      I’m glad you find them helpful. Stay tough, and know that it will get easier. That’s really great that you keep trying. I’ve quit so many times before I could get to the point I am now. You can absolutely do this :)

    I started smoking the week I turned 18 because of some passive aggressive exchange with an ex, of all things. I quit about a year ago now partly because of COVID (334 days), after three years of smoking. I'm thankful a little more every day that that nightmare of wasted time and money and health is behind me now.
    Just wanted to drop by and say that Allen Carr and watching your videos everyday along with the first weeks of my quit were what kept me strong (haha well, that and a hell of a lot of lollipops). Really appreciate what you've done man, you've helped a lot of people. Glad to see you've been doing well.

    I also quit over three years ago. 11/27/17. Congratulations to you. Also, after 5 to 10 years, your health risks of heart disease and lung cancer are near a person whom never smoked. Keep making these videos as you are a great example/inspiration to follow for those just quitting or thinking about quitting. Cheers!

    Congratulations man!!! You are an inspiration. I watch your videos often as I quit often and fail. Today is my birthday so I used that as an excuse to throw away a 3 week quit, stupid I know. Anyways keep up the good work and keep posting updates if you don't mind. It definitely helps me out a lot.

    What an inspiration you are! I am about to start another quit, because like you I have relapsed a few times. After a relapse it takes a long time to get back into the quitting mindset so congratulations to you on your 3 year success. You smashed it. Always be on your guard man. Thanks for your he videos, you have inspired me.

    I’m on day 7 of withdrawals now after smoking about 3/4 packs a day after relapsing from vapes in high school (when quitting was way easier). Due to the nature of a certain shroom trip I had about 2 weeks before quitting this time (which is the reason why I’m quitting), I’ve started despising cigarettes in general. So for the most part yes, cravings lasted the first 2 days like hell but for me but, the physical effects are what’s killing me. It started with 0-2 hours of sleep per day up until now to awful weakness in my body throughout the day and that god awful headache that I can’t shrug off. My vision is getting worse by the day which I’m attributing to sleep deprivation.
    I know it may feel like hell on earth people, especially if you’re a college student like me and if you’re going through withdrawals during a challenging semester in a new college. But realistically, try quitting during a break, around people you trust and don’t push you around too much. If you’re having a more physically-breaking withdrawal like me, I highly, and I mean highly recommend vitamin vapes. There are numerous brands you can find especially on Amazon, but I personally prefer the Vita pens. Good luck everyone

    I quit Smoking in Januar for 22 days, relapsed and have been now smokefree for 14 days. Both times i saw your videos. The way you were thinking and speaking in both of your quits helped me a lot and i thank you. I hope i keep the quit now. You seem to be a nice guy and i wish you the best in live. Greetings from Berlin.

      @HealthWink  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your kind words! Congrats on making those 22 days and trying again so soon :) The biggest thing to keep in mind is that it will get easier if you can keep your quit going. 14 days is amazing. Just take it one day at a time. You can absolutely do this, and future you will be so thankful that you took care of this when you did :)

    Man, I did quit for 1,5 years but got back to it by doing 1 ciggie in the break at work. Then again did quit for 3 or 4 months but got back when I had a boring stressfull Officejob. Now I am quitting again (day 3) but I understand that I don't need to do an officejob anymore. It gets me back with bad habits, lol.

    i quit in 2016 and relapsed in July 2020 for a day. After 4 years without a single puff i relapsed and smoked 7 or 8 cigarettes. Man i felt like someone is kicking me in the throat after years of not smoking. The thing is that i immediately regrouped and tried again and now i am smoke free for 8 months. Cigarettes are crazy mannn :D

    You say it gets easier I'd say around 4 years into quitting pot I never ever had a thought about going back maybe 2 years in and 3 occassions 3 years in. But now I'm 6 years off it I've been offered pot, and I honestly told them no I use to do it. Now for tobacco I've been off 3 months just about, and I'd say if taken my personal experience was like with weed you begin to think less about it 2 months in then around 4 months in you should barely think about it I think for weed I went 2 years without a thought about it. Then my doctor said he was going to prescribe me it. I said no I've been off for I think at that time like 3 years. So yeah 6 years into quitting pot, I have no urge and I dont even think hey I can do that because I realize it's a waste of money, and it changes my personality. I've quit a lot of stuff over the years that's why tobacco is getting easier for me.

    • @HealthWink
      @HealthWink  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may find that your experience is just like when you quit pot. Don’t get discouraged if it happens a little differently. Every quit is different, and I imagine things can vary with different substances. You are ahead of the curve understanding that given enough time, you won’t even think about it anymore. Stay strong. It’s awesome that you’re taking such good control of your use of substances :)

      I’m really so happy for you. I know at this point it’s probably easier now than it’s ever been, but it’s still important to stay vigilant. You always want your resolve strong in case something triggers thoughts of the old habit.
