What rod is this, I’m fairly new to fly fishing but ready to upgrade and I’ve been trying to figure out what rod he is using. It’s such a beautiful setup.
What an awesome video! I enjoyed it immensely! I have tremendous love for wild trout fishing in tiny creeks. This video checked all the boxes. Thank you!
Came across your channel when I was learning about fly fishing. You've encouraged me to get out there and just enjoy nature and learn a lot about fly fishing.
Nicely done! I love this creek, but have only fished it in winter. It looks so pretty in fall as well, and you can't beat dry fly fishing for these beauties:) I really enjoy your videos, thanks.
Hey what is your set up? I am looking to do some small stream fishing and need a different rod/reel combo and thought yours looked nice! Great footage!
I've only had one opportunity to fish a spring creek. I was in the Badlands region of S Dakota. I had no clue... I thought fish in crystal clear and shallow spring creeks were super finicky. Yet, you seem to be having no trouble hooking up. Is it ALL dry fly sight fishing?
Hold on we have 4 creeks within 25.miles of Reno loaded with German browns up to 4 lbs been fishing them 45 years wish I knew how to post photos 2 pound test micro light number 6 hook with garden worms too much growth to flyfish but I do not post or tell u tube people have fun
Some kind feedback here and I'm not trying to be some snowflake, but: you guys can be pretty rough on fish that aren't up to your standards, and on the other end of the spectrum the spawning/retreating salmon in Washington was just so unethical. I really love the cinematics on this channel and the commentary, but it's tough to see when some fish are treated like they're not worth the time. Other than that, channel is great. Hope this comes across the way I intend
I’ll be honest I don’t know how I’m mistreating trout that are smaller, unless you’re upset that I don’t exactly lay them in the water on occasion😂 which isn’t even mistreatment, I mean they drop fish from airplanes out west and throw them from roads out east. Maybe I could be less lazy for the optics of it BUT it does nothing for the fish. Which makes me think this comment is still stemming from the legally caught and released salmon which is wild😂 either way I wish you the best man!
@@hardmanfishing I've never heard of them being dropped from airplanes, especially natives.... you set the hook like it's a 30 lb'er everytime, they shouldn't become Flying Fish on a hook set and "retrieval". I know you're used to dealing with hate comments all day and have to take them with a grain of salt but that's not what this was at all. All I'm asking, as a person who does support the channel that allows you to do what you do, just think about how you're treating some of these fish man. This ain't anything different than I'd tell my own dad or brother if it was needed.
@@hardmanfishing I'm not 100% concerned with how you're treating fish in 70% of scenarios, but you gotta understand the audience you're growing and right now there's a lot of younger fisherman and they will take an inch and make it a mile. Don't be so butt hurt when somebody says something about what you do, you'd be surprised how much you could grow when you have an open mind and are willing to consider your critics may be jjst 1% right.
Still my favorite TH-camr and still love to fly fish because of you almost have my dream rod and reel❤❤❤👍
Thank you!!!

Thank you so much!
this is Joe Humphreys work right here - you guys are so talented!!
Thank you so much!
My favorite way....and the best eating too...pan size!
What a fantastic little stream and fish. Don't know how you manage to cast the fly in such overgrown conditions, well done.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video. Casting is definitely a challenge in this type of creek
Those are incredible sized Brown Trout for such a small creek. You know in Appalachia most of those would be fingerlings in a creek that size
No doubt! But there are a few magical small Appalachian streams that have fish that size or bigger in them
Enjoyed 👍👍
Guys will watch this video and say "hell yeah". 👌🏻👌🏻
Hell yeah 👍🏼
look at that brown YEAH BABY
Awesome content, thanks!!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Love your vids. Let's get you to 100k.
So close!! Less than 3k to go
i have streams like that in my farm with trout and I love to tie my own flies and fish just like you
That’s awesome!
the underwater releases🤌🏻
Very cool
Thank you!
You're one of the main reasons i started fly-fishing here in PA. May i ask what the big camera you're using is?
Heck yeah! And it’s a Linux GH6 I believe

Colorado last Saturday (given the way the weather changed)?
In Idaho I actually try to avoid these overgrown small creeks. That's where the grizzlies hang out.
Luckily there are no grizzly’s down that far south 😂
What a great video once again👍 I was wondering what editing app you use to these videos.
Premiere pro!

Yep it was all dry fly sight fishing! I think one or two fish were caught blind but not many 😂
Hey man, I was wondering, what are your best flies for stocked trout that I don’t need to euro nymph rod and reel to use?

When you say out west are you in California or Idaho or ?
What rod and reel are you using?
