Alhaitham Kuki was absolutely the move here - he would have done asimon faster if you hit it with quicken while it's invisible (you can see it based on the down arrows showing it's debuffed). Also: Zhongli probably should have been swapped to full hp and fav. That Itto ER looked painful. Gorou c4 does also heal, but you were probably better off with Zhongli anyway - Gorou would have just been more damage. I think an interesting (and less depressing) challenge would be beating the abyss with only c0 five stars and c6 four stars with four star weapons. That's definitely possible since plenty of players do it, I think the challenge for Moha would be that most of his mains have constellations. He wouldn't be able to use Hu Tao, Raiden, Yelan, Nahida, Itto, Zhongli - but a bunch of very strong options would still be available (Alhaitham, Ayaka, a whole littany of four stars). The main reason I doubt Moga would do this, though, is because he'd need to raise a bunch of four star weapons (I think it'd be good to do that anyway tbh ':)))
Gorou needs a bigger team to be fully functional. Without 3 geos, no geo DMG buff. You also have no resist debuff, since resonance requires a 4 man team. That makes the impact of Zhongli's resist debuff bigger. And if you then factor in having to dodge more, I think Gorou would probably make for a DPS loss.
Just a heads up, consecrated beasts can be frozen since they're not boss mobs. Perhaps if your ayaka or ganyu is strong enough, you can pair them with a hydro healer/support? Hope this somewhat helps 😬 can also be vice versa with a team of ayato/childe with Layla or diona

Actually the problem here is that even if you used a Hydro & Cryo unit you still needed an Electro unit to fight that stupid boss in F12-3 and in Moga's challenge since he is using only 2 characters so he still can't use freeze comp 🥺 so this makes freeze comp good for 12-1 & 12-2(since ganyu is bow user) but bad for 12-3 🥺
this is what f2p abyss with team of 4 always feels like. even tho its 4 its still partially missing key elements to really do damage or sustain. especially that shout at 18:17 felt so close to home. love ur content keep being urself
If anything this video shows how much harder genshin has made abyss, the damn enemies have so much more HP and they can do 40k damage in literally seconds
why woupd u use yelan with hu tao in this challange and expect to clear xingqiu is better option in every way, unless yelan is c2 (in terms of hydro applications) plus xingqiu has great defensive capabilities, while applying more hydro than yelan unless yelan is c2 like i said
Xingqiu is absolutely the better option and I believe Moga simply forgot that four stars can be better than five stars, *however* he was also thinking about ch2 where Yelan would be much more helpful than Xingqiu.
@@francke5148 yes Tighnari does have a taunt like mechanic, but it's pretty unwieldy to use against enemies that attack with such large AoE. You could just sprint away from the consecrated beasts and hope they both stay distracted, but they leap all over the place. He's not a terrible choice, but personally I find Tighnari pretty hard to keep alive in first chamber. Some of that is down to my own dodging, sure, but Alhaitham is a more comfortable pick imo (Moga's dodging definitely isn't any better than mine ':)))

I was thinking TIghnari/Kuki too but he said that his Tighnari wouldn't do enough damage. And he's still right about stamina, he can't dodge if all his stamina is used up doing charged attacks. Yelan isn't onfield in a Hu Tao/Yelan comp so he can't just use Yelan's e everytime he needs to dodge because she doesn't have i-frames while she's doing her skill.

Granted I don't think Tighnari would be ideal for the consecrated beasts, but then again, neither was any of the other teams. He did fine with Al-Haitham, but he really decided to learn a whole new exploit on hia held e rather than using the ideal bow character And then there's him not using quicken on the Dorito boss to knock it down immediately It was really entertaining though.

Alhaitham Kuki can get through first half. Its correct that Haitham can use E to jump up and hit the drake in the air, disabling it. You have to do it the moment it starts charching this little ball of light under its head. This duo has everything you need. Big PP damage from Haitham, one of the strongest reactions in the game AND heals from Kuki. But need a spread Kuki, not EM one, obv. And yeah, gilded is better on Haitham in this scenario. I use him 2p gilded 2p wanderers troupe. Highly recommend.
She doesn't really support well for a challenge like this though because she doesn't help with damage. I can't think of anybody he could use with Diona. She buffs EM but her cryo application is very slow. Maybe somebody could build her pure ER so she can spam burst and pair her with Wanderer? But then she wouldn't be necessary cause Wanderer can stun the ruin drake himself so Bennett would be better.
I did duos pretty easily myself floor 12 9 star with multiple teams, but the 5 stars I brought had some busted cons. C2 yelan + XQ side one and c2 Nahida+nilou (healing with prototype amber) side two were the easiest clears from the ones ive tried. The nilou nahida combo did room one in 67 seconds with minimum difficulty.
Honest question. Do you think that as an f2p you can actually clear abyss? Ive played since release (mobile player) the enemies take like 5 seconds to load which is already really frustrating but i for the life of me cant clear abyss
You definitely can, I cleared yesterday with only 4 star characters with 2 5 star weapons (skyward harp for fischl and mistsplitter for kaeya). Getting 36 stars will be extremely difficult but just clearing it should be fairly doable.
as f2p u can clear it yeh ofc depends on whats characters u got built etc the thing is though mobile....i never rly play on mobile so cant rly say much on that
Yes you can. On my F2P account I cleared(36*) it with Hypercarry Keqing and Raiden National for two years now. Even in the current abyss I always had more than enough time to clear…well maybe not more than enough but always atleast 10 seconds left. Being F2P is honestly not an excuse for not clearing abyss if you have proper builds and know how the game mechanics work. Shitty artifact rng is kinda an excuse but at some point not anymore if you properly build your supports Edit: I clear abyss always on my iPad or iPhone btw
In Floor 12 when you had to face the Aeonblight Drake you could have used Wanderer,Keqing or Alhaitham to stun him without any bow user, especially Wanderer bacause he can stun him in only one try without waiting for the cooldown for Keqing's or Alhaitham's elemental skill :D
I think the bigger issue was getting to the aeonblight, there is absolutely no way wanderer is surviving chamber one without a shielder AND a healer...and keqing dps alone isn't enough
I don't think ive seen a single person post a video in which they shoot/hit the aeonblight drake or even the ground ruin drakes in the eye while they're building their resistance on the ground. It gives you a whole knockdown before they start flying and prevents them from getting any resistances. I'm sure there are people who know about this, but for some reason no one ever does it.
ive been doing this type of challenge myself for a while now, and i will say, this Abyss is not made for teams of 2. you could try teams of 3 tho, i managed to do it with Haitham, Kuki, Yelan first half and Nilou, Nahida, Kokomi second half. you can even 9 star it this way. dont lose hope, try and focus, you have nothing to lose anyways ;)
I’ve already posted this elsewhere, but… Hi moga, info about the algorithm that might help you. The moment it turns invisible, you need to find the actual main invisible body, that usually teleports a little bit away from its parts. You can still hardly see it. You must hit it with a quicken (dendro+ electro) reaction, it will turn visible instantly and you can dps it. No need to break the parts he spawns, only to proc that reaction on the actual main part. You can train to do that on the world boss, if you want. The boss is extremely easy once you learn that

9 star clears might be possible, even with c0 units. I've done a few duo runs for several previous abyss cycles, I kinda got tired of them though, I don't have the patience to sit through the concentrated beasts bs attack animations again after the first time they put them in abyss. When I used to do it though my best teams were Xiao ZL/Benny, yoi XQ in boss content, and nahida kuki/keqing, honestly the hard part was always the survival part, meeting the dps checks is almost never the problem it felt like, as such I'm absolutely not touching this abyss with an 8 foot tall pole for this challenge.
Could be just me but after trying out 2 characters at a time dps Barbara + Nahida is insanely broken like constant bloom and switching between the 2 every few seconds for Nahida’s skill then using Barbara to attack works crazy well (Coming from a Barbara main)
Me personally, I would have used eula w/ raiden or bennett. Because then you could have gotten through a chamber with a few seconds with eula as the whole point of her is to be a big physical nuke dps
I've done this before, as F2P, trying to duo each chamber and have 9 stared floor 12 but it took me 5-6 hours which I had to be stubborn about but I did do it. The teams that I used were Ayaka/Kazuha, for freezable content Ayaka/XQ, and the main carry was pure DPS Mistsplitter C6 Benny/Yelan which was crazy fun and unconventional but also 6 hours...
If you dont want to read explanation : the consecrated beasts attack fast and have combatable elements so they are doing a comp on you like how we use reactions to increase our damage I dont know if it's an actual thing but i realized the monsters can trigger all reactions not just transformative as i thought before so their damage multiply when they attacks together in f12-2 they triger spread and agrivate on you to so the damage goes crazy
Fischl + Baizhu first half could be good. Don't underestimate Fischl as aggravate DPS (especially her C6). That said, I can't prove it because I don't farm artifacts lol Or Fischl off-field + Nahida on field; although that would require... dodging
Plus it wants Ganyu on the field, and Ganyu would have no healing. Overall, it would be inferior to Nahida + Dehya. But even for that, there wouldn't be enough healing, especially without C4 on Dehya.
If you guys are thinking about doing this challenge and are doubtful on who to use, here are some duos that done it for me and some that should be able to do it: Hu Tao/Xingqiu (dont do Yelan unless u have either hers or Hu Tao's c6 or if ur just super good at dodging + Xingqiu has NOTICEABLE survivability buffs and better hydro application); Yelan/Xingqiu (self explanatory); AlHaitham/Kuki (deepwood on Kuki); Cyno/Baizhu; Ayato/Xingqiu; Keqing/Kirara; Kazuha/Bennett; Dehya/Kazuha (better with Dehya c1, but with enough investment I believe it's possible); Zhongli/Itto; C6 Yanfei/Zhongli; Yae/Kirara; Kokomi/Kazuha or Candace (better with Fumetsu Gekka on Kokomi); Nahida/Kuki and Wanderer/Bennett (Wanderer is a piece of paper, so have ur dodging in check). Yes, there are a lot of 5 stars, but thats how the cookie crumbles when transformative reactions like Hyperbloom and soup are out of the picture. Ofc, for a duo you do need a LOT of investment. Also pay attention to the characters mechanics, for example, I believe you can snipe the drake with Itto, Kazuha, Keqing and AlHaitham can do snipe it as well, the ASIMON can be immediately stunned with quicken, these little mechanics are there to be abused. This abyss is also very cancerous, so id wait till the next rotation ig.
I can do it with Eula with just Kuki, Dehya with just Bennett and Yelan with just Layla. All c6 of though and ill be honest theres no way I'm good enough to do it if they weren't c6. If your Nahida is not c6 then you're already better than me.
prototype amber does not heal that much for those 2 to survive, and yae can be hit while casting her skills amd she will do it 6 times per rotation, so no not rlly
@xanax I think if you can survive with kuki you can survive with yae miko and nahida they are very ranged, and no having to auto attack that much gives room to breath also I think Mogas nahida is c3 that's enough dps to at least 2 star

Not that I think Moga would ever do this again but here is some duo suggestions. Tighnari/Kuki (Tighnari is better than you give him credit for) Kazuha/Bennett (build bennett for DPS and this actually slaps.. He'll still heal decently too just be sure not to neglect the ER) Kokomi/Xiangling (Xiangling needs an abysmal amount of ER tho) Ayato/Thoma (Thoma's shield has almost 100% uptime when he has the ER to sustain it) Noelle/Gorou (Noelle have more survivability than Itto and gorou also heals and buffs Noelle)
tighnari has better electro supports because in order to apply electro in this team he would have to be close to the enemies which puts him in a disadvantage as a bow user. Moga also said that his dmg wouldn't be enough, which compared to alhaitham it wouldn't. Tighnari starts to truly shine at c6. And considering his Itto is c4 i highly doubt he would ever swap him with noelle who would be doing way less dmg, meaning it would take him even longer. Her shield would also get almost immediately broken by the beasts and her skill CD is way too long.
for the dorito boss, if you trigger quicken on the boss itself it can cancel the invisible phase I wouldn't blame you if you don't know. I only found out about it around a couple weeks ago, and this boss has been out for almost half a year
a tip for the ASIMON, you don't have to destroy the little constructs to make him appear, he actually teleports usually behind where he was and becomes invisible, and you have to hit him with electro and dendro
tbf he did say that the last time he used him was for his god mode. You can't expect him to remember how every single unit he has works if he doesn't regulary use them.
Watching Moga suffer brings me a weirdly big amount of joy. Idea for Moga, why not let Capt or someone else you trust and that "taught" you how to use other characters in the past, basically if they're "better" than you to teach you why not have them give this challebge a try on your account and see how good they do.
When moga was conflicted on what characters to use with the aeon drake and the triangle boss. I've been fighting them to level up characters and I've found that Wanderer is fantastic as main damage dealer with Fischl as support or using Fischl and Yanfei because reactions and they don't have to be right up against the enemy to do damage.

yes f2p clearing abyss is perfectly reasonable. Follow some abyss guides or something they are good at explaining how to clear abyss

In Floor 12 when you had to face the Aeonblight Drake you could have used Wanderer,Keqing or Alhaitham to stun him without any bow user, especially Wanderer bacause he can stun him in only one try without waiting for the cooldown for Keqing's or Alhaitham's elemental skill :D
I think the bigger issue was getting to the aeonblight, there is absolutely no way wanderer is surviving chamber one without a shielder AND a healer...and keqing dps alone isn't enough

I don't think ive seen a single person post a video in which they shoot/hit the aeonblight drake or even the ground ruin drakes in the eye while they're building their resistance on the ground. It gives you a whole knockdown before they start flying and prevents them from getting any resistances. I'm sure there are people who know about this, but for some reason no one ever does it.
its cuz the aeonblight flies shortly after that and when you knock it down its loses its resistance, so some people don't bother
ive been doing this type of challenge myself for a while now, and i will say, this Abyss is not made for teams of 2. you could try teams of 3 tho, i managed to do it with Haitham, Kuki, Yelan first half and Nilou, Nahida, Kokomi second half. you can even 9 star it this way. dont lose hope, try and focus, you have nothing to lose anyways ;)

Hi moga, info about the algorithm that might help you. The moment it turns invisible, you need to find the actual main invisible body, that usually teleports a little bit away from its parts. You can still hardly see it. You must hit it with a quicken (dendro+ electro) reaction, it will turn visible instantly and you can dps it. No need to break the parts he spawns, only to proc that reaction on the actual main part. You can train to do that on the world boss, if you want. The boss is extremely easy once you learn that

9 star clears might be possible, even with c0 units. I've done a few duo runs for several previous abyss cycles, I kinda got tired of them though, I don't have the patience to sit through the concentrated beasts bs attack animations again after the first time they put them in abyss. When I used to do it though my best teams were Xiao ZL/Benny, yoi XQ in boss content, and nahida kuki/keqing, honestly the hard part was always the survival part, meeting the dps checks is almost never the problem it felt like, as such I'm absolutely not touching this abyss with an 8 foot tall pole for this challenge.
I think he forgot that when fighting the algorithm he can just use quicken the thing and trying to find it when invisible is easy with kookie
you could use cyno and baizhu (baizhu provides heals and shields and also reactions)

Could be just me but after trying out 2 characters at a time dps Barbara + Nahida is insanely broken like constant bloom and switching between the 2 every few seconds for Nahida’s skill then using Barbara to attack works crazy well

Me personally, I would have used eula w/ raiden or bennett. Because then you could have gotten through a chamber with a few seconds with eula as the whole point of her is to be a big physical nuke dps

I've done this before, as F2P, trying to duo each chamber and have 9 stared floor 12 but it took me 5-6 hours which I had to be stubborn about but I did do it. The teams that I used were Ayaka/Kazuha, for freezable content Ayaka/XQ, and the main carry was pure DPS Mistsplitter C6 Benny/Yelan which was crazy fun and unconventional but also 6 hours...

If you dont want to read explanation : the consecrated beasts attack fast and have combatable elements so they are doing a comp on you like how we use reactions to increase our damage
I dont know if it's an actual thing but i realized the monsters can trigger all reactions not just transformative as i thought before so their damage multiply when they attacks together in f12-2 they triger spread and agrivate on you to so the damage goes crazy
Fischl + Baizhu first half could be good. Don't underestimate Fischl as aggravate DPS (especially her C6).
That said, I can't prove it because I don't farm artifacts lol
Or Fischl off-field + Nahida on field; although that would require... dodging
Ganyu + Dehya would be interesting to see for the first half. I’d try it myself but I don’t have Dehya lol

Plus it wants Ganyu on the field, and Ganyu would have no healing.
Overall, it would be inferior to Nahida + Dehya. But even for that, there wouldn't be enough healing, especially without C4 on Dehya.

i was reallh hoping for a good yae miko team.
If you guys are thinking about doing this challenge and are doubtful on who to use, here are some duos that done it for me and some that should be able to do it: Hu Tao/Xingqiu (dont do Yelan unless u have either hers or Hu Tao's c6 or if ur just super good at dodging + Xingqiu has NOTICEABLE survivability buffs and better hydro application); Yelan/Xingqiu (self explanatory); AlHaitham/Kuki (deepwood on Kuki); Cyno/Baizhu; Ayato/Xingqiu; Keqing/Kirara; Kazuha/Bennett; Dehya/Kazuha (better with Dehya c1, but with enough investment I believe it's possible); Zhongli/Itto; C6 Yanfei/Zhongli; Yae/Kirara; Kokomi/Kazuha or Candace (better with Fumetsu Gekka on Kokomi); Nahida/Kuki and Wanderer/Bennett (Wanderer is a piece of paper, so have ur dodging in check). Yes, there are a lot of 5 stars, but thats how the cookie crumbles when transformative reactions like Hyperbloom and soup are out of the picture. Ofc, for a duo you do need a LOT of investment. Also pay attention to the characters mechanics, for example, I believe you can snipe the drake with Itto, Kazuha, Keqing and AlHaitham can do snipe it as well, the ASIMON can be immediately stunned with quicken, these little mechanics are there to be abused. This abyss is also very cancerous, so id wait till the next rotation ig.
Why didn't you change your itto and zhongli to fav?!? I know the stats will suck, but at least you'd always have itto burst

I’ve only 36 star it with Nahida and Kuki before (one half team and one full team) and it was ROUGH
I can do it with Eula with just Kuki, Dehya with just Bennett and Yelan with just Layla. All c6 of though and ill be honest theres no way I'm good enough to do it if they weren't c6. If your Nahida is not c6 then you're already better than me.

prototype amber does not heal that much for those 2 to survive, and yae can be hit while casting her skills amd she will do it 6 times per rotation, so no not rlly
@xanax I think if you can survive with kuki you can survive with yae miko and nahida they are very ranged, and no having to auto attack that much gives room to breath also I think Mogas nahida is c3 that's enough dps to at least 2 star

Not that I think Moga would ever do this again but here is some duo suggestions.
Tighnari/Kuki (Tighnari is better than you give him credit for)
Kazuha/Bennett (build bennett for DPS and this actually slaps.. He'll still heal decently too just be sure not to neglect the ER)
Kokomi/Xiangling (Xiangling needs an abysmal amount of ER tho)
Ayato/Thoma (Thoma's shield has almost 100% uptime when he has the ER to sustain it)
Noelle/Gorou (Noelle have more survivability than Itto and gorou also heals and buffs Noelle)
tighnari has better electro supports because in order to apply electro in this team he would have to be close to the enemies which puts him in a disadvantage as a bow user. Moga also said that his dmg wouldn't be enough, which compared to alhaitham it wouldn't. Tighnari starts to truly shine at c6.
And considering his Itto is c4 i highly doubt he would ever swap him with noelle who would be doing way less dmg, meaning it would take him even longer. Her shield would also get almost immediately broken by the beasts and her skill CD is way too long.

a tip for the ASIMON, you don't have to destroy the little constructs to make him appear, he actually teleports usually behind where he was and becomes invisible, and you have to hit him with electro and dendro

When moga was conflicted on what characters to use with the aeon drake and the triangle boss. I've been fighting them to level up characters and I've found that Wanderer is fantastic as main damage dealer with Fischl as support or using Fischl and Yanfei because reactions and they don't have to be right up against the enemy to do damage.
in this case wanderer would've died in a heart beat in the first chamber
