I love this film, it's a great story with great visuals. I love when you watch a film and get transported to a certain time or even a certain feeling within. I know this is something that most can experience. I have loved this story since I read the book and watched the mini-series with Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews. Brideshead has a very strong cast, Ben Whishaw is great as Sebastian...but Matthew Goode is absolutely beautiful as Charles Ryder....to me this is a great reason to see this film and I am happy that you chose to cover it. Thanks for the great review!
Having watched the 1981 masterpiece 3 times, I initially felt that this version was completely unnecessary. However, after watching a few reviews I'm starting to think I should see it.

Brilliant film xxxxx
I am sorry but despite the wonderful cast this does not compare to the 1981 series.
Can’t compare a movie with a series
It's also an important piece of English lit, obviously.
That movie changed every important thing in the book and series and perverted the original completely. Aweful.
too bad that they changed the story. Charles and Sebastian were lovers. They were gay at a time when it was forbidden and a crime
