Then it may not connect to either phone or dongle, and I have to try several times of restarting the headset and unplugging and reinserting the dongle. The voice and sounds from button presses seem to play at random volumes. These BT headphones make a lot of pain to PC users because of BT profiles. You have to switch between them manually as Windows often fail to auto switch. And you will suffer horrible quality of Handsfree BT profile. Can't find a replacement to my old Logitech H800. It has radio dongle with excellent microphone on PC. And I can switch between Phone (BT)/PC(Radio) connections. Modern BT headphones connect to two devices simultaneously and dingle you all the time with messages...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. If you connect only with the USB Dongle to your computer and not Bluetooth as well as USB Dongle there shouldn't be any issues. Also, between Jabra Direct or your call or meeting software, there should be settings you can adjust to turn on or off notifications.
It’s bulky. A hybrid device like this super niche. This device also has too many microphones than it can handle. The processor can not manage all those mics well.
Very detailed video but I have to say, your own video proved that Sony just blew away all the competition including the very expensive Jabra Evolve2 85. Even with noise cancelling, the XM5 simply sounded better and more efficient at eliminating background noises. So if I want to put my hard-earned money on just ONE headset, it has to be the Sony.
Thanks for watching. Audio is very subjective but either model will be fine for voice calls and meetings. Before making a decision soley on mic performance, you'll want to consider other very important factors we talk about in this video here th-cam.com/video/WYXt0xqBgnU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DX5F2Ap5hn91HnEO
I had jabra evolve2, perfect form factor. hideable boom mic, so i dont look like a dork on the bus., usb-c. over ear etc. BUT, it never worked with mic noise cancelling.. a big NO NO for me in a open office and datacenter noisy environment. people said it doesnt work with ANC plus mic noise cancelling at the same time, but my mic cancellation never worked regardless.
Agreed, if mic noise cancellation is biggest priority then there's others with a better performance in that category. Unless your call or meeting software has noise cancellation built in, or you get noise cancellation software like neep.com then you can get the full benefits of this headset in environments like an open office.
The testing you did proved the Evolv85 is the worst result… - recommend working out a deal with Sony to get a commission or higher commission from selling the 1000XM5 so you don’t have to recommend the inferior product
Worse then Airpods Max? 🤔 Sony significantly improved microphone quality with the XM5 compared to the XM4, but both models remain best suited for personal audio on mobile devices. They aren't ideal for computer based work calls or meetings. At about 8:00 we talk about other nuances the Evovle2 85 offers that music headphones don't unfortunately.
it's junk - do not buy. Comfortable but build is Cheap and flimsy. My biggest complaint being they falsley advertise having side tone (mic monitoring) when it clearly does not.
I contacted jabra before about my in ear headphones from them. The problem was that with some apps, like skype, or certain browser apps I was using, the voices wouldn't be synced, but quite delayed... Their response PER MAIL, so I have it on writing: "we don't optimisme our headphones for apps that aren't the most popular ones".. Not only did they not take skype into considering, which at the time, I had to use for work. But overall other headsets works fine with other apps. And as a developer myself, I would claim that if you made your headphones correctly, then it should work on all apps, except those that are bad and on purpose didn't focus on this, but.. If Bluetooth speakers can handle it, why not the headphones? But the real issue was jabra basicly saying: "you got a problem? Ohh, it's your problem, we can't help you, you're using the wrong apps" hallo?? I'm now forced to use the specific apps they want me to use? How about they write a list of the apps it works on, and add it to the description for them :p And that's why I would never buy jabra again, and why customer service is useless, so it's better to complain online, than contacting them, because they just don't help you, they just tell you that it's your own fault, fuck you xD

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I could see that WH62 has been one of the longest wireless range headsets we’ve tested you can change the distance through the Yealink Connect app.
Yealink also released the wh64 which is the updated version headsetadvisor.com/products/yealink-wh64-dual-mode-wireless-headset?srsltid=AfmBOoqOt9AgMjwPsppGsAAhjLG0sId-7S4je5KGK7_F-9LFahQdRxjC
Were going to be releasing some new dect headsets soon so make sure your subscribed
Best feature, can use it while charging.
Definitely! Thanks for watching.
My issue in general is jabra not working properly with my Ipad OS
@@ericbaluya361 it won’t work at all or what are you experiencing? It should work with your iPad.
@@HeadsetAdvisor Its only when I am using it for a webex call.
It’s bulky. A hybrid device like this super niche. This device also has too many microphones than it can handle. The processor can not manage all those mics well.
Thanks for watching!
Intel smart sound appears to be another buggy technology that no way I can understand
We learned it causes a ton of issues for audio devices.
I have both and I agree 100%.
Jabra Engage 50 II is the best headset ever. Buy that.
Definitely a good choice to consider depending on the needs.
At about 8:00 we talk about other nuances the Evovle2 85 offers that music headphones don't unfortunately.
apple should stop making headphones
Agreed!
it's junk - do not buy. Comfortable but build is Cheap and flimsy. My biggest complaint being they falsley advertise having side tone (mic monitoring) when it clearly does not.
It is a garbage headset ...$600 of trash. Worst purchase ! Trouble shoot....lol....
How about they write a list of the apps it works on, and add it to the description for them :p
And that's why I would never buy jabra again, and why customer service is useless, so it's better to complain online, than contacting them, because they just don't help you, they just tell you that it's your own fault, fuck you xD
@@dStayingAnonymous8476 that’s strange to hear, usually we’ve found Jabra support to be a bit more helpful then that.
When connecting to your computer, did you connect via Bluetooth or with the USB dongle?
@@HeadsetAdvisor I was referring to "Jabra Elite Active 75t" that I bought years ago. So I'm sure that the evolve2 85 is a completely different headset (Over ear for one), however I just meant that I think avoiding all Jabra products would be smart, because of bad customer service and furthermore the fact that they didn't optimize their tech for apps that aren't the most popular and basic ones.. and maybe still don't, who knows, anyone wanna take that risk though? And the earbuds I used only had Bluetooth so that's what it was using :) But yea, I'm not gonna judge a different product based on my bad experience with another product, however I would certainly make sure to test if it has delay in audio on skype, and for example other web browsers than chrome before buying it.
