Sure wish she were in charge of everything! I think she's brilliant and downright amazing, what a mind she has. Wish more people would listen to what she has to say.

Naomi Klein deserves more respect. I love that she brought up the giant dead spots in the Gulf of Mexico that are due to all the agricultural runoff of pesticides and herbicides, sprayed on crops in both GMO and conventional farming, that wash into the Ohio, Missouri, and Mississippi rivers and flow down into the Gulf.

18:16 We don't need to come up with a "new" ideology to replace the old one....we just need to dump the old one. period.

And only one presidential candidate has the balls to do anything about it. Bernie Sanders, the Socialist!

Oh, and as for visions of the future, she should check out the new economics foundation (nef) of the UK, and the various European Green parties :)

So why don't the Canadians build a pipeline to the East? Do Manitoba and Saskatchewan object?

The majority of the Canadian population lives East of Alberta (Ontario, and Quebec mostly) and they object and are putting up stiff resistance. Of course they could go through the Hudson Bay but I guess it is too hard to build across all the lakes and melting permafrost.

Greg Leblanc Thanks, Greg, I'm not clear on Canadian geography, but doesn't Canada have a port on Lake Superior? I'm sure it couldn't take supertankers, but still...

As far I know the St. Lawrence Seaway couldn't fit them through.

Greg Leblanc I imagine we'll see supertankers in the Northwest Passage, if global warming continues.
