Hi guys! I really like the positive energy and genuineness you have in all of your videos. Sorry for all the comments about Kosovo, you are not obliged to know Serbian history and political situation to make videos about Serbia. Kosovo is a big topic and a problem for us and this is why so many people are mentioning it. For places you could visit, I recommend Novi Sad and Subotica as city visits. For nature, I think western or southern Serbia is the best option
Thanks a lot for sharing! Yeah it seems like a really hot topic, but as you said we don’t know to much about the backstory and history on these topics so we don’t want to take a position on these kinds of Topics. We just want to enjoy the country for ourselves and give our honest travel experience!
You are too kind. Travellers HAVE to learn a bit about the history and culture of the place they are visiting. Next time these two souls go to KSA and kiss on the street , or go to Sicily and mock mafia. Ignorance is not defence.
There's no "Kosovo". It's occupied territory of Serbia. If it wasn't occupied by NATO, terrorists, drug and organ traffickers, it would be more developed. All in due time.
But then how would Americans buy our natural resources, telecommunications, etc. Yeah, they also made a military base even we didn't want to participate in dispute between them and Russia and China. It's exactly what they are doing in Ukraine right now. That is their way of helping. I also started to doubt that Americans and Russians play together and on surface pretending to be enemies. We let those ungrateful Albanians in our territory so they can educate themselves and what we get as thanks? Knife in the back. They are like Bulgarians. Just NATO/USA didn't have any right to involve on our land, let alone bombarding and killing civilians, destroying non-military buildings and other stuff they did. Like cluster bombs that are still existing somewhere, and Nuclear waste too. Also, cluster bombs are forbidden in wars, if I heard correctly? But it's obvious that rules don't mean shit to them. Did anyone pay us for all the dead civilians, bridges, buildings that they kill and destroy? I don't think so. But they know to call us a genocidal nation. Imagine, the USA calling someone genocidal. That is the most ironic and funny at the same time. Americans, did you forget what you did to real Americans? Also, where are they? In the cage you call reservations? Disgusting!
And I have to correct you that Kosovo is not a country, but a territory under the protectorate of the NATO pact, a territory that was forcibly taken from Serbia and where international law was not respected. When you mention Kosovo, it is important that you say "southern province of the Republic of Serbia"👍
@@dragandragan04 It would be great if it is temporary, but I doubt that. Vučić gave Kosovo and sold half Serbia. We are so in debt that our grand grandchildren might not be able to return half of it in that period of time. I just hope that with some miracle we can return Kosovo back, but even then it's polluted from the nuclear waste those morons throw onto our land. Not just in Kosovo, even in Serbia. Not to mention cluster bombs that are forbidden in the wars. Just see statistics how much cancer patients grew from the war until today and see percentage before the war. It will need at least 70 more years to be livable like before. But NATO/USA already accomplished their goal. They build military base, bought natural resources and telecommunications. Now, their new target is our neighbor Ukraine. How can Ukraine be so naive to think Americans are helping them? Are they also brainless like our people today? Now Ukraine is in Europe, but before it wasn't and still western Europeans are thinking how superior they are from Eastern Europe. Russia was stupid for not keeping Eastern Europe in their domain after the WW2.
A couple of explanations - those buildings with Serbian flags are ministery and governmental buildings, so it's normal that they all have Serbian flags at the entrence. And the other building that you called "military advertisment" is the building that was destroyed during the bombing of Serbia by NATO....that's why it has that illustration on it.
That statue that you showed - at that time, when he ruled, the Serbian capital was in Kosovo and at that time there were no Albanians there, only Serbs. So Kosovo has been and IS still Serbia.

Consider that Serbia was among the four nations in the world to have had their own airplanes first, or perhaps the second in the whole of Europe to have had an AC power plant, etc. Also, 800 years ago, Serbia was the first nation that, by royal decree, abolished slavery, and any slave appearing on the Serbian border was to be given land and become a free person. ...and that city you are walking in, my dear friend, was destroyed and rebuilt 54 times throughout its own history. it is first nation in the world tp have their own planes !! Educate yourself this is sp stupid!! You GUYS got to learn a lot!! Serbia is 8th country in the Balkan for poverty that explain everytthing!! O OH MY GOD PEOPLE!!
@rosanamorrow9114 The Serbian state was among the first 10 countries in the world to develop its own aircraft production. Originally, only the parts produced in foreign factories were assembled, but very soon, the production of domestic components began, as did the engineering. The forerunner of the domestic aircraft industry was the Airplane Workshop (Aeroplanska radionica), which was established in 1920 at the airfield in Novi Sad. The trial series of Hansa-Brandenburg C.I. was assembled. The series was named SBr, as this type of plane was known in Serbia as srednji Brandenburg ("middle Brandenburg"). From 1923 to 1941, there were seven aircraft factories in Serbia, four of which were located in the capital, Belgrade, and two airplane engine factories. Also, some planes were produced in aircraft workshops, aero clubs, and private workshops. There were also factories for aircraft equipment and workshops for the repairs and overhauls of aircraft, engines, and components. A significant boost to the industry was a decision by the state in 1926 to acquire over 800 fighters and several hundred trainers and school planes. Additional foreign licenses were obtained. P.S. Please learn to write English first before replying.
@@rosanamorrow9114 He did not say first country to have planes, read again! Actually Serbia was among the first in the world. 1912 I belive their air force started buying planes. And where on earth did you get the info that Serbia is 8th on poverty in Balkan? There are like 8-9 countries in Balkans (depend on how you count) and I belive Serbia is on top 2-3.

Beauty of anything is in the eyes of the beholder which means it can change from person to person. Great that you like Belgrade but only one correction, Kosovo and Metohija is the province of Serbia, not a country. Currently it is in the hands of criminals and drug and organ traffickers but will be freed and will prosper as well as the rest of Serbia.
The Italian greeting ciao comes from an ancient greeting in Venetian dialect - s’ciavo, literally ‘slave’ (implying ‘I’m your slave’). A more recognizable version today might be ‘Your humble servant’. In Serbia it has adopted as informal greeting. In non formal occasions. German version I think is Servus.
We say that buildings are not real representative fact about growing of state, most of those in BW are residential, but investment in domestic economy, opening new domestic companies, investment in infrastructure is something that promise development, this what they do is just propaganda and laundering of their dirty money stolen from ppl! Betting buildings, banks, apothecaries, night clubs, Chinese stores, Cheap stores as Sunce & Aman, are representativies of poverty of nation!
The media generally creates a wrong image of some nations and countries, because of politics, the reality is quite different. And the average salary in Belgrade is over 1000 euros, 1100 something like that... The prices of square meters in BW are from 3,500 to 9,000 euros per square meter. As for other cities you can visit, there is Novi Sad, the second largest city, which has an Austro-Hungarian and Central European vibe, or Niš, the third largest city, which is more Balkan and was part of the Ottoman Empire in the past. Zlatibor as the largest tourist place in Serbia, Mokra Gora tourist village. Subotica center of art nouveau architecture in Serbia. etc,etc Serbia has gone through a difficult period in the last 30 years of wars, sanctions, and isolation, and despite all that, today it is developing rapidly, but there is still a lot that needs to be done.
Even so, the saddest thing reveals behind the fact you stated - with such prices and average salaries (which are also slightly pumped up too), how hard and how long would it take to pay out for a new-built condo in Belgrade? Discrepancies are so huge, many people in Serbia cannot afford it. It is not a secret too that payment is going by cash flow.
We are so proud of our 'Two-Headed Eagle' insignia that's inherited from the Byzantium (Eastern Roman) Empire which decorates our flag - one of the most beautiful flags in the world!
Visit Ada Ciganlia, an artificial lake which is surrounded by a huge park with many great places. The beach can accommodate over 100.000 people, and people spend time there all over the year...
The buildings where you showed the flags belong to the Government of Serbia, many ministries are located there, so it is normal that the flags are on those buildings. Across the road is a building with a large poster of the Serbian Army, it belongs to the General Staff of the Serbian Army, which was bombed by NATO in 1999, so that poster covers the ruins. Also, according to the Serbian constitution and the United Nations statute, Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia, the southern province of the country where you are. I wish you all the best and recommend that you visit Novi Sad, Sremski Karlovci, Sombor and Subotica in the north of the country, in Vojvodina, and visit Nis, Pirot, Stara planina in the south. Eastern and western Serbia are also very beautiful.

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has released the 2023 annual average salary per employee, which amounts to RSD 1,423,188 (approx. EUR 12,160). So, around 1000 eur per month, albeit many have less than that if they work for the state company or in govt. offices. School teachers and professors, librarians and so on, make around 800 eur. per month. In Belgrade, average salary is highest, and it is around 1300 eur. But, again, teachers, professors make same as in Serbia everywhere, around 800. In some other parts of Serbia, average pay is way less than 800. So, that is a big issue here. Big cities like Belgrade and Novi Sad boost that statistics, while most of the country is struggling.
These are state institutions. The place where you saw the most flags is the building of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Where you saw the military advertisement and flags is the General Staff building that was bombed in 1999 and left as a reminder of what happened.
Official average monthly net salary, for August 2024, was 95804 RSD for entire Serbia, 121353 RSD for Belgrade region, but those central municipalities like Stari grad (where the fortress is) had 174043 RSD and Vracar 162932 RSD (where is St Sava temple). One euro is around 117-118 RSD. Official as what is reported for tax purpose, but a lot of people are receiving part of salary in cash, so average is higher. Average is also, average, as combines directors with high salaries and some people who are on minimal wage. Medial salary was around 76000 RSD for Serbia. What people tend to do is to met with friends in cafes or taverns, have maybe 2 coffees or 2-3 bears and stay for 3-4 hours. It is not daily occurrence. Apartments tend to cost around 2000-2500 euros per square meter. If you compare with average salary and Berlin, Belgrade is twice as expensive as Berlin. It is expanding economy with influx of new buyers from Ukraine and Russia. Also, Serbian law, dictate that every governmental or public building must have Serbian flag. You were walking in part of city where those are concentrate.
better to skip talk about politics here since to know more about situation on these lands it's mandatory to know history because it is utmostly complex, maybe the most complex place on the Earth when it comes to politics and history. I would recommend visiting Novi Sad wich can be reached via a 30min train called SOKO from Belgrade. Best way to go back is by taking the regio train so you can stop at Sremski Karlovci (about 10min from Novi Sad), wich is located on the same route you took to Novi Sad (The SOKO train just doesnt stop at that station). And then you can go back to belgrade with the same regio train.
@zingwibrothers Definitely gotta visit the town center, aswell as the upper and lower fortress. If the weather is really good, visiting the Strand beach is also a good idea. The Synagogue is also worth a visit. You also have a couple of museums in the center. And if you should get bored, and don't have anything left to do, you can visit the Promenada Mall.
The average salary in Belgrade is about 1000e. Many people do not work from 9-5. For 30k you cannot buy a garage for a car in Belgrade on the water that has existed for 5 years. Many parts of the city are quite beautiful
When talking about other countries, ask a little so as not to offend the hosts. Already in the first minute of your video, you insulted the country you are in and about which you are talking. Kosovo and Metohija is part of Serbia. If it is not for you, it is for the Serbs. If you came to Serbia, then respect your host. It can be seen that you are good guys and that you have no bad intentions, but what you said is very offensive to a large number of Serbs. A particular problem is the country you come from and our memory of what your ancestors did in these areas.
I am surprised that nobody explained you those ruined buildings covered by a huge poster which you call "military advertisement". Those buildings were indeed the general military headquarters of the country (something like the "Pentagon" in USA), and they have been bombed by NATO in 1999. Afterwards, they were never renovated (so far), but still stand ruined in the city center as some kind of monument and keep memories of the NATO aggression.

Balkan will not be good place for living until every state prospers. Happy that you had a nice time in Serbia.
Not many Serbs live in centre of Belgrade cuz it's more of an historical site, we live in neighborhoods 10-50 mins of bus drive away from centre and there's where you will find modern and new buildings (Not counting New Belgrade and Waterfront). People usually miss those cuz our city is literally in a massive forest, as an example: ustanicka street has like 10+ parks and in each park you have 2-4 rows of building blocks, 3-4 shopping malls and just too many different types of restaurants and caffes but from the street you don't actually see anything because of trees or like old buildings that are ALWAYS in front of new ones lol that's why I like to encourage foreigners to explore you'll always find something interesting to see. My tourist suggestions are Eastern City Gate (Konjarnik Neighborhood near beo shopping mall), Cerak (Weird Cool Buildings), Vidikovac (Weird Brutalistic Buildings), Neighboorhood around St Mark's Church (gotta see it) and oh almost forgot Sumice it's literally a beautiful massive park with a really great 'forest restaurant and caffe' you can grab a quality drink there and suprisingly good pizza (Italian style not American tho). Still I highly reccomend getting 'lost on purpose, so no google no maps you literally just get on a bus and end up somewhere random lol. For some reason images we all see on google really suck tbh.

In Belgrade there are no big price differences betwen lux and regular restaurants, those top restaurants can be maybe 20% more expensive but that is max. In general service and food is the best in restaurants with tradition and where you see many locals going. Those lux restaurants more play on the "looks" than actual quality food/service. That "random" building you pointed at 7:28 was actually beautiful pre-ww2 era building, but it was bombed in ww2 so communists after the war just rebuilt it to be like this. And in the next few months they will demolish it and rebuild it as it was before ww2, it will be cultural building with theaters and other stuff. Original buildinf was designes by architect Korunović in unique Serbo-Byzantine style, and it will be complete replica of that building. It is also part of Belgrade Waterfront project.

Yeah I agree, west and south Serbia has amazing nature and is always worth seeing.
Kosovo is hart of serbian nation!!!
@@zingwibrothersWill you visit Montenegro?
Disgusting!

When you mention Kosovo, it is important that you say "southern province of the Republic of Serbia"👍
Well explained but I thinl it is better to say it is temporarely occupied teritory.
Occupied teritory...

The most destroyed and rebuilt city in the entire world. Imagine if that city had somehow avoided, say, 10 destructions, what it might look like?

@rosanamorrow9114
The Serbian state was among the first 10 countries in the world to develop its own aircraft production.

Betting buildings, banks, apothecaries, night clubs, Chinese stores, Cheap stores as Sunce & Aman, are representativies of poverty of nation!

Perhaps the explanation for so many flags is that September 15 was the National Unity and Flag Day?
Maybe that explains !!

I, literally, do not know a person who want to emigrate . Except higher skilled workers who could earn more money during a season , and came back.
That's why we need workers from India area , no workers left 😢.
@@zingwibrothers The Balkan peoples love populism and do not understand economic processes. The most important and largest trading partner of Serbia is Germany, than rest of the EU, while Russia, China and the rest of the world together are slightly smaller trading partners. p.s. Also, the Balkan peoples are financially illiterate, here a part of the people still despise banks, and almost no one invests in the stock market, maybe only 2%.
Big cities like Belgrade and Novi Sad boost that statistics, while most of the country is struggling.
real estate are expensive in Belgrade, starting from euros 2k/m2 in the suburbs, Waterfront is 5k-8k/m2

💪🏼
The average salary in Belgrade is somewhere about 800-900 euro per month in the year 2024.
If you work in retail.
Thanks for sharing!
U pravu si. Sa sve privatnim kompanijama a ostatak je beda.Zamisli prosek 900eur,žalosno.
To je lazni prosek ..medijalna plata u Beogradu je 620-640e to znaci da preko 50 posto ljudi radi za tu platu
As for visiting, I would suggest these cities for sure: Novi Sad, Sombor, Subotica, Vrbas, Vrsac, Nis, Negotin, Valjevo (there you have a lot of nature and science center), Apatin (especially ''ribarske veceri'' at summer, total Vojvodina experience), Leskovac, Sremski Karlovci, Loznica. ~ have a nice time in Serbia ^^ Све најбоље!
I can't believe it's more developed than the United States.
Kosovo is not a country
I would recommend visiting Novi Sad wich can be reached via a 30min train called SOKO from Belgrade. Best way to go back is by taking the regio train so you can stop at Sremski Karlovci (about 10min from Novi Sad), wich is located on the same route you took to Novi Sad (The SOKO train just doesnt stop at that station). And then you can go back to belgrade with the same regio train.
Thanks for the Tip! We defiantly want to Visit Novi Sad, what is the best thing to do in Novi Sad?
@zingwibrothers Definitely gotta visit the town center, aswell as the upper and lower fortress. If the weather is really good, visiting the Strand beach is also a good idea. The Synagogue is also worth a visit. You also have a couple of museums in the center. And if you should get bored, and don't have anything left to do, you can visit the Promenada Mall.
2:31 actually, they have slowed down the tempo. Now they work 12 hours 5 days in a week and few years ago it was 24 hours 7 days in a week.
2:06 the price is 5-10k€/sqm, depending on the building
Flags on the building of Government? What's unusual? That's where our Ministry is. Multiple buildings.
Ah okay we didn’t know that! Thank you!
Germans do not have shame as usual
Its funny, your are talking about german cars and audi... and in the background drove a Mercedes Mayback SUV :D
They everywhere here 😂
The flags change every week depending on which leader is coming to Serbia. I've seen Egypt, China, France, Russia, Lesotho...
I like the city centar more than the Waterfront❗️
Average pay is around 400€.Some jobs pays more depending on company and type of work.Criminal rate is way less than some more developed countries in the world.Hospitality is well spread.People would welcome you into your house with open hands and it's a custom to invite people to join them during meals.
This city condos look like in bangkok 😂 greetings from thailand
True haha same Condo style!
Serbia is on a positive upstream trajectory, it’s the next big thing. If you are thinking of a country to invest in around Europe area etc I personally suggest you look no other than Serbia. Please pin this comment I’ll come back here in 25 years to attest to this! P.S I’m not Serbian but I visited the country this year.

Visit western Serbia. Čačak, Ovčar Banja, Užice, Tara, Bajina Bašta, Zlatibor, Divčibare, Valjevo
There is a LOT MORE to be done in Serbia in terms of development, ecology, and quality of life. I hope that our neighbors in Albania, North Macedonia and elsewhere will develop as well, so that the whole Balkan can live in prosperity and peace.
TRUE

Average income in Belgrade is € 800. B u t lots of Belgrade people are self-employed owning small businesses they have about € 2000 plus if they are somewhat good in they’re job
If there is a Hilton, then you are in a safe area.
True 😂
😊 9:28 you are walking down the part of the city in which most of the government buildings are and they are supposed to have national flags in every country.
Hello guys! Can you please return to china and make videos from the cities of Xi'an and Chongqing, in central China after visiting serbia! Please guys! Keep the videos up! 🎉
Smoking, coffe, and sitting down in caffe is the WAY. Balkan people are KINGS when it comes to coffe. You cannot have coffe without cigaretts. Like hamburger without bread..
