Almost married a young lady who grew up on Bob White Way. Her dad owned the Sarasota Art and Auction Gallery and the Benson’s Art Gallery in my hometown (Hendersonville NC) which he operated each summer as an off-season getaway. Fortunately (for her) she went off college at Tulane and eventually married a nice young med student who became an HMO psychiatrist in northern California. We had some great times in Sarasota and New Orleans but things have a way of working out like they should.
