The scene of Jinx falling while saying "Always with you, Sis.", and at the same time the song telling "Don't let me go". It makes the scene much more painful.
In the series, the lyrics said "Please let me go" for both scenes (Jinx scd and Jinx final sacrifice). But at the end of this sound, the lyric said "Don't let me go"
Reality strikes when you think that maybe they all won because our version of Ekko chooses to go back instead of staying. Seeing the paradise and choosing to face hell. That takes an insane amount of guts. A jump back in time for love.
No, it wasn't for love. Ekko loved Jinx. Or rather Powder. He could stay with someone who he loved most. He did it for the sake of comrades. Wor everything he build with them. For his pride and joy, for his Tree. Not for love but for a sense of responsibility he brought on himself when he built that community around the only tree in whole Zaun. THIS is why he came back. Because he knew they need him more than one person he loves most. And that needs a lot of f**king guts to do. He could stay in his private paradise, where he can be with Powder. He didn't, because people in The Tree needed him more. They were his responsibility, but more so, most of them were his friends. His comrades that held memories with him.

That seems to support that Jimx didn't go through with her suicide attempt with Vander and instead eacape at the last second. I think she wanted to try living for herself this time even if she will heal slow. Jinx not being in her family's life or what's left of it, is for the best. Vi and Ekko won't have ro worry over her mentality and wonder if Power or Jinx is overtaking. She's just gone in their eyes and hope they can move on in peace.

The fact that the last song of Arcane is called Wasteland and one of the lines in Arcane's first song Play Ground is "sink into the wasteland" is poetry
Jinx's mental health is well written, unlike most popular shows that show schizoaffective disorders, autism, OCD etc like some glorified disorders with super powers. Jinx character goes through the ups and downs of schizoaff, PTSD, mania etc I was afraid this song and the ending could cause a spike in self harm, please seek help if you are struggling.
i'm pretty sure you can't feel even a fraction of what she feels, people nowadays fall into depression just like that, look at what happened to Jinx, you've probably not been through even 5% of that pain
@@JustCauseFan i'm pretty sure they can, plenty feel that way and go trough with it. Every day. While i will agreee that many confuse feeling down and depression, at the end of the day every individual have different values. Some will deal with loss better, other won't. Some will handle social interactions better, other won't. And i could go on and on. Suffering is suffering, no matter the reason. That's why even is the reasons are differents, you can relate. You are not the authority on what "pain" is. Because it will be different on an individual level.
@@JustCauseFan ALL suffering is suffering, it doesnt matter the magnitude of it. Everyone goes through shit, some is just worse than others. I will never recover from this. All the characters who remained alive lost at least 1 person who was very dear to them. Even the end credits are completely silent. We feel the weight of the loss of all these people.
you know, I was watching the ending scene again, and I realized, Caitlyn is looking at the hex gate buildings blueprints, And it shows that the tall chamber that jinx fell down from, has multiple air vents that lead outside, whilst holding the monkey doll's head. And then, at the very last scene, it shows a blimp going off to the distance. If you remember from Aaall back in the first episode of season one, where the crew came top-side for the job, a blimp flew right by them. And what did Powder say??? She said: "One day I'm gonna ride in one of those things." SHE'S ALIVE!!!! SHE'S RIDING THAT BLIMP!
Spoiler if you haven’t looked yet She’s not dead we can see her flash/dash out before the blast happens and “fakes” her death to bring peace to VI’s life but they do meet again in the future because of league.
Spoiler: riot didn't really let the mascot die. in the end, cait analysed the blueprint of the shaft and found that Powder escaped through the vents. You can tell that she believes it because she smiles briefly. In the final scene we see an airship leaving piltover and a jinx-style The End sign. Considering that Powder dreamed of driving such an airship as a child and that there have been repeated hints that she wants to leave Piltover and Zaun, we can assume that she has stolen part of it and is now happily living her life somewhere else. And Riot can still produce cinematics with her in which she makes other areas unsafe.
@feldtarbeiter2963 isn't she in an airship in the Get Jinxed music video at one point. I could be misremembering. Not going to lie, I definitely caught that scene with Caitlyn. And I didn't fully understand it at the time, I was too overwhelmed with emotion, but I think you're right. She made peace with losing Vi a long time ago, and needs to find herself - which she can never do as long as she stays in Zaun. I'm withholding hope that she found a way to escape the blast and through the tunnel.
Thank you Ekko for taking care of her, for making us understand what it means to be the savior boy... It's not easy. I don't think I've ever been so empty in my life for a series or a movie. Masterpiece. Thank you Ekko. Thank you Jinx and thank you Powder.
I’m in love with this song, it has very strong Melanie Martinez vibe to it! However, I feel like the saddest was the Isha’s song. Riot followed the great recipe - sad scene + happy/hopeful music, just like in Up. Every time I hear it - I just start crying uncontrollably, and I’m a grown man, shouldn’t be like this🥲
Fascinatingly suicidal song btw. The sheer suicidality of this song and the sheer suicidality of Jinx (she killed herself multiple times on screen during that Ekko rewind scene) was... something.
That part nearly broke me. Her trying to suicide by cop with vi and cait in episode 3 - atleast she still had fight in her. This time? She's just...done. She knows what she's done and she has accepted she can't outrun it, and is just ready to say goodbye.
The darkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk humor of Ekko fumbling one of his talk attempts by calling her "Pow-... Jinx", and the way she just stares Suicidally at that Goofy fumble and then kills herself.
She's not a big fat hero, she's just a person, just a girl and life happened. The character development is so immersive, deep and relatable to all of us.
@@elpepo0 S2 was cringe. Concentrated cringe. Pure, unmitigated disaster. I earned ZERO of developments it showed. Didnt know it was possible, but they ruined arcane.

“maybe death is like falling asleep” “I used to have strength but i ran out of hope” this song broke my heart into a thousand pieces. if you’ve been suicidal, you know exactly what this song is conveying.
Jinx is alive! There are strong hints in episode 9 and in this song! Reason 1: Just before the grenade explodes, there's a pink flash towards the side of the shaft that Jinx and Vander are falling down. When Jinx uses her shimmer-enhanced speed, it's often accompanied by this colour. Furthermore, see reason 2. Reason 2: At the end Caitlyn is seen holding a fragment of Jinx's grenade and thinking deeply as she looks at the plans for the hexgate. Caitlyn is shown throughout the show to have remarkable deductive abilities when reviewing the scene of an incident. She focuses on the shaft that Jinx and Vander were falling through, and then zooms to the diagram of the "Air duct and cooling system" that branch from that shaft. She then smiles, a little, which I think means she recognises that Jinx could have found a way to survive. Reason 3: The closing scene, before the words "the end" in Jinx's signature scrawl, is of an airship flying into the distance. This is a callback to the start of episode 1 where Powder points to such an airship and says "one day I'm going to fly in one of those", suggesting that Jinx is flying away to another life on that airship. Reason 4: This song's chorus shifts from "I used to have strength but I ran out of hope" to "If it weren’t for you I’d be here all alone", which I think indicates that Jinx was giving in to despair at the start, but at the end began to regain some hope for the future. However, I think she still has not fully healed from losing Isha. She has probably started to see herself as a Jinx once again, and does not want to get too close to the ones she love. I think she will continue to keep tabs on Vi and maybe Ekko, but from a distance and in secret. But maybe there's hope that in the future she will regain the confidence to re-enter their lives. Edit with New info: During Necrit's interview with Christian Linke after Act 3 was aired, when Chris is pressed on the issue of whether Jinx is alive, his answer is "Figure it out. Figure it out." I think we were meant to initially think Jinx died, then after taking a closer look at the hints, work out that she actually probably survived. Link to the part of that interview: th-cam.com/video/lpTX7VDvlaA/w-d-xo.html
Extra observations: 1. Jinx says as they prepare for the final fight with Vander, "I'm always with you, even when we're worlds apart". 2. When Jinx makes her big entrance with Ekko at the last fight, she's still looking incredibly sad, like she's found a reason to join the fight, but is still depressed and lacking any joy or hope. I think these strengthen the theory that Jinx joined the fight with the intention of leaving and keeping an eye on Vi from a distance after the battle. And when she saw Vander attacking Vi, she saw the opportunity to both save her sister and fake her own death.
I agree with everything and i do think she’s alive. The sad thing is that we won’t get any confirmation for at least 3 years until they announce the next show. Caitlyn said “our story is not over”. Maybe some characters like Jinx will appear in the future series.
i believe too cuz pink smoke when she goes into that also in end we see jinx type of screen for second right after airship goes i think she is gone to live free from zuan and piltover start a new life and maybe she will come back in future shows
This song and shot fits Jinx so well but at the same time you just feel so devastated about how much she went through. Truly a cinematic masterpiece As much I wish more to see about this cast I’m glad that they sticked with the 2 season

Guys, this might be the first series where Im actually depressed after I finished it days after. Im not sad the whole day but when I sit down and listen to the season 2 songs my heart just melts, but not in a all negative way it also makes me happy that there are actually people behind the story of arcane, behind the animations, behind all the money that know how love and sadness work and flow together. Who know that a perfect world wouldn't be "perfect". Im not fanboying either, I quit playing LoL many many years ago without ever looking back, but this series is just so good that I can't say other than you HAVE to see this, it might even change your perspective how you see things irl.
Many people are feeling this feeling just keep vibing to the songs until you get tired then listen to other songs. I'll tell you one thing though...."Our Love" from s1 I still listen to that to this day, so pick your poison carefully. You'll make it through

A bunch of things hint that Jinx survived. Caitlyn is holding the cap of the bomb and looking at the blueprints of the hexgate, noting that there are air ducts that Jinx could've escaped through. Also, we literally see a pink streak zoom away from the explosion as it goes off. Rewatch it. That pink streak is Jinx escaping to the air ducts.
Yes. The airship flying off into the distance, with Jinx's style as the very final ending frame. Powder from episode 1 did state that she'd one day ride in an airship just like that.
@@eggiobeggo Maybe she initially dodged to the side just to get out of the way of the explosion, then she found her way to the air ducts once it was safe.
she will alive, ppl just dont noice about how cait doing with her thing at the end and say it's rushed but it not. they said like they really care that much when the last one they dont even care wtf
Did you notice that in that scene how current jinx has the same style as her sister, and the relation to when they were little…she was always looking up to her big sis.
I don't know you and probably never will, but let me tell you, you are not alone with this feeling. Never watched a series, Arcane was brought to me through a friend of mine, never had anything to do with LoL, so I went in neutral. Season 1 I could handle rather well. But just as you wrote, Season 2's ending broke something inside me, I loved watching this show but at the same time I regret watching the end.
I'm feeling the same but keep in mind that there is a chance that they kept her alive because in future shows she might return. It's the end of Arcane but not the end of the characters.
caitlyn was inspecting that hexgate building blueprint while holding the grenade fragment from jinx and they closed in on that blimp part of the blueprint then transitioned into a blimp going somewhere. . she lives
Also, remember the airship that passed by at the beginning of season 1? Jinx (Powder) said that she would one day ride one of those. The ending scene shows an airship and the ending frame is Jinx themed. Maybe Jinx just figured she can't stay around Vi, and left.
"I know it's my fault that I am here all alone" is in my opinion the most devastatingly powerful line in this song, because first, when you're depressed and suicidal, you do blame yourself for everything, even things that logically weren't in your control. Second is that you push others away to spare them from being near you, but at the same time this pushing others away is aggravating your depression.
it’s clear to me that she didn’t die. She was piloting a air balloon at the last scene (just as she mentioned wanting to do back in season 1), and the final shot seemed like a hint at that.
or maybe its the show/writters reminding us what was jixn real dream, what really made her happy for forgot about it in pursuit of revenge etc we often do that, we forget the things that really matter. idk it makes sense for her to die
@@rippeh8942 Also, at the end, when Caitlyn says to Vi, "Are you still in this fight, Violet?" she's talking about Jinx-like, asking if Vi will try to find and get her back, possibly leaving Caitlyn behind. Vi's reply, "I am the dirt under your nails, Cupcake. Nothing’s gonna clean me out,". It makes sense in the context of their relationship.
and when ekko tried to talk to jinx out of it, you'll know that talking with someone who's suffering from depression is not easy at all. It shows that even with ekko having his rewind it takes a lot of try and you have to really know what to say. I hope that all people that suffers from depression meets their own ekko. a person who's very caring and selfless. cuz really he could've stayed with Powder in the good universe, but he chose to go back to save his own universe and his own Powder(Jinx). (WISH THEY COULD'VE GOTTEN A BETTER ENDING THO)
I'm just feeling sick to my stomach just hearing the song...the lyrics...thinking about the visuals...the vocals......the singer even sounds she's desperatly wanting to die. This is too perfect. I'll never get over this.
What was really chilling for me during THAT scene with Ekko talking Jinx out of suicide was just how... realistic Jinx was. Something people don't mention with depression is that it's not just that you're sad. You're numb. You're tired. You're in so much pain and you've been trying your hardest to keep your head out of the water, but it's just getting too much. That look in her eyes is so uncomfortably real. I've been there before. Once I realized what the lyrics right before her first attempt were, my heart sank. But what got me listening to it all the way was the last half: "I’m not ready to face it Don’t go saying goodbye There’s a beauty in changes And I wanna try" "If it weren’t for you I’d be here all alone" "Don't let me go" It's a cry for help and for any inkling of hope out there. Suicidal people don't want to die, but they feel like it's the only way out of the pain. The truth is that that pain isn't going to last. Like Ekko said, there's always the chance to build something new. I'm terrible with words and I'm not sure if this what I'm saying makes sense or if it sounds like sappy word salad, but if you're reading this and you're knee deep in depression, know you're not alone. I'm giving you a bear-hug over the internet. It's never too late.
I haven't even watched it yet and I can FEEL it all already with this song, gods I hope it ends okay at least. Starting my journey into the show in a few days. RIP my soul.
Finished arcane and this song right here broke me. Remembering Isha is no more, Vander lost his last shred of sanity. Hope Jinx left happily 🥹. From the final family hug to this.
Lyrics I've held on for as long as I can For the ones that I had to defend I've been strong every day of my life If she wants, death could take me this time This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow I used to have strength, but I ran out of hope I know it's my fault that I'm here all alone This world is a wasteland Please let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go If I could just lay my head down and rest If there was nothing to fight or protect Maybe then I could finally be free Maybe death is like falling asleep This world is a wasteland whеre nothing can grow I used to have strеngth, but I ran out of hope I know it's my fault that I'm here all alone This world is a wasteland I'm not ready to face it Don't go saying goodbye There's a beauty in changes And I wanna try This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow If it weren't for you, I'd be here all alone I know in my heart this is where we belong This world is a wasteland Don't let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go Don't let me go
This scene was so frightening, heartbreaking, depressing, and heavy. Seeing Jinx just completely give up on life after losing Isha, and wanting to take her own life to stop the pain and the suffering was just heart breaking. Definitely one of the most, if not the most, grim scene in the entire show. I was on the edge of my seat and I felt so sad and heartbroken seeing Jinx in that state. But luckily a special someone came in to the rescue:)
This song hits me to my core, been struggling with crps for the past 6 years. This song perfectly shows how my brain copes with pain after so long. The fantasy of just drifting away never feeling pain again is euiphoric to me, and then I remember my family and the whole fantasy ends in the nightmare of what could happen to everyone I cared about. Somedays feel like absolute torture to keep going but I know that it's worth it for the people I love.

The fact that the last song of Arcane is called Wasteland and one of the lines in Arcane's first song Play Ground is "sink into the wasteland" is poetry
not a coincident
I noticed that instantly. Playground has always been among my favorite tracks from S1, so I was happy to see that profound description return here.

@@myusernamex it's here!!!
The realization of wanting to continue to live... such a beautiful story this song tells.
Jinx's mental health is well written, unlike most popular shows that show schizoaffective disorders, autism, OCD etc like some glorified disorders with super powers. Jinx character goes through the ups and downs of schizoaff, PTSD, mania etc
I was afraid this song and the ending could cause a spike in self harm, please seek help if you are struggling.
Ah, but the song, like the show, has a hopeful ending to it. Jinx lived, but gave Vi a chance to live her own life.
"Please let me go". Girl, that's deep depression. I feel you, I know how she felt
Which is exactly why I can't even listen to the first note of this song without crying uncontrollably...
i'm pretty sure you can't feel even a fraction of what she feels, people nowadays fall into depression just like that, look at what happened to Jinx, you've probably not been through even 5% of that pain
Everyone goes through shit, some is just worse than others. you know, I was watching the ending scene again, and I realized, Caitlyn is looking at the hex gate buildings blueprints, And it shows that the tall chamber that jinx fell down from, has multiple air vents that lead outside, whilst holding the monkey doll's head.
And then, at the very last scene, it shows a blimp going off to the distance. If you remember from Aaall back in the first episode of season one, where the crew came top-side for the job, a blimp flew right by them. And what did Powder say??? She said: "One day I'm gonna ride in one of those things."
SHE'S ALIVE!!!! SHE'S RIDING THAT BLIMP!
Fly free you crazy girl. Hope you find some amount of peace out in those skies.
Omg..
Spoiler if you haven’t looked yet
She’s not dead we can see her flash/dash out before the blast happens and “fakes” her death to bring peace to VI’s life but they do meet again in the future because of league.
@@tempest4804 There is also a scene that Cait look at the cooling system while holding monkey head and smiling which foreshadow jinx didn't die.

especially warwick and heimedinger. I mean wtf.
Spoiler:
riot didn't really let the mascot die. in the end, cait analysed the blueprint of the shaft and found that Powder escaped through the vents.
@@feldtarbeiter2963 S1E1 "One day I'm going to ride in one of those things" - Powder.

The saddest and most relatable song of this season.

This song is not about suicide!
If you relate to this song, then there's definitely something wrong with and i do mean it this time. Seek help

@@zaaz1471 life is like a story. It’s going to end one way or another, but it’s best to live as much as you can.
Edit with New info:
During Necrit's interview with Christian Linke after Act 3 was aired, when Chris is pressed on the issue of whether Jinx is alive, his answer is "Figure it out. Figure it out." I think we were meant to initially think Jinx died, then after taking a closer look at the hints, work out that she actually probably survived.
Link to the part of that interview: th-cam.com/video/lpTX7VDvlaA/w-d-xo.html
Either that or I'm coping hard. 😸
Extra observations:

If she was escaping to the airducts that were below the explosion, how’d that pink strip get there?
@@eggiobeggo Maybe she initially dodged to the side just to get out of the way of the explosion, then she found her way to the air ducts once it was safe.

But just as you wrote, Season 2's ending broke something inside me, I loved watching this show but at the same time I regret watching the end.
I'm feeling the same but keep in mind that there is a chance that they kept her alive because in future shows she might return. It's the end of Arcane but not the end of the characters.
Shes alive, that ending convinced me

Also, remember the airship that passed by at the beginning of season 1? Jinx (Powder) said that she would one day ride one of those. The ending scene shows an airship and the ending frame is Jinx themed. Maybe Jinx just figured she can't stay around Vi, and left.
"I know it's my fault that I am here all alone"
is in my opinion the most devastatingly powerful line in this song, because first, when you're depressed and suicidal, you do blame yourself for everything, even things that logically weren't in your control.

You can really feel Jinx's depression and s*icidality in this song. Poor baby blue...
I can feel every word of this music... this show is amazing, i can't talk anymore...
Bro watching jinx end it over and over again as ekko just tried to think of a way to get her to not pull the pin was just… so heart wrenching
and when ekko tried to talk to jinx out of it, you'll know that talking with someone who's suffering from depression is not easy at all.
But what got me listening to it all the way was the last half:
"I’m not ready to face it
Don’t go saying goodbye
There’s a beauty in changes
And I wanna try"
"If it weren’t for you I’d be here all alone"
"Don't let me go"
It's a cry for help and for any inkling of hope out there.
