I came here to make myself feel better about the current state of Ohio State basketball. I know things will get better soon, but it sure stinks missing the tourney.
With the money and recruiting that Ohio State has at its disposal, there is no way they should be missing the tournament. You go from the Final Four and Elite Eight and finishing on top in the Big Ten 3 years in a row to the NIT??? Were you once again get destroyed by Florida in a championship game is not good.
we've never been the same ever since Thomas left early DRuss helped scott and sam finish out their careers but ever since then even the freshman we're recruiting have been transferring. rip the glory years from like 2006-2014 it was a good run
TOTAL team effort in this Buckeyes victory over the Orangemen! Aaron Craft's defense neutralized the advantage Syracuse had with their backcourt of Dion Waiters, Skoop Jardine, Chris Fair and Brandon Triche. Their dribble penetration was virtually nil. Lenzelle Smith, Jr. got hot and hit some timely 3's. Sullinger and Thomas DID their thing offensively in the 2nd half and freshman Amir Williams gave some great minutes in the first half when Sully and Ravenel went out with foul trouble. William Buford's defense and leadership made up for his offensive struggles.
I love that you post full length games! That's amazing! And I can't wait to watch CJ Fair play this upcoming season. I think he's going to have a breakout year.
This was a fantastic regional final game - kind of gets forgotten because it didn't have the big finish but it was a great game between two of the best teams in the country that season.
The bad part of it is if that Syracuse could have won national titles in 2010 and 2012 if it weren't for key players being out for during their tourney runs. In 2010, Oranku got injured and he was key rebounder and defender. Without him, Butler took advantage of his departure and beat them in the Sweet 16. And obviously last year with Fab Melo's academic troubles. He would been the man that would contain Anthony Davis and would have been the only team capable of beating the 'Cats.
Idk if anyone was beating them. Jeff Withey for Kansas was on par with Fab Melo ans an anhot blocking seven footer and played excellent defense on AD (only six points in the title game). It didn’t matter because Kentucky had five other guys that could go for 20 on any given night. Plus Kris Joseph would’ve been guarded by Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, so his points would not have come easily. Also the 6’8 Darius Miller would’ve likely guarded Dion Waiters whenever one of the starters went to the bench. I wish Cuse would’ve had Fab Melo and UNC would’ve had Kendall Marshall. I’m a UK fan but I hate seeing the best teams lose players because of foul trouble. Now in 2010 Syracuse definitely at least makes the title game and likely beats Duke imo. Tbh they should’ve been a two seed and West Virginia should’ve been a one seed considering the injury to Arinze Onuaku occurred before the conference tournaments were even finished, so obviously the brackets weren’t set yet. But healthy Onuaku and SU wins it in 2010 imo. I wish that would’ve happened. It sucks that literally two of Syracuse best teams ever lost their starting centers RIGHT before the tournament.
As a Buckeye, I was glad for the win, but playing against that Syracuse 2-3 zone was like getting a root canal. The points were tough to come by. That was a quality win.
not havin Fab Melo for the tournament changed this whole team last year.. a shame he had to leave for the NBA.. he still had a lot to learn in college.
Seriously, I love these graphics. I mean, the score banner and stuff. I don't know why CBS doesn't use that scheme for all their sports broadcasts, and drop that ugly blue stuff.
That play nearly sums up Crafty's game in a (buckeye) nutshell. It was a great run that year, and the Buckeyes did not have a bad go this year either. (Brutus: "Those stinkin' Kansas teams! What's next, Kansas State stops Ohio State next year?")
Had Wichita State (who i only predicted to get to the Elite 8) not won the West Region, it would've been another Big East vs. Big Ten Final Four (Louisville vs. Ohio State).
i know i cant wait until they unleash that beast in the championship game in april against louisville, i"m predicting a all big easat championship game to send the storied, legend big east out in style :>)
That word apoplectic. Dang good word for this situation. Around the 36 min mark. JB ended up with a Technical foul because he was so apoplectic towards the refs.
Michigan has a better offense this tournament than Ohio State did last tournament. Replace Aaron Craft, William Buford, Deshaun Thomas, and Jared Sullinger with Big Ten Player of the Year Trey Burke; Tim Hardaway, Jr.; Glenn Robinson III; and Mitch McGary and the Wolverines are all set. The one caveat is that Syracuse, missing Fab Melo last tournament, now has a shot blocking duo in Rakeem Christmas and Baye Keita, the former now playing significant minutes this season.
It is, it was, and always will be executed the greatest by Syracuse. So you're comment is pretty asinine. We were also plagued with fouls in the first half. The 2-3 zone did work wonders but it sure as hell worked and did it's job.
Can Michigan learn anything from their archrival Ohio State to exploit anything in Syracuse's zone defense this year? From three early plays on 12:13 - 12:23, 12:44 - 13:04, and 18:38 - 18:49, the Buckeyes attack the zone by posting up either Deshaun Thomas or Jared Sullinger down low while the other either posts high or sets screens for the perimeter players to drive towards the lane. Combined with proper spacing and fluid movement of both the ball and the players, the Buckeyes won the game.
Seriously all these college teams run are really predictable, a lot of pick and rolls passing across the perimeter, some prioritize running the post, but really predictable easy to defend low percentage shots, only get easy shots when the Defense sleeps. Need more creative offensive systems.
Well, it sounded as if it was sarcastic and the whole smh thing is what through me under. Sorry. It would've been foolish if you hadn't of told me you meant 'good'.
I miss this team. Sully, Craft, Buford and Deshawn were so much fun to watch
Fax this team nostalgic
Craft was nice on d @@CrazyVlogggg

Dude!! We're back
Things are indeed better brother
Man this was 9years ago time flies like hell... miss this team

You were damn right in your prediction

Cuse alum, here! Fab Melo shoulda went to class!
The Scatman he died RIP FAB
Shoulda just played him regardless like every other big-time program does.
Sullinger and Thomas should have stayed around longer
It was a surprise that sully stayed 2 years. Not many guys of his talent would
can u upload uconns big east games when kemba walker was on the team all five
If it is possible you should upload the Ohio State vs UC Sweet 16 game if you can.

What I miss is players sticking around for more than a cup of coffee and a donut
Ohio state is my favorite team in football and basketball to
Yeah, they dominate in both sports maybe even NCAAW.)
ohio state was lucky in 1960 to win the national champioship
As a Buckeye, I was glad for the win, but playing against that Syracuse 2-3 zone was like getting a root canal. The points were tough to come by. That was a quality win.
Crazy Game i was at it Got there 1 hr be4 the game nice seeing the players 10 feet away from you and being 2 feet away from Verne Lundquist
not havin Fab Melo for the tournament changed this whole team last year.. a shame he had to leave for the NBA.. he still had a lot to learn in college.
23:27 "Getting up prematurely" LMAOOOOO
What's up with the cuts during the 30 min to 33 minutes mark. Found that strange. Missed the go ahead shot by CUSE
This team had such good team defense on top of individual excellent defenders like craft lenzelle and Buford
Gonna have to rewatch games like this since they cancelled march madness
That Syracuse team was insane. The loss of Fab hurt but they definitely blew that gane
Yep still should have at least made the FInal Four. I wanted that Kentucky v Cuse matchup in the Championship game
They didn't blow it, they got beat.
you know there's bad refs when ESPN guys are tweeting about them....like what happened during this game. 42 free throws against a zone?????
Right? As a Cuse fan, boy was I pissed after this one. Syracuse got absolutely robbed here. 42 free throws. Come on.
Anyone else watching this while Coronavirus has cancelled all live sports
I would go through all of the bad calls against Syracuse but there are too many of them, so just watch the whole game and you'll see them.
if you have syracuse wisconsin game ... that would be great
ay just a question do you know what collage Nerlens Noel is going to
It's funny how Joseph and Melo will be teammates with Sullenger on the Celtics now
any chance you have the syracuse vs wisconsin game from the sweet 16?
Seriously, I love these graphics. I mean, the score banner and stuff. I don't know why CBS doesn't use that scheme for all their sports broadcasts, and drop that ugly blue stuff.

And do you think you could upload some games of Arizona st when James harden was playing for them?
do you have any other Syracuse games? sucks this is the game you uploaded and they lost haha.
losin Fab Melo definitely changed this Syracuse team.. he was beginnin to be an unstoppable force in college.. smh.. RIP to him.
Had Wichita State (who i only predicted to get to the Elite 8) not won the West Region, it would've been another Big East vs. Big Ten Final Four (Louisville vs. Ohio State).
Jared sullinger,Fab melo,Kris Joseph this is were they going 2 play
i know i cant wait until they unleash that beast in the championship game in april against louisville, i"m predicting a all big easat championship game to send the storied, legend big east out in style :>)
Do u have the Syracuse Wisconsin game ??
Thank you.
Do you have the Syracuse/Georgetown Game from 2/8/12? If so, could you upload it when you get a chance. Love the channel

That word apoplectic. Dang good word for this situation. Around the 36 min mark. JB ended up with a Technical foul because he was so apoplectic towards the refs.
Sick game i was there
NIT loss in the first round to Robert Morris should be added lol
Both KU & UK will have their scripts flipped when they go in the road on Dec 22 (KU) and Dec 29 (UK).
yeah, but I can't download that game of off espn3
Well we will never know. Could have been a classic matchup.
My total focus was on the cute blond cheerleader at the net cutting of louisville game.

Craft was a great player coming from a Cuse Fan
It is, it was, and always will be executed the greatest by Syracuse. So you're comment is pretty asinine. We were also plagued with fouls in the first half. The 2-3 zone did work wonders but it sure as hell worked and did it's job.

Seriously all these college teams run are really predictable, a lot of pick and rolls passing across the perimeter, some prioritize running the post, but really predictable easy to defend low percentage shots, only get easy shots when the Defense sleeps. Need more creative offensive systems.

Syracuse lost get over it. I don't care if they didn't have Fantabulous Melo or not.
Not in 2012, because Kentucky would've been able to beat them.
Back when Ohio State played like a 2 seed. 😭
Back when Syracuse wasn't always a double-digit loss team like they are the last five six years LMAO
You a baseball player? hahaha
