without water, but with the water asked "what the HELL is this?!", it made it much more complex haha.
I really want to try these new Bunnahabhain expressions! Love the new background.
I have to say that Bunnahabhain is my absolute favourite brand, feels more like a Speyside than a peaty Islay. Tops for me is the 12yo which you can get at an attractive price for a quality whisky. I tried Stiuireadair and found it a little ‘young’ and not in the same class as the 12yo. Nevertheless an excellent whisky and recommend adding a little water to it which brings out the flavour. Being sold at a bargain price by Tesco just now.
How much? I just got one for $40 USD
@@oliverwilliams7225 That sounds a very good price as usually about £30 to £40UK. As a Scot I do honestly hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years.
As previous viewer noted, with a drop or two of water completly opens up and becomes dynamically more appealing
Big Bunnahabhain fan. Thanks for reviewing this.
Tried a glass of this at Scottish whisky experience in July. Great whisky.
You know it's bad when a German thinks it's a long unpronounceable word. lol
Well, a German who is not aware of many things 😉
- many German words are longer
- both Bunnahabhain and Stiuireadair may have some Germanic roots, to me these words sound more Germanic than Gaelic, but I do not know how much Germanic influence there is in Gaelic
- the Habhain in B is exactly pronounced like the German word "Hafen", which means port
- helmsman in German is "Steuermann", so the first part is quite close to Stiuir, actually, I just realized that only the i is replaced by an e, and "Steuer" is the stirring wheel (and I also just realized that stirring almost certainly is related to stiuir) of the helmsman, which leaves the question, where the "helms" comes from 🤔 (which I hate to say also sounds Germanic 😉)
Very sweet whisky, especially with a few drops of water. I really like it!
Hello!
I really like your tastings! I'm happy to watch your new releases and revise some old ones - you make excellent reviews. Feeling that you try whiskey with you)).
I really like your new snifter, which you use in the latest videos. Tell me - who is the producer and what is the name of this glass?
I would really appreciate it!
Аrom Russia with love! )
Roman
Coal Ila does the opposite, heavily peated usually but occasionally they do an unpeated version. Have the 17 yo unpeated and it is great. You might even like it.
Just opened my bottle! Excellent experience. Still prefer the 12Yo...
A taster once told me to leave my mouth slightly opened whilst smelling, it lowers the fumes and opens up the finer complexities.
This whisky is perfect if you want some sherry but not a heap its has dark fruits on the nose and palate and I agree with most a drop of water gives a bit more depth.
Great value at £25!!!
I like it a lot and at $40 it’s a “no brainer!”
Hated it. The flavors clash for me rather than work together. I use it to make old fashions which taste quite good and more complex than those made with bourbon.
"massive in my mouth" reminds me of my ex!
What was his name.. 😂
