John got me hooked onto chess videos on TH-cam and that rabbit hole led me to you! You both are the peak of calmly delivered, but extremely gripping chess content!
Now we just need that rabbit hole to extend to Andras Tooth as well. I feel if John and Eric are up your ally, then Tooth fits as well, and currently his channel is way behind the amount of views and subscribers it should be. So many good lessons on the fundamentals of chess and how it should be played, lots of content aimed specifically at us "adult improvers".
Eric, we can't say it enough. Where other chess players have fans, you have a die-hard legion of admirers. For the same reason we admire Ding, we adore your dry wit together with a humble approach. By george, we need more like you. Best of luck in your next tournament.

I just watched your old content on the Ponziani, back when you had all those Twitchy chat crap all over the screen, and someone asked you about how you get out from under a bad losing streak and you said just find a noob to beat, maybe it builds your confidence back. I was snickering all through the third game.

(The computer evaluation has very little to do with whether a human player would actually win this position.) Making the resignation even stranger is that White only took a few seconds for it...what's the rush?

I find it odd that games that don't finish within the tournament time don't count for the tournament. I would've though that any game in play at the time of the tournament ending would be allow to complete and to count. Strange rule.
