    The chess is astounding as always, but I just had a moment where the title was perfectly cut off to say "SLAYING GRANDMA" and I'm not letting that observation go without telling anyone. Thank you Eric for the amazing video (and video title)!

    Just the other day I was watching one of your Tilted Tuesday video and you were struggling a bit (which is perfectly normal and understandable, considering the terrifying competion) and I thought "how nice would it be if Eric uploaded one of these and opened it saying something like "one of my best Titled Tuesday".
    So... Eric Rosen, chessmaster, content creator and... mind reader, as well? :-)
    In all seriousness, thank you for the great content and keep up the good work man!

    Eric, I think I know why many people love to watch you teach and compete and why many want to see you become a GM someday. It’s because of your genuine calm, kind, curious, and healthy mindset. I think many people recognize how powerful these traits can be, and they believe that one does not have to be aggressive, loud, or bombastic to chase true mastery of a game like chess. Add to that your persistence to play moves and openings for the sake of their fun, and your pure love for the game and love of learning through a growth and performance mindset can be bulletproof.

    From a practical standpoint, if Rustemov had sacked his Queen for the Bishop, he would have probably won on time (I think). Because Rxb2, Rxf7 and even though white has a Queen for a rook and a knight, with only 5 seconds on the clock I am doubtful white is able to convert.

    33:31 I expected Eric to play *34...Qd3,* getting his piece back and clearing the way for *...b1=Q.* I don't think that works because in the end White still has the a6-passer. However: what about *34...Ba6* ? This eliminates the a6-pawn and thus threatens to capture on d3. If *35.Ba6* b1=Q* and Black has a queen vs. two minor pieces.

    9:15 I stuggle with the French A LOT playing chess, until i tryed to learn some nice trappy line against it, and i discovered the MILNER-BARRY GAMBIT!!! And actually i never lost again agaist the french (i'm not even kidding) it's so powerful! And even if your opponent knows all the theory you still end up with a nice attack! I suggest to everybody who struggles with the french to give it a try!

  • @SaintD382
    @SaintD382 ปีที่แล้ว

    56:34 Eric considers ...Qd6, hanging the queen. Does not see the knight for TWENTY SECONDS and almost makes the move at 56:54. At this point I realized Eric must be very tired.

  • @andrassomodi5047
    @andrassomodi5047 ปีที่แล้ว

    47:30 "I am threatening to take take take take, and then take take take" which sounds pretty manacing if we want to be honest.

  • @b2bgchannel510
    @b2bgchannel510 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Eric at 33:28, why couldn't you sac the queen for the bishop and then promote the pawn next move? Sorry if I'm missing something.

    • @Gush27
      @Gush27 ปีที่แล้ว

      Still down a piece

    • @SaintD382
      @SaintD382 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After *34...Qd3* the piece count is even. If then *35.Nd3 b1=Q 36.Qd8+ Kg7 37.Qc8 Qd3* the piece count is once again even. So I don't think the problem is that Black is down a piece: I think the problem is that, even after Black re-establishes material parity, White still has an unstoppable passer on a6. This, I believe, is why the queen sac line doesn't work. Good try though!

    1:12:15 maybe the back end keeps track of time to the 1000ths or more but the front end only displays to the 10ths
    So for example you could have got down to 0.001s and got returned to 1.001s but it was displayed as 1.0s
