There is a reason why Ray was booked to give commentary on 3 games in 36 hours; he is damn good on the mic!

Ray is so good. Easily one of if not the best in the business.

Man, Ray's personal stories are more entertaining than when they actually talked about the Canucks. 😂

After the 1st period, the Canucks played like they were on all of those flights with Ferroro for those 36 hours.

I like how after all these years Ray's theme song on Donny's show is still Brass Bonanza

I don't know much, but I hate a few of takeaways from that game: 1. It's only one game. But I'm paying attention. The game itself went like a late term Boudreau affair. 2. Arturs Silovs had an average regular season and an overrated playoff. Maybe he's not ready. I'm not saying he'll never be ready, but maybe he's being rushed a bit. At least they have Lankinen. 3. Everyone's dumping on Pettersson, who had one assist in a game where with the exception of the 1st period, the entire team pulled off a stinker and were lucky to come out of it with a point. He was hardly the worst offender. It's one game. Chill out. I'd rather they have these kinds of games early on, get points here and there to stay in it, and get it going when it matters the most.

Some of those other teams lost 6-0. This wasn't a great start for us (other than scoring some goals), but it could've been a lot worse. 😂

I wouldn't call Silovs' playoff play 'overrated'. He did damn well for only being 23 and helped keep the Canucks in games. His biggest problem was that he couldn't adjust enough to the speed of the Oilers cross ice passes but that will come in time. You're right that he's not ready yet to be a number one starter and if Demko was healthy he wouldn't be. But goaltending always has a steep learning curve and you can't learn everything from just being in the AHL. He need minutes against NHL competition to really learn what parts of his game he has to work on even if that means we have to endure some ugly games for him to do that.

Petey 'was hardly the worst offender'? The other offenders don't have $92.9 Million dollar contracts !

Jittery with the lead and Miller giving away the puck on the PP and getting scored on (3 giveaways total including one with an empty net and one in OT) is pre-Tocchet era Canucks. If that version of Miller decides to play this season, bye-bye playoffs, even if he scores 100 points. Of course it's just one game but if he turns over the puck on Friday, of course be a little worried. It's hockey PTSD and we have it for a reason. Was last season a one-off where Miller has defensive awareness? We'll find out in the next 10 games.

Didn't like that the team seemingly lost focus after the 1st period was over. Nobody looked good in the latter half of the game and it frankly looked like Huska outcoached Tocchet. As much as I love Silovs, he's given up way too many goals from the point and he wasn't able to make a timely save to stem the momentum.

Silovs is not a NHL starting goalie, said it from the start, not even .900% last year in playoffs, off to .769 save percentage this year. Lankinen needs to play until Demko returns

Zary all lone for the OT winner. Mantha in the clear for SH goal. Huberdeau parked in the crease for his goal. Screens....giveaways.... can't fault Silovs.
