- Halo 5 didn't receive a Series X update but with Xbox Auto HDR. We can make this look better. I hope
I mean it does have some good scenes. The intro for the game is still great, blue team clearing out elites from the moon base. The Sanghelios cutscene and my personal favourite when Roland spoke up.

Chief should be towering above every Spartan after the events of Halo 4
He’s average height for a Spartan-II (Jorge from Halo Reach is the tallest II). He should be taller than the IVs though.

Agreed, the Librarian gave him a Genesong that would allow him to fight the Didact, he grew nearly 3 meters, taller than any Spartan of his generation.

@@crazytot10 yep, a lot of people don't seem to notice that Chief is pulling his punches until Locke cracks his visor. If Chief wanted he could have snapped Locke like a twig, but since those ODSTs he didn't hold back on back in training he is careful with his fellow soldiers, even if they are hunting him.

There is quite the amount missing although we are slowly and steadily getting more in between games. We have a few books, which I know not many read, and halo wars 2. I know many aren't a big fan of context being on books and not games but at this point in the halo universe, there's so much going on that it would not fit into a game. I personally think people should have let things play out instead of pressuring 343 to make things more classic.
In the end I like halo and everything it has to offer, I'm not one of those people who hates on everything just because it's different, hell my favorite enemies are the prometheans.

For all of the mistakes with 5 I actually enjoyed the Sanghelios missons quite a bit.

The way they promoted this game it really could've been a special campaign that separated it from the other games they could've released a full campaign from lockes perspective really committing to Chief being the villain with a cliffhanger ending where he catches up to chief then a week atleast after release gave us a second campaign from chiefs perspective where we get all of the answers and the real ending of the campaign. They did spartan ops so it's something they really could've done

Who is the Spartan that tries to stand in between chief and Cortana right before she locks them all away? Love how just by taking a few steps before chief grabs their arm, it tells a whole story in just a moment. They were like “chief is compromised by his relationship with Cortana I need to create some space between them NOW.” And then chief grabs their arm to say “I know she’s dangerous but I got this.” All that conveyed without a word.

For some reason I just really feel that halo 5 is a complete different story, as you really don't get what's it trying to depict after playing halo 4.
I mean even the cut scenes are scripted differently, fast camera movement and loads of long action scenes. Meanwhile the cutscenes in 4 and before are much more carefully paced and have a certain gravitas to them.

This game is so good. I miss this storyline. Of course Cortana is a megalomaniac. Its obvious that once she has her emotions uninhibited by AI protocol, she would act like Halsey--indifferent to her humanity in pursuit of the higher goal of evolving humanity to the next step. The community rejected this game because their virtual girlfriend told them no and they couldn't handle it.
Mate the first cutscene featuring the spartans in H5 looks more like a toy commercial than Halo.

I like these characters, I just wish they had more time to develop, had been referred to in a book before or something. They shouldn’t have been equals to master chief immediately.

I like moments where the writers have to actually think and know more about the world than the viewer. Like when those Elites get sucked out the window of the spaceship, first they had to maintain the reality of depressurizing in space, while incorporating a particular functionality (that makes sense) on a vessel. The viewers mind is on the action, and those added layers lend SO MUCH to the suspension of disbelief...
For a Huge Halo Fan like me here I have to Say in my own opinion that there are two things I wanted to Comment on and I know that not everyone is going to agree with me on that that and that I am ok with.
1: The Opening Scene seeing Fireteam Osiris first time really put all into action is so great and the Music they Chose for it is amazing and I love got to say it couldn’t be better and “it is probably hands down one of top three best Scenes ever ever made in all the Halo Games right now up to the point of the season storylines in Halo Infinite”.
2:The Fight Scene Between Jameson Locke and John 117 aka the Master Chief I think personally that Jameson Locke Should’ve won because he is Spartan IV compared to the Master Chief A Spartan II who has better Augmentations and been around longer and Locke had more opportunities than 117 and was working for ONI like 117 but had the Advantages in the Fight.

It would've inevitably cost a bunch of human lives, rendering this entire quote nonsensical. I really don't buy the whole "Halsey is actually an awful person" take that 343 tried so hard to push. It just doesn't ring true to me. I think 343 got a little too carried away trying to introduce new avenues for conflict after Bungie wrapped up the central conflicts of the initial trilogy with the destruction of the Flood and dissolution of the Covenant. This is the biggest reason their games feel so disjointed and meandering, IMO. They were never truly confident in charting a new direction for the franchise after 3, and it shows.

Being regretful or ashamed about developing the weapons that ultimately saved humanity just doesn't make a lot of sense. This is one of those rare situations where the ends really did justify the means, and the needs of the many justifiably took precedence over the normal childhoods of the few. And yes, all of this is still true despite the fact that the Spartan program was only initially commissioned to quell human rebellion.
@@alexcallender and likewise, Cortana feels justified in pursuing whatever means she believes necessary. Less than half of those kids actually survived augmentation without debilitating injuries. They could have easily all died and Halsey would have been seen very differently. The point is, the same thread of self assured sociopathic "I know what's best for these people's lives" runs through both of them. They are, of course, the same mind.

I feel like throughout the years, there's been a lot of talk about how the fight between Locke and Chief was not lore accurate and that Chief should have destroyed Locke. Quite frankly, rewatching it now, he did. I feel like people just overreacted to Locke cracking Chief's visor. Like, at no point was Locke in control of the fight. Chief was literally tossing him around with the exception of a few sucker punches. Like, no matter how much people disliked Locke, this was still a Spartan vs Spartan fight. Chief being a jack of all trades and not the most powerful Spartan of his generation is still going up against a veteran ONI agent that survived the war with the Covenant as a regular human now turned Spartan IV with an updated and possibly better enhancements.
If only one man can sit the mantle of responsibility for all of things and called the emperor, but in the reality right now will make it happen. until the day will comes we're all Shall be One

This game is definitely not the greatest at being a halo game but I’ll admit it used to be a guilty pleasure of mine to play the campaign. Now that I’m a bit more invested in the halo law this game did feel out of place/poorly executed. Still love the dialog and voice acting
Agreed. I had fun when it first came out but now that I’m older I’ve come to understand the flaws with this story. I find the multiplayer to be absolutely amazing though idc what everyone else says
It would have been better as a spin off that focused on Locke and Buck hunting Chief. Almost an ODST 2. A proper Halo 5 could have followed afterwards, more closely continuing the story of Halo 4.

I love Halo, Halo 4 story was good. Then Halo 5 story seems like a completely different story. 343 made books and comics in between the games. Not everyone reads them.
Halo 5 had a lot of downfalls, but so many things could’ve made this game great. The armor boosters were awesome additions, the Sanghelios mission was awesome, but they pushed too hard for a cash grab and didn’t focus on the story and gameplay hard enough.

Chief’s armor looked so fucking good in Halo 4 & 5. I agree with the popular opinion that he looks better in the Bungie games, but that has more to do with the fact that those original designs were a part of the original vision for Halo, and less to do with the objective quality of his Halo 4/5 design. On its own, it’s marvelous to behold. I wholeheartedly reject the rhetoric that suggests he looks like shit purely because he looks different. That sort of thinking is silly asf.
