I thought penny roll pointing was where you flush point and then ‘score’ the lime mortar? How do you get the white colour into the scoring / recess? Or is this tuck pointing?

Beautiful, but it's a shame about the plastic windows. Not sure the owner made the right decision there. Weighted and wood is the best option - this house deserves it.
