Συμβασιλεύουσα (Symvasilevusa), was how Thessaloniki was called from the Byzantine era up to WWII, being the "runner up" to Constantinople as the empires capital and the second most important city through the years. This changed to "co-capital" gradually along with the establishment of the republic. Not something that a greek with a vague interest in history, would not know even if she/he researched wikipedia. Oh and another thing, bugatsa Yannis? Really?
You mean the only co-capital in the world that is not actually a co-capital... There are real co-capitals in the world, South Africa for example has three.
