Certainly didn't have any troubles with the load, reminds me of what an ex-QR driver once told me about the 1720 class, if you knew how, could make them go like a scalded cat :)
What website can I go on to see what dates the train runs and what times? I know it wont be for a while but what site or if you know what date and times do they run?
@@paul1089 just a feeling. Chamber of commerce charters the shuttles, so more likely to end up with drayton or SDSR in the future I should imagine. Too many paid staff on that train now. No steam train for the Carneval of Flowers... No real reason for QR to supply crews is there.. Should've been Toowoomba crews working it as they are 1720 Qualified. Anyways, I could be just reading too much into it... but I doubt it.
These trips have always been diesel hauled for a fast turnaround. Also towards the end of the week there was a fire ban which would have prevented the use of a steam locomotive anyway.
Great video Paul, it was a pleasure bumping in to you!
Thanks Anthony.
Your welcome. I have my shuttle video up. Transfer video will be up next week.
We are good Paul Shepherd and rail town productions thank you

It was a great week, the ride I had to Spring Bluff was marred by squealing kids everytime we go through a tunnel.
How come the diesel service didn't depart from Roma Street like in the past? Could it have been to do with COVID-19?
The Spring Bluff trains have always originated from Toowoomba.
Another awesome video Paul thank you.
Also sorry to be a pain in the ass but I was wondering what editing software you use?
I edit using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 16.

It's advertised on the Queensland Rail Travel site about a month beforehand. From memory departures are 9 am and 1pm.
So who were the crew working the shuttles? Heritage or Toowoomba guys? Hope SDSR get a look in on the action next year.
The days I was out I saw Greg, Chris and another guy I've seen but don't know his name. Mick Saff and Arthur were the guards.
@@paul1089 lap it up boys... lap it up. dont see this continuing.
@@adriannettlefold9084 Why shouldn't it continue? Passengers and crew all seemed to enjoy it and it's a great PR boost for QR.

Why didn’t they use BB18 1/4 1079 for the shuttles
It is said that because of the speed restriction on tender first steam running. It wasn’t the best idea to run a steam train.
