We went Wednesday night for the prescreen. The theatre was full. Everyone clapped at the end. It was my era when this movement came through the country and I found Jesus! Wonderful movie!

For people of my generation that came to Jesus in the 70's but maybe through the hard knocks of life wandered away from their faith, I am praying that when see The Jesus Revolution they will return to the lover of their soul and the fire they once felt for the gospel will be rekindled and they will finish their race of life full of love for Jesus!
I was one of those who fell away and returned. My grip is tem times tighter and I spend daily time in the word. Best high I ever have known and I tried everything
Pastor Chuck was my pastor I loved him and I miss him greatly. He changed my life and brought me to Jesus. I can’t wait to see this movie made out of his life 🙏🏼❤
Jonathan Roumie is an amazing actor....gives 110% and am glad to see him have the opportunity to expand. Still love him best as Jesus in The Chosen but I hope he will have the chance to do a variety of films. He is so gifted at his craft.
And in 2024 Mel Gibson's The Resurrection (part2 to his part1, The Passion) is supposed to be released - and, of course, there is the international sensation The Chosen

I Cried thru the movie! So Touching Oh My Goodness! I felt like I went back in time & felt All those Crazy feelings loneliness desperation confusion disappointment & then The JOY & The PEACE of Accepting Jesus into my Heart!!!

The mission was accomplished in the first century within the time statements. The great commission was never intended to be an on-going mission for eternity. See Rev.22:11.
I don’t think Chuck Smith’s real daughter was like the actress who portrayed her in the movie, kaye passed away and couldn’t confirm if the events and scenes in the movie are accurate or not!
But maybe it's for the Christians that have lost sight of their 1st Love. Disillusioned from the church or to busy for GOD. Praying the prodigals will return.
Generally, I did enjoy the movie but only give it maybe 3 out of 5 stars. Production value for Christian movies today match or exceed their secular counterparts, so that was not an issue. Usually the problem is either writing and/or acting in today's Christian movies. I thought Jonathan Roumie's (Lonnie Frisbee) performance was right on... I think the script was weak. Jon Erwin and the producers were trying to focus on three men, Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee and Greg Laurie in one film of whom they could have made three 2 hour movies based on each individual person! Not enough depth. Not enough story.
Wow, I am totally disappointed in Jonathan Roumie for betraying the Church of his youth for money and fame!! The rest of the actors are probably OK because they don't know the truth as of yet. Hopefully Jonathan will ask for forgiveness and not lead others down this ignorant path of this pastor!!! Jesus as well must disappointed in Jonathan as well!! 😢
