Is the bracket, and the chassis member rated to take the 1800 kg. We jack our JB thru the jacking point on the suspension, as per Cruisemaster documents.
My concern is, not so much the weight capacity of the legs, but the weight capacity of the mounting points on the van, itself, and the rails they attach to….not much good having legs that can lift 1800kg, if the mounts can only cope with a fraction of that. …and the bolts! It appears you re-used the same bolts that were in the standard legs…what are their rating?
Hi there. Not sure of the bolts capacity but I have used the legs to lift the van and change a wheel with no issue at all. The legs the van and brackets are still going strong a year later. 🍻
Great until they break, I have a BOS jockey wheel, always need to carry a spare hydraulic one , the bearing get out of alignment and that fractures the plastic supports. Don't get me wrong I love my BOS jockey wheel
How are the leg's going? I'm considering these as a level for my van as I don't have airbags. Do you guy's level with these and still go inside? I'm a bit concerned about weight being taken off the wheels...... Love that Ram! You have me thinking now!🤔👍
We have air bags. We use the legs to stabilise the van and either use legs or bags to level. They are gold. The truck is great. Won't go back. Cheers for the support 🍻
Just dropped in this morning having come across your channel and was hoping to follow your channels but unfortunately the longer I watched the more it became and info channel pushing products for sponsorship and that’s not my idea. Anyway all the best for the future and hope you have a great time. As a matter of interest I went downtown in Warwick to pick something up about lunchtime today and who should be going through town but yourselves heading north. I hope you got you rig repaired after Cooper Pedy. Once again thanks and good luck
Can you explain out of the 72 vids where am I pushing products? Every thing I have I use because it works and is good and I've done my research before purchasing. If you watch the majority you will find the vids are informative. Read the comments and read what people say. I do not get paid by any one. Sorry you feel that way. Try watching Alice and beyond. The last 6 vids. Absolutely no pushing products. If not happy after that then I understand. Yeah called in to Warwick to see an old Army mate. 🍻
we only have a hybrid van but the bos stabilizers legs are one of the best improvements we've done to our van makes life so much easier when setting up camp and ground isnt that level .great vid keep them coming
@@damon9701 they are in demand. Don't let that stop you. Order them and get them to post to where ever you are. I think it's about 12 week wait. Well worth it. 🍻
So this could be put on a motorhome instead of paying them the $13K AUD the manufzcuters want for a self levelling hydraulic system? What does one miss out with this? No hydraulics to fail, no hoses to run…? Just a simple impact driver is needed and 2 mins of your time when you arrive at camp with a spirit level?
As they are stabilizer legs , not jacking points, especially the rear outer cross rails. The rear cross rail isn’t engineered for that. Would discuss with van manufacturer and have design for that ( position under main rail ) or do airbags or just level the old fashion way. $1400 for a set of 4?
AB can I ask who you are, and what is your back ground? The reason I ask is the guys at JB don't have a problem with them. I'm sure if you speak to Urgen at Boss he can give you the back ground on the legs better then I. I did a fair bit of research on theese before bying them. I have not seen 1 complaint anywhere on them. Yes I will contact the brains trust at the JB factory today and get their thoughts and respond 2 u. 🍻
In most standard builds the rear cross rail is 3 inches, sometimes is 4 inches but not as many. Mounting stabilizer brackets to main chassis rails is a better way, Bos370 sells bolt thru brackets for this. I’ve seen a very heavy off-road van chassis full off-road and they noticed the van body twisted under lifting from rear corner position, and with front leg, but connected to car, back leg is doing most of lifting. I’ve used the bos470 jockey for over 3 years, and changed over to a blackjack electric jack as the mrs can now do the job by a press of a button. Cordless drill was to high and hard for her. Basic ergonomics. Please give both sides, everything has pos and negatives.

@@JustBrilliantAdventures I have my van level right now and the existing stabilisers are 470mm from ground (front) and 550mm from ground (rear). which size should I order? thanks!

So your saying the legs on the van are no good for Stablising or lifting the van 🤔 2 years with this van, 1 with previous van no problems. Again I am about to put them on our new van as I will never go back too original flimsy legs. 🍻
@@JustBrilliantAdventures They're certainly an improvement. My other concerns are: if you upgrade to these it does alter your tare weight compared to the VIN plate & also the idea of jacking a van via the corners to perform a tyre change. Many chassis won't be built to take the weight at this point, hence the central traditional jacking point. The stabiliser is obviously made for it but is the the chassis?
@@aussie-all-the-way mate lotus and 4 other brands are selling them with their vans. So they must be up to the standard and do what they say. I know I have jaked my wheels up of the ground with them. 🍻
@@JustBrilliantAdventures please don't get me wrong. I think this product is a real game changer for the RV industry. My concerns are for retro fits not new units where the manufacturing has been matched to it. 12 yrs RV repair experience just tells me some damage could occur to those who fit them to an older van that are not manufactured to meet the excellent product you have.
Are people so lazy that they can’t turn a crank handle, would be more effort to keep a drill charged and get it out every time you want to use it, you don’t put the legs up and down 10 times a day.
Each to there own, some people with bad shoulders and arthritis like any assistance they can get not to mention in case of a flat tyre can jack the van up. Thanks for your input, people will take what they want from it.
