Her movements are really indesribable, a dream like dance...no vocabulary has yet been invented to describe such a phenomenon as Peggy Fleming...I am sooo glad I have lived in her time... If you don't love her, I don't want to know you.
She still takes my breath away all these years later and Pachelbel Canon in D is so deserving of her artistry …a beautiful piece of music. She once said ‘figure skating is not all about jumps and turns’ and her grace, beauty and elegance proves how right she was….I still get goosebumps watching her.
I met her many years ago. Not only is she the most exquisite skater, but one of the most naturally classical beauties I’ve ever seen, and she is lovely.
No program promos, cut-ins, station watermarks, updates to other events, wholly unnecessary commentary, board advertising -- just flawless, beautiful, woman, routine, and music. Almost made me cry.
WOW! Peggy makes the skaters nowadays look like vicious, obese bullies on ice. The ice skaters today look mechanical and all they do is just jump around on ice. Peggy is graceful, like a ballerina, seductive and artful. Peggy is the greatest ice skater my eyes will ever see, and that is my opinion.
I always get bored watching skaters compete today. This is a different level. She didn’t have the technology figure skates do now and she’s floating like a fairy with less ankle support than rental skates! I would love to watch a skater from today wear the same skates and have such an effortless and airy performance.
