In last two months I saw an increase in number of Elezen encounters. It's so beautiful that the nature is healing and giraffes are returning to the wild.
To be honest, I kinda like the necks. Makes them a bit more unique compared to just a standard fantasy elf. The sprint does suck though. I always draw my weapon first before pressing sprint to get the weapon sprinting animation instead lol
I have screenshots of when I was a femiqote and the necks are just as long and prone to strange angles, but Elezen have smaller sized heads which makes the neck look longer. I like the Elezen necks too, makes them look like super models.

As a baby-faced Elezen with a soul patch (not full goatee) my biggest complaint is the whole concept of ear armor. They're made of the same cartilage as Hyurs and could just as easily be tucked into a normal shaped helmet. Other than that it's my Dance and Blush emotes, Dance is the most "I can't believe you're making me do this" emote I've ever seen and Blush doesn't look shy or embarrassed at all it's closer to "ah ah ah, didn't say the magic word!" Overall I love my long boy and he's a fairly accurate representation of myself in game with my eye color and the ability to grow a soul patch being the exceptions. Thank you for this wonderful look into the life of a string bean! 😂❤
I think Elezen have the potential to look so good, but nothing could make me part from my bunny boy whom I've had since Endwalker came out. (I really look forward to the Viera experience if you get to it! :D) Great video like always!
@@apoc35 i actually like the au ra run, it looks like it has actual feeling in it, but fem elezen run just... doesn't have it, nobody actually would run like that, elezen running+sprinting and fem midlander running are the worst running animations in the game. i have a weird love+hate relationship with the fem elezen running animation, i hate it but also kind of like it, the reason why i hate it so much is because it couldve been so much better, look at vieras running animation for example, its so good, i know a lot of people who would actually play elezens if for that stupid running animation, when you need to see that for 90% of the gameplay, ofc you dont wanna be it :/
The models for cat, bunny , even hyur are already look so good. Although you don't care what to wear or make customization as a meme character, they're still looking good for some degree. But for elezen, if you can make them look good, they're gonna be more unique than those typical popular races.
You know how sometimes it can be really surprising when a youtube says later on their career that they are going to go pursue a career in music. After the amount of musical montages we have had I wouldn't even be remotely surprised if Sam put out an announcement video in three years in front of a studio cam in their living room called "Goodbye TH-cam" and then promoted their SoundCloud. Anyways, another fantastic video, keep it up.

I liked Legolas, so I made an elezen when first starting the game. A female one, since I’m horny, and a duskwight at that. I received a few surprised comments because people weren’t used to seeing someone play elezen. And I didn’t know how small our population truly was until I found out about census. I also never noticed the long necks, but that’s probably because I know how to glamour, unlike *you.* loljk It’s been 6 years since then, and I didn’t think about using Fantasia once. I don’t know what your problem.
I'm a Fem Highlander main (aka invisible) and I love her to death (chose her not knowing anything about their lore because I liked the womanly vibe Fem Highlander gives, even if Square itself uses Midlander models for all Highlander women lol) but Male Elezen are definitely the most attractive of all of the males and definitely, the best at glamour. They look good both in heavy armor AND in casual/historical clothing. Not to mention the gorgeous hairstyles. If I played a male character, I'd be male Elezen for sure.
I always have trouble being a thighlander lady or an Elezen. I love both so much, it's costly in fantasia lol but my husband is a male elezen and I think that's why I am an Elezen more often. Still I really appreciate my highlander.
They used midlanders models for Minfila and Lyse because Female Highlanders weren't available in the 1.0 versions. Minfila does have a bust a Midlander can't get. I find Hyur easier to gear up since they have less clipping issues and getting less weird tells as a Hyur is a good thing.
If this game has taught me anything about my preferences with fashion, it's that even with non-conventional body features you want to lean into them if your going to find any success. I actually made a female Elezen not too long ago and all of my outfits so far have some kind of necklace or choker accessory to help lead things towards the face. The neck is there, it's noticeable, but its part of the look - you own it and hopefully feel great with what your carrying yourself with. And this is all just theory craft, because there totally isn't alternative means to get more extensive body tattoos in this game yet or more defined muscles... this would be the race that I think would benefit the most from that in both regards. There are technically taller females and many taller males, but you get the most volume without distorted stretching and for me personally a look that is both feminine and masculine in different respects is attractive. Like you could imagine your warrior of light as a character ripped from Heavy Metal Magazine carrying a big battle axe.
I watch this video as a Proud Elezen main, ever since I picked up the game and I will thoroughly enjoy my race with their long necks with minimal coping.

I had initially been like "an elf? nah I'll be something more unique, I can be an elf everywhere" but then wound up on Felezen. Personally I really enjoy leaning into their awkward parts, particularly that neck.
Proud Elezen here. I can't even count the number of times I've gotten /tells of people praising my Elezen. It's just, the best race. But some animations are indeed incredibly stuff. After a while you get so used to the giant necks of the elezen, so much so that when you try and make a hyur man all your glamours suddenly look wrong because you’re no longer super tall

I'm surprised so few people play elezen especially female. I see and understand the appeal to female miqo'tes but if you ask me female elezen are the most attractive. Neck thing didn't really notice/bother me and if you take the height slider all the way down they're honestly not too tall.
It's not too bad, but then again, I think in a fantasy game where Elves are usually the biggest offender, Miqo'tes are a breath of fresh air when it comes to character options
I think female Elezen can be pretty beautiful (I LOVE Eline Roaille's look for example) but their bust placement kinda bothers me a little, it just looks a little too low. And the long neck doesn't help with these proportions either. But I like them a lot better than the cuter anime girls as well! I also like the overall concept of kinda weird Elves compared to the stale perfect elves we get in every other media.
@@shironerisilk Yeah she's very pretty, she's like the quiet and nerdy girl that you'd find in a library reading books all the time. And I agree so much with that statement on them not being perfect compared to most other games, books, movies etc. It's refreshing to have them have their own unique look and there's nothing really "perfect" about them like how they stereotypically are in other stuff.
I main elezen my NA account gets tons of praises and simped by lalas. My JP one is also praised tho subtle. Also we slay wearing every choker. Having more glam options
Doesn't matter if the game has 20gazillion customization options long as I can make something I find attractive with the options I have, and I can, for every single race, so I'm good. Watching my friends play, the more options they have the more they remake and spend months in creation instead of actually playing - so more isn't always better ;)
Me too. The males aren't so bad but the female models desperately need some tweaks. Not even the neck, it's the shoulders that bother me. They're way too broad for their otherwise slender frame.

I really, REALLY wanted to play Elezen dude when I first started the game. I did, for a while. But the way they stand, their anatomy, their animations... I just, i couldn't get past it. The neck isn't even the worst for me lol. Just everything about how they move and stand, and THEN how EVRYTHING is so LONG. The are an airheads extended. And thus, I am now a Miqo'te.

Imma be honest, I'd likely keep swapping into an elezen every now and then if not for the fact that I like my character's looks and I'm not going to pay for a second fantasia after a week. Come to think about it, they really should make a limited-time fantasia, f.e. changing you for a week and immidiately turning back to previous looks after time goes out.

Ah... Elezen... the race i keep fantasiaing into only to go back because Elezen characters come in only two forms and there is no in between. If the glam doesnt achieve making them look fantastic then they look like hot garbage. Ive yet to figure out how to make mine look fantastic.
Since the lalafell video was released not too long ago, I’d like to curse everyone with the knowledge fem Lalas share a voice with fem elezen. Is it surprising customizable characters might share a voice or two with other races? No. Is it cursed to know your tall, elegant elf character has the same voice as the potatoes? Probably
I’d go Elezen but that stupid run just kills it for me, no glamour can make up for that when they look like they have a vague idea on how to run and are just winging it.
Nearly every race has some kinda strange if not horrid animation of some kind, we can only cope to get better ones later on down the line (without the use of forbidden tools)

Ah... Elezen... the race i keep fantasiaing into only to go back because Elezen characters come in only two forms and there is no in between. If the glam doesnt achieve making them look fantastic then they look like hot garbage. Ive yet to figure out how to make mine look fantastic.

Is it surprising customizable characters might share a voice or two with other races? No. Is it cursed to know your tall, elegant elf character has the same voice as the potatoes? Probably

I’d go Elezen but that stupid run just kills it for me, no glamour can make up for that when they look like they have a vague idea on how to run and are just winging it.
Nearly every race has some kinda strange if not horrid animation of some kind, we can only cope to get better ones later on down the line (without the use of forbidden tools)
